My phone is bricked(?) yet i never modified it. - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hi, i have an F2 Pro.
My phone had a charging flex problem (it was due to the charging flex not properly connected and needing aditional physical pressure.) So, after watching some tutorials on youtube, i figured how to fix the issue but i had to buy the glue for the back cover first. So meanwhile i just pressed and/or twisted the bottom of my phone and then it would charge until some soft fall would cause the flex to disconnect internally again.
After a failed attemp to open the back cover i shattered it, so had to buy a new one on aliexpress and wait for it to arrive.
Cue some days after, im using the phone in my car and when the phone does feedback (vibration on gestures) it was also making a weird noise from the speaker which happened as the same time as the vibration motor worked. (this issue happened a lot and usually a restart fixed this. So i restarted my phone and it got stuck on MIUI logo.
Since then i've tried to reset/wipe on the stock bootloader (i never modified rom/recovery/bootloader).
So since my phone is locked AND (apparently) bricked, i have searched through XDA and similar places and all info on phones stuck on boot logo seem to require some custom recovery solution or flashing again. So i resorted to making my own thread (in hope that some people will read and help me) because i can't figure out what to do or how to fix my phone.
Summary:
-My bootloader is locked, stock rom MIUI 12.
-Boot gets stuck on MIUI logo
-Tried to use MiFlash tool but doesn't work on locked phone.
-Searched for solutions but all require custom recovery usage.

Miflash works on bootloader locked devices. Just download the latest firmware and flash it

I tried but miflash gives an error about the device being locked. I googled that and tried to put it in EDL Mode but i've had no success so far, got several different errors, probably related to not finding the correct ROM.

Trying this right now, but i don't think i have the right ROM, need to charge my phone a bit because it's kicking me out of mi assistant mode and asking for charger.
Does this require "normal" rom or fastboot rom?
Tried to get the fastboot rom from here https://c.mi.com/bd/miuidownload/detail?guide=2 but the link doesn't work, it just opens the MIUI 12.5 home page.

Try miflashpro https://miflashpro.com
Or xiaomitool https://xiaomitool.com/V2

Now something else messed up The phone charges but there's no data going through. My pc (or any software) doesn't detect the phone in either MIAssistant or fastboot mode.
Guess i don't have the skills, knowledge, or tools to troubleshoot the usb port because i don't even know if the usb port has more than one flex, because i had a problem on the over-the-battery flex that needed more pressure on both ends to not have trouble charging the phone. (my RN8T is detected just fine by the pc.) So i got a nice cute paperweight.

You could have run the warranty before you tried tinkering.

the K30 pro was released 10 months ago and the poco f2 pro 8 months ago.
could be released earlier elsewhere but it's not been a year .
And on the packaging which version is this?
Looks like M2004J11G
I ask this because some vendors install global versions on Chinese phones and in case your pc redetects it, the version to flash will be different.

Legal warranty (required) is only 3 months in my country, some stores (and for some products) give you a 1 year warranty, the store where i bought my phone only offers the 3-month legal warranty.
Meanwhile my redmi note 8t fell in a fkin cup of water, fell off two floors (breaking the camera crystal), went through my partner's hands and still hasn't given up on me.

does this seem ok to you? Since the damage could either be on the flex or the board... i thought why not buy both, im already losing a lot of money if i can't fix the phone so getting these two pieces for 40usd seems fine.
Also, i already tried every type-c cable in my home, as well as all usb ports on two computers, the problem is definitely phone-related.

P8Max DAV-703L rollback to Android 5

Hello,
I recently "upgraded" to Android 6 and I hate it. Not only do I not like it but my phone is very unstable and reboots and random intervals. Battery drain is also insane, lasting only 1 day.
Please let me know how to rollback to previous Android version. I am willing to donate for an answer that works.
Thanks!

