WhatsApp notifications overlapping after Android 11 update - Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite Questions & Answers

After upgrading to Android 11 on MIUI12 stock (MIUI-V12.1.2.0.RJIEUXM) my WhatsApp notifications in the pull down draw tend to overlap over the text when using the quick reply feature. I did a data wipe via recovery which didn't work - I thought this was a hard reset? Not sure if a factory reset would work but wanted to see if anyone else has had an issue with it as well before I do that?

So I did a factory reset but I am still getting the same issue with the notifications. There doesn't seem to be any other issues related to this when I search for it.
Noticed that it's all notifications, not just WhatsApp. Profile pictures and names will show on the wrong person or group.

I have same issue with notifications. Also, distraction-free mode is not working.

Can confirm the notifications glitch here as well. After Android 11 update, notifications are unreliable. Besides this overlapping bug, sometimes they even make a sound/vibration, but disappears from notification shade. MIUI feels buggier than ever, honestly...

Anyone know what this is?

A new icon has started popping up in the status bar on my SGS 6 (UK) since the recent update:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It only appears when I open Chrome, Flipboard or Facebook and is persistant for some time after the apps are closed (even if I kill the processes).
Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Yeap, WiFi calling.
I should have clarified that it happens when I am not on wifi as well. I also can't figure why it would be active in an app like Flipboard that is not in anyway a communication app.
Gonna clear and hard reset my device in case as this seems to me a little suspicious.
There is an option to turn it on or off in the notification center.
I dont have that option on my notification but it is the right icon so at least I know what it is.
Thanks for the advice guys 😀

Black app preview list? Help needed!

Hi. I've been noticing that sometimes my brand new 2 day old Pixel phone shows black app previews on the recent apps list as shown in the photo.
Odd that it only happens intermittently then fixes itself.
Also when I take screenshots, it just takes the screenshot as a blank image, despite what app I take a screenshot in.
Had to take the image using the tablet camera.
Anyone else have the same thing happen? And what causes it? Or how can I stop it?
Somewhat annoying and inconsistent. RAM cleaning apps don't appear to fix it either. Just fixes itself automatically.
Other than that there isn't any issues with the device and it doesn't appear to be hardware related.

Hi
I get the same in Recents, some apps show black, no idea why, but doesn't cause any problems, app still loads when selected.
As for the Screenshot, sorry I have no idea.

UPDATE:
Resolved. Did not write it down, but found a running service I didnt recognize and disabled it - issue is gone.
Recently, this caller id/incoming call screen began popping up. If you hit answer, it will open to Samsung stock screen and let you swipe to answer. If you reject call, it just ends. I am up to date per Sprint (Android 7.0, Samsung 8.1, 4.4.16-11982677 kernel)
I cannot find any apps or running processes that could be causing it. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
TIA
Need an update on how to fix this.
Same problem. Driving me nuts.
Can anyone identify which service has taken over my phone answering screen?
Flashlight app. Idk how or why but when I uninstalled flashlight app this stopped. It took over my lock screen too
YES!!!
Removed flashlight app - problem solved. ?

[Bug-OP8T] Quick settings tile, time, and Icons on the right shifts upwards

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to ask if anybody else experienced this. It only happens when there's no notification. The tile for the quick settings, time, and icons on the right shifts upwards clipping with the camera cutouts lower half. It's kinda irritating to see and I was wondering if I'm the only one experiencing this.
Using a OnePlus 8T - KB2000
Oxygen OS 11.0.6.9KB05BA
edit
**screenshots doesnt capture the issue thats why I had to take a picture of it
**already tried clearing cache
**already tried changing fonts and display scale

Did you try resetting the tiles?
I just did but sadly it didn't help.
I think the culprit might be the bubbles from messenger. I stopped using it and it hasn't done it again in a while.

Watch4 request notification permission despite having permission already

I've got my Watch4 a while ago, after some struggles I managed to set it up just fine. Now, every day or so, I get a notification saying the watch needs permission to notifications to show them on the watch. However, I already have given it this permission. It can be solved by turned off and on the permission, but I'd rather not do this every day..
Anyone know what could be causing this?

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is a common problem with MIUI.
This happens with my Mi Band 5 as well.
The solution to this is to Lock the app in memory. To do so, bring up recents menu, press and hold your fitness app and click the small lock. This will prevent it from being cleared and also prevent the security app from clearing it during boosting.
Also make sure you never clear the app from recents manually.
All the best.
