Hello how are you? I am Nadir, from Argentina. I am needing to develop an application for event ticket sales. Soon I will be managing live music events, on youtube-live.
I don't know where to start, the application must have a billboard where you can buy tickets to the events, with a specific price, paying by paypal, or other regional electronic means of payment. In turn, I should be able to modify the billboard at will, and automatically delete the events on a certain date, and update the billboard (with image or video content). To buy the ticket, the user should also place the youtube account through which he would see the private event, and I access that database to manually place them on the youtube-live list. I must also have access to a database that informs me which user paid the entrance, when, and how much he paid for it, in order to report to the owner of the bar. It should also have notifications and memories of the events. Likewise, a link to subscribe to the channel since some events will be free. Where do I start? If you have better ideas please share them, I'll use google translate to read them. Greetings to all, and ah! my knowledge was only 2 years of programming where I made a program for taxis in c ++, I only understand that data is generated and stored to compare and generate new data. So I will study specifically what you tell me, it gives me the head to understand. I am very grateful, greetings.

I am attempting to write my first android app - L.A. Fitness. It will allow you to pull data from the L.A. Fitness website (really nothing special) the real feature that I want is a widget that shows last login time information.
Basically L.A. Fitness stores badge scan information on their site. I want to pull this somehow and show it so that I know the last time I signed in. The problem is that I am spending to much time in the gym and it is bad for body building.
I will also have a map inside that pinpoints the location of L.A. Fitness' close by and give directions.
So... My problem is that I do not know how to pull data from the website. I was told that L.A. Fitness would have to have an API but I dont understand why this is necessary for data from the web. I also dont know how to pass credentials so I guess all in all im lost.
really... no one
I personally haven't played with the SDK a lot myself, but your best bet would be some kind of feed that they have. XML or RSS or something like that. This could be easily implemented into a widget.
You could try to crawl the site. Read the HTML pages and interpret that. But this is usually against the TOS. You are usually not allowed to rip data from their pages and use it in your application. You may need written consent from them, otherwise they can sue you.

Hi guys !
I'm a french student, and with a friend we would like to create an app. I'm not giving the details, but there would be a centralized database, accessible (but not writable) from an android app. I'd like to create a number of semi-admin, where every semi-admin can write only a selected (by us) and different part of the database. Only us will create the admin accounts and database. I want that when an admin writes his part of the database, the whole database is automaticly updated, and every user will see the modifications.
This project is low-cost, we'll not earn a lot with it. I thought about a cloud database, so that every writing is saved instantly and every user would have the modifications done when they use our app. I'd like to know if it exists, and if there is a free one. (The database would be really small, but there would be up to 100 000 access per week, and up to 1000 writing. I'd like it to be fluid.)
Do you have any ideas, name of cloud database services, or comments ??
Thank you for your help, and sorry for my English
Hi all,
Have been looking for a crm, stock & invoicing type app to run on my samsung tablet for a little while and am not really finding anything that covers all of the bases. Most just seem to be front ends for large corporate systems and the others very limited in what they can do, so I thought I'd seek guidance.
What I'm looking for, well I'm self employed and travel to a customers premises where I primarily sell a product but also carry out ongoing servicing. Regular service's also include additional products. Some of my products are stock items but many are ordered from a small number of suppliers specifically on behalf of the customer.
The app will need to; maintain a customer database, be able to schedule appointments with them, maintain an account balance, generate an invoice that is emailable direct from the app, maintain a stock list, raise orders to replace stock or to fulfill customer demand, generate various reports for total receipts, total spend, customer spend etc. Ideally this should all be able to sync back to google docs for record keeping, analysis etc.
So what do you think people any ideas?
I have so far spent 3 days trawling through the app market with no luck, nothing I've found does all of it and juggling 2 or 3 apps is defeating the purpose of using an android tablet I may as well just buy a notepad & pencil.
Not sure if this is the correct forum for this so, please move if you feel somewhere else is more appropriate.
Many thanks
Jon
Edit sorry realised it's in the wrong place, have reposted but can't see how to delete this post, admin can you delete please.
Good afternoon everyone,
I have been thinking about an app that my company could use when staff are sent away on weekend events.
The company hires our PDQ (payment terminals) to various markets/fairs/events throughout the country. They are based in London, with most of the events being further out in the country (Telford, Oxfordshire, to name a few). Whilst at the event I would like for our customers feedback, complaints, questions, concerns, ideas, notes on our equipment, e.t.c. to be logged using a tablet, rather than pen and paper. I feel the most effective way to do this is creating our own app. It does not have to be pristine, with a professionally chosen colour scheme, perfect graphics e.t.c., but a simple app that is user friendly and just works. Ideally we would be able to upload an Excel spreadsheet to it, containing customer details, that can be displayed using some form of table/report layout whereby notes can be added. So, for example, 50 customers and their details are on the spreadsheet, it's uploaded to the app and each one can be opened individually. A signature section to confirm receipt of the equipment would also be a fantastic bonus. Once the event is over with, it would help if the report can be pushed/emailed in a usable format (again Excel would be great) so that certain parts can be extracted and used in various other reports.
So my question is... Am I completely mad for hoping the above is achievable, or extortionately costly? Or is it relatively simple considering the advancements in app making and the kinds that are available today? Could a relative novice be able to make it, or is it best reserved for a Pro?
Any help, questions, suggestions, silly remarks welcome.
Thank you