1: make sure you have stock recoveries in place (both "recovery" & "recovery2" partitions)
2: have the stock b029 full rom (links available @xda or needrom.com) in the following folder on your sdcard: dload/UPDATE.APP
Make sure this is the extracted file from the zip, not the zip itself
3: power off your phone, press volume down+up+power until you enter eRecovery mode
Happy flashing
In case your phone doesn't recognize the update package, you can download it directly from your phone:
when rebooting, ensure your phone is plugged in via USB to your PC
No luck, bro. Same as before. Phone checks the file, goes from 1 to 4% and then at 5% (when it says "Installing") it says Update Failed. Reboot now.
Tried with eRecovery also (volume+ and USB cable inserted). It connects to WiFi but can't find any package.
I think the only option is to sell the phone and buy a new one with the factory firmware.
Lol, that's not the only option. Download Huawei firmware extractor, extract boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img, cache.img and userdata.img from the B028 firmware (not b029)(you can skip system.img). Use adb and fastboot to flash those files. After you flashed then repeat the firmware flash procedure with firmware b028 in dload folder and vol- vol+ and Power buttons. Did a rollback several times, worked every time for me.

You need your bootloader unlocked. You can use dc-unlocker to do that. It will cost you 3$ or 3€ and 10 minutes of your time:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code
Still more convenient that reselling the phone.
I was hoping that wouldn't be the case. But I guess there is no cure for stupidity, since every time I "upgraded" my phones ever since the Galaxy Note N7000 got Android 4, they always ****ed it up, every single manufacturer. They're not at fault here, I'm the idiot who never learns his lesson.
So yeah, selling my phone it is since if you unlock the bootloader, you lose the warranty and that will make my phone sell for dirt-cheap, since I cannot use it with Android 6.
Thank you all for your help but it looks like this is the only option.
The first chance I get (someone makes a similar-sized device) I will abandon Huawei. Hardware is great but the software is utterly horrid! No-name chinese phones have much better software support than they have.

Unlocking the bootloader doesn't invalidate the warranty, so you're good to go. I for myself love the P8 max, hardware and software. The B029 works extremely good for me after customizing it a bit to fit my needs. There is no reason for me to update to Android 6 since everything works so flawlessly.
If you want to keep the size and don't go any smaller, one of the acceptable alternatives is the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra, even thou I prefer the design of the P8 max.
Unfortunately, in my retarded country (Romania) I have to call Huawei to get the bootlocker unlock code, which by their terms in this ****ty country, invalidates the warranty. I've been through this nightmare before, with the DAV-701L in which I had to call in UK to get an unlock code, which they even said that I will lose the warranty.
These guys ****ed something up because, here's the kicker : you have to get the unlock code FROM Huawei, which invalidates the warranty. But to invalidate the warranty, you need permission from Huawei. **** logic.
The Zenfone is looking mighty delicious, you know. Thanks for the tip!

I must admit that I'm not overhappy with 6.00.
In exchange of a few new feature I lost root and things aren't so smooth anymore. Gonna roll back as soon as I receive my Xiami Max as a backup phone. Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra will be my next buy, but waiting for a phone so long it's a pain in the ass.. they shouldn't announce models months before they can release them. Like HP Elite X3 (January and just coming to shops) or LeTv X910 (which never saw the light) ?
hi guys,
I apologize for resurrection of this thread but does anyone know the location of the stock b029 full rom file ?
I do remember I was running MM and I want to give my P8 max to my niece but unfortunately it's missing OS.
I could install twrp and I was searching for the file but the links are dead and I think this would be the best place to ask.
Anyway, thanks in advance and sorry for bumping up 2 years old thread.

Stuck on EDL Mode

Hi, guys. I have a terrible issue with my phone. I tried to flash stock ROM and phone get bricked. After that, i used a tool to flash without MiFlash but i miss the tool is for Redmi 3S, so i guess i mess up, HardBrick. The thing is that my phone is stuck in EDL mode, if i connect to laptop, that recognize QD Loader 9008 port. But if i flash again, i getting the error "writing exceeded wait time" and in times "only nop and sig tag...."
Any advices folks??

