I'd return it as faulty personally as never experienced anything like that on 10 or 11

Mine does a similar thing but only in video mode when I zoom in. It seems it's trying to smooth the phone shakes even when it's perfectly still. It must be an app bug because it only happens in video mode and doesn't happen on other apps like Open Camera.

Won't record video?

Just got my nexus a couple days and it's been great up until now. I recently thought I was recording a video and was dissapointed to find that not only did it not record, but won't record anything. Nothing happens when I press the record button in video mode. Takes pictures just fine, plays video just fine. Everything else is working great. I hope there's some simple thing I'm doing wrong but I know my way around an android phone and I don't understand what could be the issue.
Thanks for any help!

Video stabilization is turned off when setting is set to "on"

I was little disappointed with poor video stabilization capabilities of S6, so I even had to use Stabilize' option in YouTube after uploading my videos. Then I thought maybe my optical image stabilization component is damaged so I started playing with it and once I turned it off in camera app settings, my video stabilization started to work very well. Then I noticed some other people noticed the same thing on S6 Edge forum. So it seems to be a bug in camera software. Anyway - if you want to have video stabilization you need to have it turned off. It's funny that most people didn't notice this issue It also took my almost 6 weeks to find it out as some videos are good even without video stabilization

Nokia 3 choppy video recording on certain apps(snapchat, instagram , etc)

I have an issue with my nokia 3 when it comes to recording videos with certain apps like snapchat, instagram, facebook etc. when recording the videos would be choppy and laggy(the device itself doesn't slow down) this happens when recording with both the front and back camera
when I record with the actual camera app that came installed with the phone the videos are perfect. I tried to fix the choppy video recording by going to developer options and enabling 'force gpu rendering' as I read somewhere that it helps video recording but that didn't work for me.
Does anyone have any solution?
Nokia 3 - model TA-1020
Any help or suggestions would be great

I have the exact same problem, and no-one found a solution yet. I think it is a hardware problem, and i honestly HATE THIS PHONE SO MUCH NOW
I had an issue with Snapchat crashing on a Nokia 3. What worked for me was moving the app to internal storage, external storage just isn't quick enough. Hope this helps!
Snapchat doesn't work properly in Nokia 3, TA-1032
Even I'm facing the same. But you move it to internal or external storage ,the problem remains the same.
Here, I've a strange problem. When I opt for an AR filter in snapchat, the camera freezes, but when I click a photo it clicks with a AR filter. I can't really enjoy it's feature. The snapchat camera works worst in this device.
I've contact to the developers, because these problems ariese after oreo version update, but they said,"we don't support 3rd party apps". wtf!
Actually the problem is that they pack this device with old MT-6737, in high prize. I think sometimes, why did they launch this stupid device in 2017?

Question Video Stuttering At Start of Every Recording

Hi everyone!
As the title says, I'm having issues with the Xiaomi 12 (Cupid) camera app. When I start recording a video in any resolution, framerate and settings combination I could come up with - the video stutters and skips frames in the first couple of seconds. After that, the video is smooth no matter how long I record. The device does not get hot and this happens every time when I open the app and start recording the video.
It's been happening on official ROM and continues to happen on Xiaomi.eu latest weekly ROM. This issue is only in the Xiaomi default camera app and does not happen in other apps like Open Camera or GCam versions that work with the device.
Does anyone have any idea how this could be solved and what's causing it?
I've attached a video below for reference, you can see the stutter in the first few seconds.
Thanks!
