Hey can you please help me out .
I am a noob so please bear with me .
I somehow went to recovery by using the ROM manager and installed a custom rom but forgot to install the gapps
So here comes the problem , i switch off the phone and go to fastboot ( Power + Vol down ) and when i try to go to recovery(CWM) , the "Unlocked Bootloader " screen keeps looping . Holding the power button and going to fastboot is the only thing possible .
Now I'm not able to access the phone normally because if i click on normal powerup its stuck at "unlocked bootloader" screen( not looping here but stuck , loops when i click recovery ) & I'm not able to go to recovery .
I tried re-flashing typing [fastboot flash recovery recovery.img] in cmd from pc . But not working .
I tried downloading another CWM & TWRP cuz i thought this version for faulty or smth but still same .
I used these following command in the fastboot hoping that it will hep ( just erasing data n all ) ( I found these here in XDA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277112 )
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase system -w
fastboot boot recovery.img
So to be clear . I can use only the fastboot screen and nothing else . PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SOMEONE TELL ME MY PHONE IS NOT BRICKED AND HELP ME OUT . I AM REALLY DESPERATE AND IRRITATED WITH THIS WHOLE THING
PS I WAS ABLE TO ACCESS MY PHONE (BUT NOT RECOVERY)UNTIL I INSTALLED THIS APP FROM XDA CALLED "FLASHGORDON" WHICH CLAIMED TO INSTALL ANY ZIP (IN MY CASE GAPPS) WITHOUT RECOVERY . IT FLASHED I GUESS BUT AS MENTIONED I HAD STUCK AT BOOT PROBLEM AFTER THAT .
PLEASE HELP ME .IM HOPELESS AND DESPERATE
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. What device do you have? Try flashing the factory image with fastboot.

You can use the fastboot rom method but it will delete all your data. This will bring back phone to stock. From there you can flash twrp and magisk.

Need help...
I typed Fastboot boot twrp.img instead of fastboot flash boot twrp.img
And that was to boot_a
So then i tried fastboot flash boot_b twrp.img
It wont load the recovery now. Phone wont boot up unless i
fastboot boot patched11.2.7.7DA.img
I even try to install Magisk directly and it fails.
Can I get some help. Dont even wanna restart my phone.
Thank you
All Good Now.... I Figured It Out!
Hi , I just screwed up when I was trying to flash TWRP recovery on my OnePlus 7 Pro. I accidentally wrote "fastboot flash boot twrp.img" instead of "fastboot boot twrp.img" and now my phone wont boot into anything but the bootloader. How can I fix this issue? Thanks heaps!
Edit: Ok, it looks like I need the boot.img from stock firmware. Could someone provide that for me? My download speed is super slow (like less than 100 KB/s) so downloading the stock firmware is gonna take me 7 hours D: (Yay for living in the middle of nowhere!!)
fastboot boot twrp.img shouldn't have messed anything up. That should just have booted the recovery without installing it, and this is the command you should use.
If you want help getting the boot image you should probably post what build and version you are using, since there are quite a few to pick from.

Well my phone won't boot now, so it did something wrong haha :'( When I go fastboot boot twrp.img, the phone hangs on it's splash screen of the 1+ logo, with powered by android at the bottom.
As for build, I think it was the latest version out 11.0.0.2.GM21AA, thank you!
Also, typing fastboot flash boot twrp.img then trying to reboot to recovery just takes me back to the stock bootloader, so I don't know what's going on there :\
Also, fastboot gives this as it's outupt about why it can't flash twrp to the phone, using fastboot flash recovery twrp.img:
Writing 'recovery' FAILED (remote: '(recovery_b) No such partition')

I feel your pain on download speed. Took me two tries, finally had to zip it I will try to upload boot.img for op7p 11.0.2.1, OnePlus7ProOxygen_21.P.38_OTA_0380_all_2107172338_49e62 build which I believe is the latest. Use at your own risk. It would be good to know for sure what build you're on.

Thank you mate!
Merry Christmas guys,
I have a really unusual situation.
First time that I have tried all tricks I know and I can't get myself out of this difficult situation.
I was trying to update Magisk with a patched boot file and after a reboot I was not being able anymore to access the system but only this black screen with the Crashdump Mode is appearing.
I can access the Fastboot screen, but no way to reboot to the TWRP recovery or to flash another boot.img, even through some pc flashing utilities.
Is there anything to try through another slot or something else?
I also tried:
fastboot flash boot_a boot.img
and I get this error:
FAILED (remote: Flashing is not allowed for Critical Partitions)
But my bootloader is unlocked and other commands like fastboot reboot works normally.
After I flashed through fastboot the images of boot, abl, dtbo, fw I can only access the TWRP recovery where everything is decrypted.
Any other ideas?
Try booting temporary into TWRP by using this command
fastboot boot twrp.img
If you can't use MSMDownloadTool