Dont worked any of the advices. The only method i have seen is to pay a s- unlock account (20-30 $) but i certainly need a china rom, and dont exist any for the RN 6 Pro, so i guess i have a paperweight instead :crying:
Hi guys, i need to tell you that i could flash via MiFlash with succeed. The problem i have right now that the phone is in Bootloop, even if i Flash again with newest MiFlash version. I have to say that im unlocked bootloader, what you recomend?
Had the same issue. Went to the service center and they flashed it and gave it back within 15 mins
As i have read in the article from the link below, even for EDL you have to have account approval from Xiaomy (which is paid i assume)...

Well.... after thousand of tries, i could bring back to life my device, only flashing Beta Pie Official rom via MiFlash 2018528. Only thing is that i missed IMEI
I have also watched before (maybe a year ago) some clips on YouTube how to bring back IMEI number (procedure for entering number, you have it on the box of the phone if you still have it).
Hope you will resolve it soon.
I will download MiFlash 2018528 and try to flash MIUI 9 to mine phone... I have read that MIUI 9.6.10.0 have ARB level 4, same as MIUI 10.2.2.0 so it should be safe to flash back to MIUI 9 (really hope it is safe [emoji53])

Question Phone Hard Bricked in EDL mode

Hey!
Soooooo, I tried to update my OS to the most recent while rooted, but I accidentally locked my boot loader, bricked the software, tried to unbrick it, then later got hard bricked in EDL mode. I have tried using the MSM tool for the global version of the Oneplus 9 but it always ended up saying that the image didn't match or something (IDK the thing was in F’ing Chinese). This hard brick has gotten so bad that I cant even hold Vol up + Power to hard restart it. The screen just doesn't come on any more but is still recognized by my computer as a Qualcomm device. Does anyone know of a fix that doesn't include installing the Indian loader?
Model # LE2115 (OP9 Global)
I had a whole weekend of this a few weeks ago, none of the OP9 MSM tools worked but for some reason the OP 9 Pro Global tool worked. The catch was that my phone was now formatted as a 'Pro' Variant and wasn't functional. But at this stage the correct MSM tool for my variant (LE2110) would now recognise it so I was able to restore the phone using that.
This was a long way around the problem so maybe consider it as a very last resort, someone else might have a more direct route to recorvery for you.

I had to do the same thing. I am using a LE2113 and managed to brick my phone in a way where only EDL could save it. I came from the latest OOS (colorOS) firmware and tried to flash LineageOS when everything went south. I tried to use the Oneplus 9 EU MSM tool but this one did not work for me. Since there is no official EU MSM for the LE2113 the only way I could repair it was by using the EU OnePlus 9 pro msm firmware. It only worked with the "use lite firehose" option for me. After that was done I unlocked the bootloader once again and flashed OOS (Android 11) for OnePlus 9 again. This was the way I got the original firmware back on my device although I do not think it would've been possible to relock the bootloader at this point.
Straight after that I once again flashed lineage and everything is working fine now. Certainly a shady approach but it is the end result that counts I'd say.

That's the thing though. I had the LE2115 MSM tool but it was in Chinese for some reason I have a LE2115 phone as well but it said that the files didn't match up. Maybe they uploaded the wrong variant to the website? None of the tools that I had downloaded were in English, all in Chinese.

