Like two or three months ago, i opened up the developer settings with the "tap 7 times on the build number" method. And i used it, then i wanted to turn it off. To do this: i went to my application settings, found the "settings" app and cleared data and the cache. With this method, my developer settings gone.
So, i wanted to turn it on again couple of days ago, tapped on the build number and a pop-up showed up like this:
"No need, developer mode has already been enabled"
Then when i go to the main settings page, where the developer settings were in, there was no developer settings.
And yes, i know where the developer settings exactly is. So please don' t answer me like "check again", "tap on the build number for seven times", "restart your phone" or something like these.
And no, since i cant reach to the developer settings, i can't open the "OEM unlock" and "USB debugging" settings.
And i also tried the "Activity launcher" app but it didn't work too.
Please help...
Did you thy this one?

Just reset the phone if you really need dev options

I'm currently using lenovo A536 with os version 4.4.2. When I enable my dev options only only 3 of them pop out: stay awake, usb debugging and allow mock locations.
So, my question is why don't I see the rest of the options like "Show touches", "Screen updates", "CPU usage", "Pointer location" etc. ?

Some phones' individual software actually remove these extra options. It's quite a hassle, but unfortunately it's just the way it is.
For example, my device doesn't even have Mock Location in the Developer Options - I had to edit the kernel to get that turned on!

The first time I enabled "Developer options" I had more than 15 but now when I entered again they weren't there.
Im too using lenovo a536
You shall download "show touches"
Available in play store to enable "show touches"
Hello everyone, do you guys have any idea why my developer option suddenly cant be turn on? Even the options under it like forcue GPU rendering and USB debugging mode can't be enabled. The switch has been disabled.
Please see screenshot attached.
Im not unlocked nor rooted. 100% stock.
Okay, i got my own problem solved. I just data cleared the [Settings] app under app manager. Then re-tapped build number multiple times again to re-show the developer option menu and bam! All options are now changeable again.
I don't know what happened but my theory is that it got messed up when I updated the phone. I initially enabled the developer option when I first got the phone yesterday. Upon arrival at my home, I updated to the latest build. After that the developer option was disabled.
I wanted to try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/debloater-remove-carrier-bloat-t2998294/. And, I could not find "Developer Options" in settings anywhere? I know I would need to enable USB Connectivity and maybe some other things as well. Anyone know where "Developer Options" is located in settings? Is it there at all?
Go to about phone and tap on build number until prompt says developer options are enabled. Back out to main settings, you should see developer options at the bottom.

That worked. Thx. Where the hell did Samsung reveal this?? It's the weirdest thing I ever saw...
Developer Options has been in most mobile devices for years..

I meant to ask about the method that is used to reveal Developer Options in this phone? I have not seen this method before.
Not sure when Samsung implemented but I have accessed it via build number for other devices for as long as I can recall.

It's a standard android feature.
As per the title, I've enabled the Developer Options menu by tapping the build number 7 times, the entry appears in the Settings menu but when I try to open it I get a message : "You must first Enable Developer Options". Is there another setting hidden somewhere else ? I can't find anything by using the built-in search engine.

Hello, No there isn't.
Reboot the phone, tap build number again 7/8 times and see if it works again. If your on branded firmware it's sometimes disabled.

I already tried this several times before posting here, and I'm running the stock Samsung ROM. Weird thing is it used to work some time ago.
From what can tell despite being enabled, I can no longer see developer options in settings. I'm assuming this happened after I rooted, because I had been in the setting before. I tried a few searches but they were all related to how to enable developer option.
You may need to re-enable the developer options again by clicking the "Build" number a bunch of time in the "about" section of settings, then developer options should re-appear in settings.

ok, yea that was the first thing i did when I was unable to locate it. I even searched it but nothing came up. What's odd is I kept going back, scrolling through thinking I was missing something...after maybe the 4th time I searched it again, despite it not working previously, but it showed up. So i am able to access it through searching, but I still don't see it in the settings list.
OK,
Might be a dumb question, but you do know that to get to "Developer" options you first need to go into "Settings", then "System", then drop down "Advanced", then scroll down and second from the bottom is "developer options".
If it's not there, then maybe go back into developer options using the search as you stated, then turn off developer options via the slide switch at the top, then re-enable it using the build taps and see if it then adds it back into settings.

wow, wtf. I used developer options already on this phone to enable usb debugging.
I had no issues finding it, I swear it was just in the list with the regular settings, the ones with the color icons next to them....but you're right, it was right where you said it was. Doesn't look familiar at all considering I've already accessed the setting a couple times before.
Thanks man, idk how long it would've taken me to figure that out.