That certainly is a nice idea, but unfortunately it doesn't seem very realistic.
If anyone was to attempt to create that, it'd definitely need to be an experience app maker, as the code required to make an app like that is astronomically difficult.
Meh. :|
Scaling it back...
OK, I thought that may have been a lot of 'blue-sky' thinking. How about if the information was entered manually somehow and then notes were made on each one?
It would be great if each event could be stored on the app and looked back over for reference if need be. Say if the customers information was entered using the app creation tool, then a signature was taken and saved as an image, perhaps a picture of it can be taken and then uploaded to the app?
To the app developers... Is there something based on my proposal that could be made more easily?
Thank you
Hello girls and guys,
in my opinion we are far enough to create an app that put the future in the pocket of our trousers.
My vision is to pay with this application in every nation because this app could be the start of the new currency of earth.get credits for buying a google play store card and get the value in credits on your account. The banks wont like that because it should be cost free for the customers.
My vision is that the citizen office have all information about me,they should know where i live, what i am earning and what grade of education i got, If i change town they can request the data and i have to confirm that on my phone. Taxes and earnings should be billed by this application to make it fair for everyone to work at another place, another country or work for every day at another company for 3 hours. Everything is registered and accept within seconds and the paper war should end.
Messaging could be revolutionized as well.A pdf letterbox with automatic generated folders help you to keep the official stuff under control, your bank can send you the date and the time for a meeting and with a simple click on yes you have a new event in your calendar.
Politicans and governmets can push simple yes/no/reason why surveys on your phone to improve their leading style and decide about the things that should happen in the state,or city or global.
Did he said global? yes, global desicions for an global government with globalized laws and rights and a global language for an global currency would bring us to nan strong community of earth. Brought by an application, thats the way i imagine the future. Access to tv,radio and libraries save room, sattelites and transmission towers. An open API for companies can give their workers benefits like access to specific books, data about the company,an stock market plugin or connection to distribution software without touching private data on the phone.
If you want to work in an other country the built in english translator will help you to have no language issiues and with sharing your confirmed data your educational work wont get lost because of other school systems. This application is also your global ID card . Trusting in someone could be easier with an application like this.
I am planning to create this app,but maybe you have more ideas that are a total important for an app that bring us in a better society.I also need an developer for this project, maybe you are reading this and want to cooperate. My job is it to collect ideas, bring the finished application to the companies, governments and build a network of all nations, next to my job, to make the future good.
Of course, this sounds like an NSA dream, but if we develope this together in an open source project faster than a big company, than i think we have nothing to worry.
Thank you for your time and comments.
