I bought the unlocked USA version of the S8+ (SM-G955U1) Pie 9.0 Snapdragon i checked many threads but didnt find about root ... so this version root available or not ??

Hello, im fairly new to android and wanted to root my s8+ but it turns out that I'm running oreo which I believe isn't possible to root. Is there any method for me to down grade from version 8.0 back to 7.0 or will the root work fine on oreo? My phone is the g955u snapdragon model. Thanks for helping out!

go to sammobile or samfirm tool to download the latest version of s8+ is 8.0.0, or use custome recovery to install custom rom.
I have the Canadian G955w and can't find any instructions on getting Pie for it yet.

I've been looking around trying to find a root method for my Galaxy S8+ with android 9 bl version 8 but I have only come across root methods for nougat. Do I just downgrade and work from there?

If you read those guides They all say out right you can only achieve root on 7 no higher if its a US device either root and stay on 7 or you are out of luck
