I actually love the 12.2.4 update (I knew what I was getting into and was fine using the poco launcher). But I have this issue where the status bar is black sometimes and the gesture indicator has this annoying white bar behind it that really looks ugly... (see screenshot) Do I have to uninstall other launchers? Or should I reset poco launcher?
[E] After uninstalling nova launcher it was gone, but now it's back
The status bar is black since miui 12, if you have a bright background. I don't know who is the brilliant developer, that thought this is a good idea.
Try changing the background, or try the settings under "more dark mode options" - "adjust wallpaper to dark mode" with ON and OFF.
I have a blue background, which also turns the status bar black, if I turn the mentioned setting off.

Thx for the suggestion! But I don't use dark mode at all. It also turns dark when I'm on light mode and I get that ugly bar behind the gesture indicator at the bottom.
I think it has something to do with display size setting in accessibility (or DPI). When I use display size S or XS, I don't have the issue only with L or when I set DPI lower than 392 (which is stock).. But why!?
[e] upon further testing I found out that it's a combination of setting DPI below 392 and the wallpaper... Maybe it's because of the colors in the wallpaper or the size or I don't know but certain (scrolling) wallpapers in combination with low DPI produce this bug with gesture indicator and status bar color pretty sure it has to do with bright/dark color but not sure. Weird stuff, but it seems like I fixed it.

Hi
i did a search but cant seem to pin a how too
I want to be abled to always show even if status bar is transparent over top of a game playing so I can see what the wifi and battery is doing
I know can slide finger down. but it auto hides..
1) how can you change the time out of that
2) turn it auto hiding again..even if its finger swipe up
I search xposed modules but onyl found one that changes colour of clock and adds battery percentage
but nothing there to always show e.g. in full screen
if theres a module or app that edits build pro easily so can turn off and on would be great
cheers
I found a app.. but makes background solid its better then nothing
but thought xposed would have a option like this and choose transparent or own colours
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.jskt.togglestatusbar&hl=en
dont worry I found using the app below to turn it off and on when need and xposed module
Force Translucent KitKat and tick status but leave nav bar untick did the job!
does the trick.. now no black background but see through so it dont hide the
scores etc behind the status bar
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.jskt.togglestatusbar&hl=en
UPDATE--- found a better module for xposed but have to pay $3 for pro version
has a pop out you can enable to customise transparency and color for status bar
flat style colored bars
bonus is I can make the nav bar solid color like black with white font instead
of see through when swiping to bring up over top of a game
On an unrooted phone running Nougat, does anyone know of a way to change the background color of the notification tile that appears on the lock screen? While running Marshmallow, the below weather notification had a dark gray color that contrasted well from the font. Now after updating, the color is a lighter gray, which makes it difficult for me to read the writing. Changing themes did not affect the color. In the slide-down notifications menu, the tile still has the same dark gray background but not on the lock screen. Thanks in advance.
I know it's the gradient fading in of the notification bar, and it's just on the home screen...is there anyway to disable it?
Change your theme or wallpaper. Problem solved.

Obviously, but I would like to keep a dark wallpaper and stock theme. That's why I'm asking.
I've had the same issue! It's horrible as the gradient isn't even that smooth.
I tried Nova Launcher and it still did it. Changing theme didn't seem to fix it.
The fact that it goes away on every other screen makes me think it should be able to be disabled...maybe with package disabler, but I don't want to blindly disable stuff and mess something up.
I've only found a few similar things online for this, but it seems Samsung dump some stupid fade effect on the notification bar. I wish I could turn it off. Or force a proper transparent bar on the home screen

It happened to me also. I am using nova launcher. Apply the theme again, than apply the wallpaper and choose to apply on both scrern and lockscreen. Then you can choose whatever you want for the lockscreen again.
Samsung doesn't let us change the color of the white navbar buttons-> Result:Burn in!
I really cannot understand the decision of Samsung not to provide the option of changing the color of the white navbar icons.
I use black themes and wallpapers for 1 year now. Black wallpapers and themes appear great on amoled screens and also help the battery life.
In order for the navigation bar to match my black interface, i turned the navigation bar to black.
The problem is that all these months the navbar is black but the navbar icons are white.
So after 1 year of light use i got a burn in of the icons of the navbar and i have to ask for a screen replacement.
If Samsung had given me choice, i would have set dark grey color for the navbar icons and i wouldn't had burn in. Someone can say that it's my fault because i turn the navbar to black so the contrast with the white icons was too big. Others could say "why didn't you hide completely the navbar? To these type of questions i reply with a question : Was it so difficult for Samsung to give an option to choose a color for the icons of the navbar???? Is it bad to prefer black interface on amoled displays which have exactly this advantage compared to the lcds???
I really hope that someone in Samsung will see this post. It's the first time i am thinking of giving up the amoled displays. In the past i didn't have such a problem because the navbar was outside the screen. Now with the bezeless screens, the navbar burn in issue is more easy to appear.
Just hide navbar or remove it with root/adb

If you read my post, you ll see that the meaning of it is not the solution "just hide it". And if it is more practical for me to have it shown as it is by default? What is the answer of Samsung on this? "Well, we couldn't provide the option to change the color of the navigation buttons, we haven't the knowledge that developers of play store have ( there are navigation bars which let the user change the color of the buttons), sorry for the burn-in" ???
Has anyone totally disabled the navbar and replaced it with one of the play store? I personally hide the stock, installed one from the play store, but when i enter an app, the interface of the app doesn't move up, so the buttons of the navigation bar fall inside the app's interface.
I disabled the navigation bar using this methos and works perfectly, is not even complicated.
Navigation Gestures
When i used black nav bar i noticed it's area was a little bit brighter color after that I removed it completely
I changed color to black.
Samsung want that your screen will burn and you buy a always the newest phone.
I use Gesture Controls app and disable the nav bar. However one solution is you can download an overlay that changes the buttons to the Pixel buttons and sets there color to a dark grey. That's what I had been using before the gesture control. Numerous options on Substratum as well. Good luck!
Hi, I'm trying to use Tasker to change the theme with light, dark theme, but every time I changed it, it won't reflect the actual display theme. When I set it to black, the display settings show that theme is black bit the actual theme is still light. I tried restarting systemUI but only the status bar gets changed.