Question how to unlock my bricked Redmi Note 11 Pro 5g (China:Pissarro) Bootloader

hi, i updated my phone to MIUI 13.0.3 android 12 and i've noticed a bug that made all the apps that are using the camera like instagram and snapchat take blurry pictures like an effect getting applied to the pictures taken by those apps (everything normal in my stock camera app) so i decided to use MiFlash tool to flash the previous android version on my phone but i bricked my phone instead i flashed a global rom while my phone is the chinese market version and accidently checked the ClearData+lock Device check box in MiFlash. the tool flashed the rom successfully but when the phone restarted it showed me a message saying that this rom cannot be installed on this device in recovery mode i couldn't do anything after cuz the bootloader got locked too T i tried everything to unlock it (mtk Client - bootloader unlocker+ adb fastboot + Xiaomi Unlock app ...). please help me is there any way i can fix my phone and what is the righ Rom to flash on my phone (Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G China (21091116C - Pissarro). thnx
friend I'm not a star I tell you how things are 1) you can't go back with another Rom only china 2) anti-roll-back 3) MiCloud you have to disable it you can try MiflashV2 there is also to unlock the bootloader it does everything even the firmware remember if the firmware does not start. important not only china also not china for updates remember first you do the factory reset put google account do not update any app except google drive backup with drive if it has arrived update it is better by setting the time instead of downloading the package the problem is when the update occurs it fails to close all active apps and then there is MiCloud that blocks. Best wishes and good luck and that I have little time for me too much trouble here in Europe.

currently my phone is stuck at the logo and after seconds it loads Fastboot automatically i cant access the phone os to do anything i used the xiaomi bootloader unlocker app that works online but it didnt work . the local cell phone service shops told that they have to open the phones back case to fix it ... i dont want that i've just bought the phone didnt even use it for a whole month
they don't have to open it they use licensed or dongle software (USB type) currently I use unlocktoll.net but if the phone is under warranty and you haven't removed the bootloader before it is better for you. It is possible that others have the same problem as you. Good luck

Rule number 1 for Xiaomi never flash anything on Mediatek devices, it will fail. If messed up, no way back as Xiaomi locks the devices for autorized service providers or local Xiaomi branches only. If you want to play with Xiaomi custom roms/development/etc. related only buy Snapdragon based devices.
I i.e. learned it the hard way, when this all started with the Redmi Note 8 Pro, I bricked it by flashing twrp in Android 11 and Xiaomi didn't want to repair it, so I had to pay some russian guy to fix it via Teamviewer with a modified unlock tool which was able to answer the unlock requests by pasting the answer manually from a generator. It's not like I messed up at a point, it's just that Mediatek devices easily fall in a unrecoverable state. In my term it was the combination of Android version and twrp. You will note there is no Mediatek support on xda and even when your device is named like a Snapdragon version, your device is offtopic here, because trying anything on it beyond unlocking the bootloader is harakiri
how to unlock my bricked Redmi Note 11 Pro 5g (Chinaissarro) Bootloader
Congratulation. Brick without unlocked BL :/
my opinion: you are done....
Some Xiaomi devices have pins on motherboard to
switch EDL, but i dont know with this device.
Try complaint and say something like: "my phone was upgraded and then i see only logo"

I did the same with my device. You can fix it using the MTK tools guide. Its lengthy but easy.

rule #1 with Xiaomi - bootloader is unlocked

Question Is my Note 11E Pro bricked?

I tried to flash Global ROM to Chinese Redmi Note 11E Pro 5G, but when flashing unintentionally ticked "flash and lock" option. Now my phone is stuck in Fastboot mode, and it doesn't allow me to neither flash other ROMs nor unlock using MiFlashUnlock.
I searched how to fix this in Internet, but unfortunately didn't find any solution - every option requires me to unlock bootloader with a functioning phone, but unfortunately that seems not possible in my case.
Is my phone bricked?
Any way to bring it back to life?
Basriy, if you are going to use this route, could you please report whether it was a success?

I would love to. In fact, I have contacted that guy from Telegram and I genuinely believe he is capable of solving my issue. The problem is I couldn't make a payment to his account to finish his job because of financial restrictions at place.
So I think I have a fancy looking brick now.

The guys who repair phones in my town found to be able to fix this kind of a problem as well, but that required physically opening the phone and doing some programming.
And I am still waiting to get help from them. 3 months have passed. Pinged them ~20 times. Each time there's either no answer or a single Yes, but when I give them the connection details, they go completely silent.
