Hello People
I've seen an issue with all the aosp based custom roms that the messenger chat head lags during the opening and closing of the chat head.
the app itself becomes really laggy when I access it from chat head.
but the miui based roms doesn't have this issue,
Does anyone know how to solve it
I've used pe, pe plus, Evo x, fluid, aex, Corvus all have the same problem
I don't like miui but I've got no room to go now

[Q] MIUI mixed with Cyanogenmod 9

HEy all the awesome devs out there. I have tried almost all the roms out there. Just wanted to request you guyz, that can you people put the messaging and contact app of MIUI into cyanogenmod 9? Like in MIUI has group messaging and the fast scrolling thing that takes you to the top of the conversations. If you accomplish I will first donate then download the ROM. I hope you guys can do this.

AOSP Scrolling bug

Hello,
Me and some people from 4PDA found strange bug in all AOSP-based custom ROMs. Scrolling is accelerating too much. I slightly pull my finger, and it already flies down and accelerates. It is very inconvenient to use. Very well evident in apps like Instagram.
This behavior is ONLY on AOSP roms. Lineage OS and MIUI is just fine.
I tried to change scroll configurations in XuiMod ( Xposed module). I changed scroll friction, but it's not working! This setting worked well on LOS and MIUI.
I think scrolling is broken on AOSP roms. I tried the most popular and everywhere it was the same . Plz developers of AOSiP ( @akhilnarang ), Pixel Experience ( @jhenrique09 ), AEX ( @xdatman ) - can you comment this?
I was on AEX and can confirm this bug, switched to Bootleggers and scrolling is back to normal

Because its based on GZAOSP.
This is really crucial thing, I dont understand why all Rom's developers dont notice it.
Yes. I noticed it even on vertical scrolling app drawer when I have lots of apps. I thought it was something like transition issue or my phone is unable to handle the animation properly. But Lineage and MIUI doesn't have that issue at all. It happened while using every launcher like Nova launcher, stock launcher, Lawnchair, Pixel Launcher with stock scrolling speed and animation.

Scrolling speed / inertia problem

Hi! I bought this phone because it looked good on paper for 150€, but i cannot live with this scrolling, it's pissing me off and I was wondering if there is a fix.
There was enough inertia only in the settings page in MIUI, other apps, like 9gag were terrible. I need like 2 or 3 scroll to get where I want to, where before I used to need 1.
And I still have my old phone for comparing.
So I tried some ROMs, but it's the same there.
Is there a way to change the settings for touch and inertia for scrolling?
I've seen on youtube and on forums that some other Poco and Xiaomi phones have this issue, but failed to find a solution.
When you scroll apps it stops really fast, no inertia.
But when in settings it has some inertia.
Why is that so and how to make it to run in apps like in settings.
The ROM is stock MIUI, I've tried other but it's the same.

Which specific Rom version are you using ?
I recommend that you use Xiaomi.EU custom stable Miui rom
In the video it's the latest 11 Stock ROM beta.
I've tried xiaomi.eu as some other ROMs like LOS, Corvus, Evolution... but nothing helps.
It's so annoying...
I'm bumping this for one more time.
I found this video on youtube.
Anyone have any idea?
Also on reddit...

No solution...
I remember having problems with horizontal swipes (notifications, changing photos in gallery and so on) on 12.0.3 right after I bought the phone. Now I'm on 12.0.8 and I don' notice it anymore. Either it got fixed or I got used to it. I've 9gag to see if it has that lack of inertia your talking about but no problems here. It works as one would expect it to. Hard to tell what's causing this without being able to replicate it but I would start with Android System WebView.
Go to Settings >Applications>3dot menu in the top right corner>Show all>find Android System WebView>Clear all data>Uninstall updates. Not saying it will fix the problem but there's a good chance it will so give it a go.
Same for me on X4 Pro. Miui 13
Any solution yet? That's really annoying.
Same here on Redmi Note Pro 11 5G. Theres no lag or anyting, only scrolling is slow..
Anyone find solution? Is that MIUI problem or hardware?
My finger hurts now, i must realy move finger fast to be able to go trough pages..
Anyone who tells theres no problem is laying, or never used normal phone..
Im disapointed that none of xiaomi developers cares.. I will try other rom, if nothing helps im going to use old phone..

General Twitter, Reddit and Chrome (and maybe more) stutter when scrolling on any rom I've tried

So I've encountered an interesting issue in the last few days while trying many different roms.
There appears to be a stuttering issue/bug with scrolling in apps like Twitter, Reddit and Chrome (and maybe more).
The interesting thing is, they all never stutter on the same rom.
For example; on Arrow OS 11 Rom Twitter stutters but Chrome doesn't, however, on Pixel Plus UI Rom Twitter runs smoothly but Chrome stutters.
Things I tried:
Flashing different Firmware's from Xiaomi (not full os) and then re-flashing roms
Flashing Custom Kernels
Flashing Xiaomi EU roms
Flashing Stock Xiaomi roms
Temporary solution (that still doesn't fix the issue just makes things usable) is to change CPU Governor to something like performance (or change clock manually) and set min GPU clock to 2xx.
Anyways, I hope someone with actual understanding of android development picks this up and find a fix.
Try android 12 roms every thing is pretty smooth for me

Finally someone with the same problem, imo shapeshift ROM is the only one in which Twitter doesn't lag. But it's so annoying to see day to day apps like these to lag like a 2014 phone.

To fix this issue in chrome, you can go to chrome://flags, search for "Android SurfaceControl" and Disable it.
