[Q] Problems with disability

Hello everyone!
I had a disability (a paralisis in the four limbs), until now I was using Nokia phones and controlling it with commercial software like MobilEDIT, mVNC and Moteo but today I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S and I'm searching for an application that allows me to control the phone in a similar manner and I've found your screencast sotware that looks very interesting.
My problem is that I'm totally new in the Android world and I've readed that for use your application I need to ROOT my phone but this will invalidate th warranty and I don't know how to ROOT my phone.
I think that your application is very usefull for people with any kind of disability. I worked as a programmer and system administrator for 13 years and I think that I can help with the development of screencast but I don't know where I can beging, I need some advice about how I can start to learn the devolopment for the Andrid system.
Can you help me?

[Q] Tizen future?

Hi everyone,
I was just curious to see if anyone thinks Tizen will make it as a mobile OS?
Between iOS, Android and now Windows Phone the market is crowded. All of these platforms have so much invested. Tizen, Boot to Gecko, Blackberry 10 (QNX OS) and the revamped, open sourced version of WebOS are all fighting to populate their platforms but is it a lost fight?
Is there any hope for these and other Mobile OS' to make an impact?
Can iOS, Android and Windows Phone hold their ground?

Well, that's not really the same, since we have to do all work by ourself. Sony hasn't opend the Smartwatch OS...
hi, this is a message to sony opensmartwatch development team
kindly provide and support the open smartwatch project for smart watch 2
http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/open-smartwatch-project/
http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/open-smartwatch-project/smartwatch-hacker-guide/
http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/open-smartwatch-project/developer-questions/
information is sorely lacking for smartwatch 2
things that could be worth doing on smartwatch 2 includes:
porting tizen os to smart watch 2
https://www.tizen.org/
porting webos to smart watch 2
http://www.openwebosproject.org/
porting opie to smart watch 2
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OPIE_user_interface
porting sailfish os to smart watch 2
https://sailfishos.org/
porting mer os to smart watch 2
http://merproject.org/about.html
etc etc
or even a new dedicated open source platform project targetted to such smartwatch small device platforms
etc. small devices like smartwatch 2 needs to go beyond vm based platform (e.g. dalvik jit) due to the tight hardware constraints, ram, processor speeds, storage, internal flash memory storage, and low battery life. palm os, windows mobile has been pretty successful in these respects in the past creating platforms that runs in little memory, lower cpu speeds and less internal storage.
the old palm iii runs on a mere 2 megs ram

some devices on the more recent windows mobile 6 platform has about the same hardware prowess of today's smartwatches

[Q] Emulating Android Wear on gear 2/gear 2 neo

I Searched on internet to find how to install android wear on gear 2 and neo, but i couldn't find any success.
Then how about emulating android wear with qemu or whatever on gear 2 and neo?
I found this site (download.tizen.org/snapshots/2.3-wearable/common/tizen-2.3-wearable_20140605.1/repos/tizen/armv7l/packages/armv7l/)
and there was qemu-arm-static-0.14.1-1.1.armv7l.rpm.
I'm not a developer so please tell me whether is it possible? or not?
why don't you have a try?

[Completed] Remote control/screen sharing?

I'm adding my dad to our family plan and getting him a smart phone. Probably the HTC Desire 510 (Sprint)
I gave him an old Samsung Galaxy S3 (unactivated) just to play games on, and he really likes it, but it's caused hours of over the phone support because... He's old and has never touched a computer...
Is there a remote control "server" I can install on his phone so I can see what he's doing and help him?
I looked at TeamViewer, but it doesn't seem to allow remote desktop like access.
Thanks,
LT.Son

Check this thread: Way to remote control android phone With tablet.
There are some interesting solutions, e.g. with VNC.
There are also other remote control app, such as [APP][Android 3.0+] Monitordroid - Remote Administration Tool for Android ... and some on Play store, but maybe not exactly what you are looking for.
If you have questions about the TeamViewer app, check this thread: [APP]Teamviewer Quick Support - Remote control the Note by the computer/laptop FREE.
Best place to ask is in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Thread closed and thank you.
