Can I flash the Verizon firmware onto an unlocked (IN2015) Oneplus 8? - OnePlus 8 Questions & Answers

I purchased a fully unlocked OnePlus 8 (IN2015) but have discovered that only the OnePlus 5G UW (running Verizon firmware) can use all of the Verizon network features like wifi calling, vvm, etc. I have reflashed carrier phones with global firmware in the past, but is it possible to go in reverse? Where do I find the carrier images?

I certainly can't speak to the whole "going in reverse" thing, but you can find the Verizon MSM image here. Worst case scenario, you try and it fails, MSM back to the unlocked global and you're back to square 1.

AT&T Note 8 on T-Mobile

Upgraded to Note 9, want to pass my Note 8 on to a T-Mobile user. I want a complete T-Mobile experience, so all T-Mobile bloat and settings are needed (VoLTE, Hotspot, etc...) . Note 8 currently has latest CRID OTA from ATT. Looking for help in determining the correct way to proceed. I am having AT&T carrier unlock the device, so I would make this change after confirmed unlock. Also, once this is finished, will the device receive T-Mobile OTA updates?
I have read through https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/how-to/guide-sm-n950u-u1-t3685884 but am confused. I see lots of mention of combination files, CSC changing, etc... that seem overkill for what i'm looking for.
Are these the steps I need to take?
1) Download latest Odin compatible TMB Firmware (which is what version?)
2) Download Odin on PC
3) Factory reset Note 8
4) Flash TMB firmware
5) Insert TMB SIM card
6) Success?
Yes just download this file
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950U/TMB/download/N950USQU5CRIA/237765/
Flash everything with Odin and you will have a full 100% T-Mobile Note8 with all carrier features working

I saw here that simply flashing a different carrier firmware will not actually change carriers?? Is that correct?

Someone in that thread said I would need to flash an unlocked U1 firmware and then the TMB firmware?
I am about to do this as well, switching from AT&T to T Mobile using my AT&T branded Note 8. I just wanted to confirm that it's as simple as downloading the latest Android Pie firmware for T Mobile and flash it to the AT&T branded phone? Any precaution like some other thread mentioned to flash the U1 (unlocked) firmware first then flash the T Mobile firmware?
Also, eventually, I will be giving this Note 8 to someone in China. At that point, is it better to flash the unlocked version of firmware or just leave the T Mobile firmware on it?
Thanks so much for your help.
Note: the phone is already unlocked.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I went and got T Mobile. After the new SIM card was inserted in my AT&T Note 8, after a reboot, it did something, a screen with a SIM car graphics and some moving dot. Then it rebooted itself again, and then T Mobile splash screen showed up. It even added the bloatware from T Mobile. So, Android 9 for Note 8 probably has both ROMs? I also checked the firmware version. It shows the latest T Mobile ROM.
I didn't have to do anything other than just inserting the new SIM card from T Mobile.
This is very interesting to me, and the store guy couldn't believe his eyes either.

And i was wondering why my phone still showing at&t bloatware even after installing the Verizon firmware. ? Now i understand Cuz I'm using at&t sim. Good to know?
Another update!
I just got updated by T-Mobile to the latest firmware after converting over as previously stated. I have to say that the update page on the phone for the T-Mobile firmware is MUCH nicer and informative than the ATT version. It tells you how much time left, the version numbers, and even a "what's new" section...
After this update, my phone is actually better at battery usage.

Tmobile Converted OP7 Pro question

I converted my Oneplus 7 Pro to the international version, and while I like it, I've messed with it too much at this point and have introduced issue.
What would be the fastest/best way to completely wipe my phone and return it back to stock (international stock not the tmobile stock)

Run the MSM tool again.
Use this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/op7pro-version-t-mobile-msm-tool-t3954464

Do all AOSP ROMs break T-Mobile variant?

I have a T-Mobile OP7 pro that I've had unlocked from the network, and I've been running the international version of OOS for some time. This week I tried changing to Havoc OS (because I've used it on previous phones), and now I'm stuck in a bootloop. I don't even get to the ROM's boot screen. I know I can put factory software back on there, but I'm not ready to give up unless someone here knows whether it's impossible to run AOSP ROMs on a T-Mobile OP7 pro.
You're better off converting the phone into the international variant using the MSM tool. I have a converted unit, and all ROMs work properly after conversion.

Oneplus 8 uw updates to android11

Hi, I bought a oneplus 8 phone from verizon USA I'm from Europe (Romania) and I'm on Orange, I saw that on oxygen update my device is not compatible with local installation, for reasons of state policies that do not allow the user to access the firmware, you can tell me if I will continue to receive the update, that I still have android 10 and I'm afraid I can no longer update
Hello, man how you unlock your sim? I am out of the USA and cannot use with any carrier. Thanks.
You should be on 11 now. It may not be able to update due to not being on Verizon's network. The only way to fix that would be to convert to global but I'm not sure how to do that on a Verizon device as they don't offer the bootloader unlock token service. I know there is a thread about it on here though.

Question How to fix T-Mobile/Sprint carrier issue on International FW

Hey everyone!
So, I own a LE2115 OP9 5G and it is currently operating stock OOS 12, I have no issues with it, I've run multiple custom ROM and have rooted it from the beginning. My issue is this:
I currently use Metro by T-Mobile as a carrier, I wanted to switch carriers and as it is network unlocked from the factory, I assumed that it would be good to go as far as switching it to a Sprint/T-Mobile acct. Apparently, they "Sprint" is having some sort of issue activating the SIM because it is international FW. Could I possibly change my FW variant to T-Mobile and solve the issue? If so, can I do that using an MSM tool? If anyone has the solution, I'd really like to be instructed how to fix this. I love the device, and it's just strange that I cant get it to work even though Sprint and T-Movile and Metro by T-Mobile should all be the same. Thanks in advance!
