A small but very annoying issue (at least for me).
No matter what I try, Upday spotify recommends region content for the wrong country. It used to be French recommendations now it's Swiss or otherwise German.

As you can see I have a multiregion ROM, but somehow it defaults to Austria as Country instead of the Netherlands (PHN).
When I originally had the phone it was a French bougies rom, which was the reason I changed Rom in the first place. (First timer for Samsung, via Odin).
I made sure to download the generic PHN version, which is for Austria, the Netherlands and another I don't remember.
Does anybody know a workaround for this other then cooking a Rom which a single CCIC?
There is a Vodaphone PHN rom available, which I suspect might work, since it is a Dutch provider and the rom is marked PHN.
But I have T-Mobile and do not wish neither the Vodaphone bloats are, nor T-Mobiles for that matter.
The carrier id boggles me as well. (Picture)
I suspect somehow that Upday looks for hw (see picture) for it's recommendations or is it the carrier id?

That's definitely crucial for our future of custom roms. Hope there's some bleed over for those of us with unlocked gsm versions.
Actually I was hoping there'd be a ROM update for Unlocked GSM Treo Pro owners and it was just me who couldn't find it.
So... there's no update for those with an unlocked Treo Pro? :-|
My "stupid" girlfriend has bought a palm treo pro but with a german ROM (she s french and speak just english more...) This upgrade is the solution for her? or not? any suggestions?

If she bought one that is only in german then chances are she bought a GSM phone. This upgrade is only for the CDMA version of the Treo Pro.
so whats new in it ?? its not wm6.5 is it ?

No, unfortunately it only appears to have freed up an extra 2MB of memory or so on startup. There have been no other visual differences found. It has however gotten us a good copy of the rom to start working with for the future.
Does this update work on Canada's Bell phones?
I am making a custom rom for a friend of mine who has the sprint verison of this phone and was just wondering if there is a solution for flashing a custom rom. thanks

Hmm, maybe the Software is faulty or some kind of region locked.
Did you tried to reset the Software / Phone? to factory settings

maybe a sprint block because the region...yeah i tried factory reset...I'm reading some topics and I found this topic. you think is better solution ?
honestly never tried it, so i don't know if it works.
but before that you should try to flash a RUU for your region, maybe this will fix your problem.

Originally was brand WIND and if I remember correctly was version 8.1.0.130 (C187), after using rebrand I brought it to version 8.1.0.161 (C432), until here all right, but still not happy I downloaded from firmware finder version CLT-L09 9.0.0.163 (C432E5R1P9) and I installed it successfully and here everything is OK and all working!
From here on come the problems:
I tried to go back to version 8.1.0.161 (C432), but after installing the phone no longer restarted!
Now recovery mode and Erecovery mode no longer work!
According to you you can do something to revive him, or I created a firm card from 500 euros!
I have also deprived with the dload system, but with negative result!
Coming soon if I can, I also add photos of the screens of the device!

Hope you all are doing well.
A while ago, I have decided to flash the Russian firmware to get android 11 (Couldn't wait lol). Few days later, I have flashed the UAE XSG firmware. My device's original CSC is MID Iraq. Now, my current CSC code is as follows:
XSG/MID, MID/MID
Based on this, will I have any problems receiving OTA updates in the future? Someone told my the that the first two CSCs must be the same do that, but I'm not sure if this is true because the second CSC only indicates the type of sim card I have in SIM-1.

I also recently upgraded to Android 11. The problem is that now the device gives me the message "Emergency calls only" and won't connect to any mobile network. I am based in South Africa. I updated with the stock firmware CSC "CFA" for Panama (original) then also tried XFA for South Africa but still I get the same message.
If anyone knows how to solve this please help!!
Can anyone pls tell me that what is the current csc of my device?
And most importantly my phone's built no is SM-G970U can I flash a firmware of SM-G970U1?

The CSC is within the last line: SPR/XAA/VZW

Basically, this is saying that the active CSC is SPR (Sprint)
... and the phone/ROM not able to determine the CSC of your SIM (XAA is the base/multi-CSC code for the ROM)
... and the phone was "born" as VZW (Verizon). This last one cannot be changed normally, and really doesn't matter (except to the carriers - for example, ATT won't activate a VZW phone, etc... for no real valid reason).
Also, the "OYN_SPR" in the ROM detail tells you that OYN = XAA, and that the ROM was built as an SPR ROM, which is probably why the first CSC is SPR. This is also telling you it's a U-ROM, which is a carrier-specific ROM (U1 is truly open-carrier).
If I flash One from U1
Then will I get ota updates, staying outside USA??
No, I don't thnk you will ever get OTA updates on outside-USA carriers.
But, you can flash ODIN updates yourself... since there aren't that many updates left for this phone, you really don't need OTA updates, because they aren't really happening that often.
