Hi I got a honor magic watch 2 46mm. The issue is with GPS locking. Sometimes it locks and sometimes it doesn't lock at all. I ran 10k the other day and it didn't lock onto gps. My watch is a non EU version huwaei have told me. Under warranty but not in the EU. My question is,
I'm assuming the hardware is the same in all these watches, regardless of where its from?
Can I flash UK or whatever region I'm in Firmware to this watch?
My watch seems to work fine after a factory reset but after a while I get the same gps lock problem.
My friends got same watch as me , there gps locks straightaway, no problems. I have the latest fw for the watch..is it hardware or firmware related issue?
Cheers

i purchased a new samsung galaxy s4 GT-9505 international unlocked, (it came from Rusia) and it had not the band for 4g in USA. 15 days later I just crash the screen and i took it to repair, but in the repair store they got some problems getting the new screen and they put one from another model, i receive once the phone and the touch buttons (to the left and the rigth of the home) were not working, i returned it to the repair store and after a month or more i got my phone back, but it has been flash with a Mexico (claro) firmaware, (AP I337MUMUEMK6) the only good thing is that the 4g was working. it has a problem that suddenly the wifi shutdown and you need to reboot it to enable it again, it became more often until now that it's completely death (the Bluetooth too), reading in the forums i found that it may be a problem of the firmware, so i flashed it with the version I337MVLUFNC1, and it worked just fine, including wifi and bluetooth, but after a couple of weeks i got the same problem, wifi shutdown with the Bluetooth and now is not working at all even if i flash it again, i tried using several rooms such cyanogen but i think it's not the problem. i'm not an expert in android devices, i don't understand where the drivers are, i guess that in the ap file. i know that the broadcome card that manage the wifi/BT is integrated in the main board of the phone, so i'm not sure if it could be a hardware issue, i think is related to software/drivers
what i'm traying to do now is to revert my phone back to the original version GT-9505 to see if it fix the problem, i got the samsung offical version (the 4 packages AP, BL, CSC and CP, but when i want to flash i got an error while trying to "re-partition" , so i download the "re-partition" table (pit file)for the GT 9505 form here, in one post, but before do this i want to come to you to get your advice, is it something i can do? or is there any other and better way to try to fix it?
in the other hand, if i got to work the 4g after the several week of repair, it mean that they finally change the main board too? basically, they change internally all the phone?
please advice.
Hello,
I live in Europe and received verizon samsung s3 sch-i535 as gift from USA. Its a nice phone but the GPS isnt working - i tried tightening screws, using various gps applications but still e.g. GPS Essential sees 0 satellites. I only get a lock on using wi-fi but In my everyday usage I cant always relay on that and need satellites.
The question is if the problems stems from malfunctioning hardware or it could be something caused by the fact that im using a branded us phone in europe? (there is a permanent notification that sim card is from unknown source)
Would changing rom to non-branded help? or should I just seek to fix hardware? ( if I cant do that myself I dont know if it wouldnt be too expensive compared to phone price to let specialist do that)
Thanks in advance for advices.

i have the same problem too, it appear it affected only to certain type of modem. in my case huawei brand (!!!). and TP-Link, Dlink.
if yours still under warranty, get it change. i am still awaiting for replacement ( almost 2 weeks already). you probably need to bring that modem for proof. in my case i just lucky it doesnt connect to the service center wifi ( although i bring my wifi as a proof)
mine also TL10 gold version

how can i request change, i have bought it from Saudi arabia and right now i'm living in Morocco?
Hey everyone,
I've never really been into the whole flashing deal and I'm also pretty new to the xda-forums so pls don't hurt!
Anyway, so live in Germany and imported myself an S6 Dual Sim Version via Amazon, so that I could have Internet both there and at home in Ausria at all times. It had a Russian Baseband and CSC but it worked and filthy casual that I am I really didn't mind until now. It's a really weird issue, so sorry that the post turned out pretty long. I haven't found any similar common 6.0.1 Bugs, however I'm not even completely sure if it really is a problem of the updated OS anymore...
So here's the deal.
In Germany I got the prompt to update to Marshmellow 6.0.1 via OTA. Having heard mostly good things about it I downloaded it without really bothering too much about informing myself about any known issues with 6.0.x . After downloading it in Germany my Signal and Mobile Internet worked fine, however I did experience some battery drain in the following days and decided to initialise my phone via Samsung Smart Switch, as I had done with 5.1.1 when I first got the phone because it's cpu never went into sleep mode. Worked out fine then.
Well ever since I did the same thing with my S6 with 6.0.1 the whole dilemma started. Regularly, my phone will show 4G Signal Reception and even full bars, but I am not able to load a webpage or even be called by phone. Wifi works fine, when I have these outages. When I activate flymode and deactivate it again, my reception works again for a couple of minutes, however, the issue will return after 5-10 minutes. Usually even faster when I'm in a moving car or train.
When I switch SIM Cards I can be called on both, but I can't seem to connect to my mobile internet on the Austrian card (can't check on the mobile connection from the german card as roaming is locked by the provider). I went to my austrian network provider and had my sim card replaced, no change. I flashed DBT G920FXXU3DPCA Android 6.0.1 via Samsung Updates hoping that the right baseband would fix it - Nope.
Any of you guys have any other ideas? My last resort is flashing back to 5.1.1 stock. Trying to replace it through Amazon will probably be hard, because the KNOX Counter is tripped. It already was before I flashed 6.0.1, but that doesn't really matter to Amazon I guess. Also the bug is way to specific to replicate anyway, so I'd probably receive the same device back and I don't really know how I could prove via screenshot, etc...
If there's anything I can upload that would help, pls tell. Hoping somebody here might have an idea!
Having similar problems but also with wifi. Any advise appreciated

I have the same problem with cellular reception with my S6 duos G920F. My problem is only with sim slot 2 though. It seems to show full bars but when people call me they are getting me as unreachable.
I recently picked my note pro 12.2 back up after some time sitting unused. I finally got around to getting the flickering screen fixed and want to get back into using the tablet more often. The issue I'm having now is updating to a more recent firmware. I'm unable to even check if I have the most recent firmware because I don't have a Verizon data plan or SIM anymore (long time coming) and it doesn't seem to want to update without that connection. Does anyone have a way to go about updating the tablet manually?
Also, is there anyway that I can flash the Wifi firmware on to the tablet so it ignores the fact that I have the data connectivity and acts like a wifi model? I've rooted multiple phones in the past, and as long as I have a good set of instructions I can do quite a bit but I'm still looking for an answer to this question.
Thank you.
you can use samsung smartswitch for PC: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/smart-switch
to get the latest firmware.
just note if you need root, the new versions of 5.1.1 are not yet rootable.
unfortunately this device has a locked bootloader so flashing a non Verizon firmware to get wifi only is not possible currently.
I have noticed if you have a sim card installed with no service (I have a Tmobile sim with no service currently) it drains the battery pretty bad as it keeps looking for service, connecting and then disconnecting.
I turned off mobile data in the settings which fixed that for me.
Thanks for the info. I'll take a look at updating it to the latest firmware. I don't need root, was going to do it if we could flash the wifi firmware.
