Hello guys, wats up! I gladly installed Corvus Rom based on android 10 today on my OPO 6 and I always have the habit of frequently wiping my screen with a soft cloth after every use and have noticed that the screen gets turned on during the wipe, this happens when the device is set to AOD, which I like n need but I really don't want the screen to turn on whenever there's a touch input on the ambient display. I tried searching for this setting to toggle it off for more then a hr but still didn't find it, any help on this would be greatly appreciated. And one more thing, why is the always on display not true black n just with a dark Grey background while it's on? I mean, come on this is also an Amoled display right? This is noticeable only in pitch darkness...

Hi -- who knows if a dedicated Shadow forum will be added here, so for now I created one at a freebie forum site. Don't really know what I'm doing, but it seems to be working OK. If they add a sub-forum here, I'll just cut 'n paste it all over and close the other one.

Looks like a good forum, many good sub-topics, etc.
However, I closed the page quickly, and didn't open any of the posts. Why? That idiotic background "music" is extremely annoying! I couldn't stand to keep hearing that over and over. So I closed the page, without reading any posts.
If there is any way you can get rid of that background noise, please do so. (I didn't see any way for the user to turn it off.)
I use Kaspersky Internet Suite, it has a banner-blocking feature that shields me from that -- sorry, it's a freebie site and I have no control over their ads. Alright, hopefully someone can help. I am running a WVGA HTC Imagio with WM6.5 and a NRG custom rom with sense 2.5. I just recently installed and then removed the newest HTC Messaging Client. Couldn't send or recieve MMS messages. Thats all fixed now, but, whenever I get a text or MMS message, the notification bubble shows in my top bar, but nowhere else, not even my unread notification on Sense. It does show up in the standard lock screen (HTC's) however.
No, it doesn't show up in Titanium either, just shows 'no new texts'.
It also doesn't show up when I use ThrottleLauncher, iPhoneToday, Infinity, Androkkid, or Home2.
So, it shows up in the lock screen, but no where else. Any ideas?
also, why is my tag or whatever showing that 'OP' thing?
anyone got anything?

Alright, got a little more information. I checked HKCU/System/State/Mesages/SMS/Unread and the 'count' register. When I send a test text, it doesn't change, it stays at 0. BUT when I change it manually to '1', then it registers in all my systems (TL, iPT, Sense 2.5, etc).
But when I remove the '1', its back to where no notifications other than in the top bar and lock screen are given. I do get the usual message notifications via sound and vibrate as well.
So, does anyone have any idea on why it works for the lock screen and top bar, but not in sense or any other UI?

As i said that your problem may be related to the ROM or the messeging client, try and post in the ROM thread ( that is the the Thread from where you got the ROM which is currently installed on your device ) or the messeging client thread.

I was trying to develop a full screen application on Android CM9 for a Galaxy Tab 7" P1000 with the 20120407 build and HumberOS Kernel 20120325.
It appears that only shadow mode applications can be run in full screen (without combined bar).
As I am new and cannot post on developer sections, I am posting this there.
I looked in different sections (GTab specific, Android dev specific, other devices...) but could not find an answer :
What is a shadow mode Android application?

I believe this is related to the screen and the softbuttons and hiding them and making apps go full fullscreen (lol).
This is just an educated guess though...

I knew that already because it is the purpose of my question but thanks anyway.
As for doing it, I put >> android:theme="@android:style/Theme.NoTitleBar.Fullscreen" << in my Android activity definition but this is not sufficient, that is why I was asking what is a shadow mode app.
Some people on the forum stated that only those apps could hide the soft buttons if along with it the correct option was checked in the parameters (and of course I checked it).
I tried some other application styles but none of them happened to put the activity in real full screen, without soft buttons.
I am going to check again and see if someone asked it in the past days!

I want to open a thread about the battery temperature.
Please share your maximum battery temperature prices, in Celcius or in Fahrenheit and what type of phone you have.
I have a Galaxy S10e and my max temperature was 47C (it gets hot only on Dex mode)

Maximum is 47? That's not bad. I live in Africa. In summer, it gets really hot here. In summer, April, it gets as high as 47-48 Celsius.
As for the phone, I was using Galaxy S7 Exynos last year, On CPU-Z or something, the battery reached 57° and that was on normal usage. When I use LTE and play something, it gets really hot that I have to put it on the freezer.
The phone does not charge except after it cools down. But after the hot season, it works just fine, sometimes it doesn't exceed 45 even on high usage.
I think mine went close to 60 degrees Celsius. S9+.

There was a strange red icon with timer and call duration in the middle of the status bar while I'm on call on my oneplus phone. It doesnt look like usual call icon it shows numbers in this format (timer/call duration count down). Its unusually strange and nothing happening when i click on it. I know the usual red icon with call duration it doesnt look like it . I googled what it is on my phone since then it disappeared on the next call i made. Could my phone be hacked ? Is there any definite way of knowing this ? I didnt take the screenshot and it dissapeared now to take it . I've been kind of targetted by police for a civil matter and demanding me the money. Could my phone being monitored ? . I don't know what it is i never installed any other app other than from app store also i have kaspersky installed.
Yes, you can be tracked. If it were true, you probably wouldn't know it.
Google removes applications that do not meet the requirements from time to time. Check if the installed application is still visible in the www play store browser (without logging into the play store).
