How to use contacts from Outlook account? I want to change my main account from gmail to outlook but I cannot found this option. Is there anyone that could explain it please on dumbie mode (my level of IT knowledge). Thanks a lot in advance.

there is an outlook one first, and then my personal account.

I only use one email, but could the first letter of your email or description affect its order?
Dunno if theres vaulable information in the outlook account, but you could try recover/save the information/emails. And delete and recreate the account. Might be second then.

Hm, I deleted my e-mail accounts so that only the Outlook (which I feed by Active syn thru USB) should remain on the Manila mail tap, but nothing, I can not get acces to Outlook thru the Manila Mail tap! There are 2 more htreads in this forum which discuss the sam problem, but no solution

I have a Samsung i760. Only MMS is showing in the email screen. My normal outlook mailbox does not.
I have the same problem : i've installed live messenger hive sync mail, and when i unistalled it, the mails items were still on mail tab. But when i open outlook to delete the account, there is no account !
i tried to reinstall live messenger, activate and deactivate sync mail, and now i've 2 fakes mail accounts !
Has anyone found a solution to this yet?

I have somehow ended up with a ton of duplicate entries on my xv6900 . . . does anyone know of a good way / program to take care of this? I've found a lot of programs online for doing it through Outlook, but I'm not willing to drop $40.00 to fix it (yet) . . . help!
depend on how many contacts one have really with my number
i would del them so it match in outlook and then set activesync to
make my pda mirror outlook on pc
sync and then set it back to merge from both so contacts added on
the pda would not be whiped when one sync

also there is a problem when syncing to your outlook on your pc if you have any or work. then when you sync to your personal email out side of that.
some people have multiple hotmail, outlook ( work ) aol, gmail.
go into your sync on the phone and under sync uncheck the outlook that way it wont do both also.

Any chance there is a solution for the calendar?
can someone tell me how to import / export contact from my HTC Touch Pro into my desktop?? or how to save this contact into a file that i can re-open or re-load after i upgrade my ROM??? since after upgrade ROM the contact and everything will be gone...
or can someone tell me which folder in the HTC Touch pro that contain all contact??

Use google Sync!! It will sync up your contacts AND your calendar!
just open up Activesync, goto "Add server source" from the menu, for the username, use your full username including @gmail.com, make sure use SSL is turned on, the domain is m.google.com
only sync the contacts and calendar ( I *think* they will be adding tasks to the list of syncable items soon)
Enjoy! I have had to do many hardresets since i got this phone, google sync even restores picture ID's!
You can then access and export your contacts from www.google.com/contacts if you want to
or you could always just sync with microsoft outlook.. or any other exchange server..

Syncs the data with your google/gmail accounts.
You can use PIM backup to simply save your contact info, no need for a pc at all!

I found a simple solution... Flash your device. Sync with MyPhone. Delete Outlook personal folders file and create a new, empty one (easy way to just delete everything from Outlook). Then set up sync between device and Outlook, voila - all your data goes first from MyPhone to device, then from device to Outlook.

How to delete contacts from Outlook ?
cos i have 200 contacts & is there a bulk way to remove
or have to do each one by one ?
& my phone for some reason is not updateing contacts
that i add & updated on my phone
so after i remove all contacts from outlook will it sync
or should i create new partnership
from phone to PC

Create new Contacts folder
The syncronization between WinMo with Outlook via Activesync regarding the contacts is done using the default Outlook contacts folder. So, what I use to do is to create another contacts folder and move there as many contacts as I want not meant to be sync'd. This way, I achive what I want, and keep intact all the remaining contacts, which you can move back and forth as you please, any time.
However, my understanding of "syncronization" is not all these tricks (I know that sometimes there is no other way) but a single utility that syncs, echoes, replicates or whatsoever. From this point of view, I would like to reiterate the original question: Is there "something" to sync My Phone with Outlook?

FWIW i have the same issue with my Xperia connected toOutlook and a mail2web Exchange account. The only commonality is my Xperia in the middle and the only working solution has been to clear out the Outlook Calendar and Contacts before resynching, after allowing time for the OTA Exchange to finish.
Well, I can save contacts to my phone itself, but if I try to save to my Outlook (prefered) or Google accounts, they dont save. After hitting save, it just goes back to the number as if the phone doesnt know who they are, and the contact is not in my contact list.
Tried removing and readding my Outlook account - same behaviour.
This is pretty damn bad for me - I need to be able to add clients to my phone then be able to access them from my Outlook account elsewhere. Can anyone help? It seems to be an issue other people have had over the years under different configurations from googling about, but I never see a solution.

Anyone have a solution for this? I have the same problem on my s7. I have a custom rom on it and did NOT install the stock email app. I'm running a Microsoft outlook exchange account on this gmail app (it was setup through it). My contacts, calender, and email sync fine but I can not edit my exchange contacts on my phone. Also I can not save new contacts to my exchange account from my phone. This is a big problem.
