Hi . In realme X7 Pro, 120Hz is not compatible with all applications such as PUBG, and it automatically returns to 60Hz. Is there a way to make it stay 120hz at all times.
FPS is always capped: by
1. GPU ( the more powerful the graphics card the higher its FPS )
2. Monitor Refresh Rate ( a 60Hz monitor allows only 60 frames / second displayed even if FPS produced by GPU is 120Hz )
AFAIK default FPS on Adroid is 60Hz

That's right, but it happened with realme x2pro and they sorted it out. I don't know if there is a solution with X7 Pro
The Realme X7 Pro features a Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
So, check whether there is any setting options in those apps in order to stay 120hz at all times.
I think it needs to be flashed. Or we wait for future updates
Even when entering the 90fps file in the data or using gfxtool, it is not accepted. Because the problem in the phone system does not remain 120hz even though it is not in the automatic mode
I think Realme X7 Pro with Mediatek Dimensity 1000+ chipset comes with an inbuilt option to change the display refresh rate. Not sure about it.

Anyone playing pubg mobile on realme x50pro? Pubg mobile has released version 1.0 with alot of updates including 90fps option. I updated it on my x50pro(china rom) and it unlock 90fps. I set my screen refresh rate to 90hz and in game graphics setting to 90fps. But I can only get 60fps showing in the fps meter of game space. I once got 90fps only one match and after that match,it went back to 60fps again. Is that my phones error or tecent has to fix it? Are you having this issues too?

Could be either tbh, 90fps games at 90hz are quite new to the market. Game Space might not be used to 90fps and thus need upgrading. Or it may be something Tencent decide and authorise devices to support it. Ultimately, it's something that if it's not working now. Hopefully Realme / Tencent will fix as 120hz / 90hz SD865s are popular and might just need adjusting. GIve it some time, new feature. Might take a bit to sort out.

I have the same feeling : Mario Kart looks like smoother in 60 hz rather then 120hz. It's just a feeling, I have no proof about it.
its not just the apps
they use dynamic refresh rate and it means the refresh rate changes in order to save battery
I notice lags even when I do basic things like opening the recent apps menu or opening some apps, this **** is so annoying....
I hope poco adds a feature to turn off dynamic refresh rate. Coz it affects the fps of the games. Like literally affects the performance that is not compatible with dynamic refresh rate. Even if you set it to 60hz it throttle sometimes to 30. Which maybe the culprit in playing games like call of duty mobile. I hope the devz will read this anyhow. Thank you
Why do gaming android rom dont have option to reduce resolution without creating visual bug ? i mean that is the super obvious way to increase fps
The FPS that can get achieved at maximum depends on device's SoC capabilities and also on device's Screen Refresh rate. Lowering the Screen Resolution doesn't increase FPS, it simply scales down the number of pixels what must get calculated
Is there any way for iqoo 7 to force all apps to run on 120hz
For Example - Youtube app runs on 60 fps
swiggy & zomato apps also run on 60 fps.

This cant be changed as it depends on app developer...eg YouTube currently supports videos up to 60 frame rate, video in frame rate over that cap will be automatically compressed and converted to 60 FPS hence it cant support 120 hz
