Which is the fastest ROM with lots of free memory for J200H?
I am willing to build Android 10 based ROM for J200h, anyone interested in collab? It will have custom kernel for overclocking and monitor mode.

[HELP] Best kernel and ROM

Hi, i need to know which is the best kernel and also the best ROM for my Tab 2 (P5100) because i need to improve its performance that are very bad now.
I'm an expert user so tell me all you know please!
The best (and only) kernel is AnyKernel by Andi (does not support overclock). There are a lot of good roms, you should try a few and see for yourself which suits you more. If you like marshmallow I recommend AICP 11 or Slim6.

Stable ROM for daily use?

Hi!
I really love my phone and i need to know, if there is any ROM that doesn't has lag, bugs and some extra free RAM, i tried from KK roms to Oreo roms and i really didn't notice any difference (in every ROM i have at least 300mb ~ 280mb free RAM)
I prefer an Oreo ROM, but i know it's still at development and has bugs and is kinda laggy.
any recomendations?
if you need hassle free stable daily driver material stick to Noughat ROMs, not that Oreo ROMs are bad but they are still experimental.
I would recommend AOSPEx v4.6 as it was almost latest security updates (05/2018), or the latest greatest LOS 14.1
Paranoid Android (N) the best rom :fingers-crossed:
U can try
1)Aosp Extended
2)RR
3)Crdroid
4)los

It depends on the device you're using, the redmi note 5 forums have some good Kernel, read threads and see what the feedback is to know which kernel fits best your expectations.
Have fun flashing

How do custom rom makers make custom rom for different android version?

I heard that custom ROM makers build ROMs on top of a stock ROM and modify it, but how does a custom ROM developer make a custom ROM for Android 6 on an android 4 device where only android 4 is available. At what level is there a difference between the Android versions? Is it at kernel level, Application level?
Suppose I wanted to make an Android 6 custom ROM for and android 4 device, what tools do I use?

Devs that build ROM use directly the Android source code, that every OEM use to build their own OSfor a specific phone.
They can build at any Android version because they don't use the original ROM from the phone, they use AOSP, then modify AOSP to add those sweet features.
The only thing that they use from the phone is its kernel, and OEM post the Kernel's source code on GitHub or another platform to let developers (like ROM devs) work with the phone more deeply.
So to answer your question, Android version are different because features are added and the code modified, every custom ROM for every phone is based on the same Android source code (AOSP). The difference between the phones is at the Kernel level.
