Status bar not autohiding in fullscreen mode Anymore in miui 12 - MIUI Central

Just updated to miui 12.0.4 on my Redmi k20 pro and now the fullscreen immersive has been disabled automatically. Facing this issue in yt, games, video player and browser. Whats worse is the option in the setting has also been removed. Can anybody help me find how to autohide status bar and nav buttons in latest miui?

well, on a redmi note 8 pro, i have the same issue.
so far, the only thing that worked for me is selecting the app in Games Turbo app.
this worked for the top bar, but not for the bottom one on every app.
i now have so many apps not working in full screen...

Try disabling all accessibility settings.

Hello, another good solution:
Hide Navigation Bar — Rootless playstore
play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fb.fluid&hl=en_US
I use it and it works without any problems.

So there won't be any problem if I want to bring back the navbar?
Actually, I liked the navigation bar because of Accessibility Menu button.
However, Back button is too far.
When I want to press the Back button in the navigation bar, my thumb cannot reached it.
So, I decided to use Fluid Navigation Gestures, with only Right edge action enabled.

Do you experiencing any bugs with Fluid? When I enabled Fluid and hide the nav bar, my notifications seems buggy. For example my incoming whatsapp notification still there even I already read it

I did not hide the navigation bar, so I can't answer your question. Sorry. :fingers-crossed:

This happens to me too. Also when I open chrome or YouTube I get a glitchy black screen for a fraction of a second.
worked perfectly on Mi A2 Lite Pie, thanks man.
Why would you want to install those two apps mentioned? Vivid NG app alone has the option to hide nav bar completely just with ADB permissions.

Yep, I've been experiencing the same glitch for a couple of months. You can fix this by ticking the "disable hw overlays" in developer options, but this weakens your battery life a little bit. So far I haven't found any other solutions to this but it is pissing me off. I don't like vivid ng or any other gestures app, fluid ng is by far my favourite.

EMUI and Nova Launcher: settings won't open (sometimes)

Hi there,
unfortunately I'm experiencing the exact problem with my new P30 that I already had with my P10. Occasionally Android Settings wouldn't open when clicking it on the home screen. It appears for a split second then disappears again. It works from the quick navigation bar. As soon as I start it via the quick navigation bar I can click on the actual icon again... until the next time...
Others had the same problem ages ago: https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/help/settings-apps-t3496165
I'm using the latest EMUI 9 with Nova Launcher (but again, it already happened on EMUI8/P10). This is annoying. Any help?
Thanks.

Immersive Mode

Is there a way to effectively hide the navigation bar on the Pixel 3a so that you are in immersive mode? I've tried the Tiles app but I found that it causes issues with the keyboard and I also noticed that it causes active edge to not work consistently.

If you're rooted you could use this. Or if you root and have Magisk, you can install GravityBox and that has it too.

or give Navigation Gestures a try from the playstore. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xda.nobar

Trying the navigations gestures app from the play store and so far it seems like it's working. I haven't run into any compatibility issues or bugs yet.
I wanted to try avoiding rooting right now.
Thank you for your help!

Update:
not working well across all applications. Microsoft OneNote is an example. when you go into a particular note to add text the keyboard opens and then shuts down right away. This makes it not possible to add to an existing note within the app. I have to turn off the hide navigation bar option temporarily in order to use OneNote. Tried various behavior options within the menu and it didn't help.

How Do You Disable the Status Bar on Poco F2 Pro for Immersive Mode

Always loved immersive mode on my Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 (on Pie, and using an app and tweaking adb)
Wondering if that's possible on the Poco F2 Pro because I've read it doesn't work on MIUI, and worried might break something.
Would it be the same method, or a different one for Android 10?
Thanks.
Well the status bar is hidden when the app you're running is in fullscreen mode (Settings>App>You App>turn on fullscreen mode to force it)...
But I don't think you can disable it on non-fullscreen apps or on the home screen without root..

Thanks. I tried your suggestion but the status bar icons are still there.
My ZenFone isn't rooted actually. Am. Just using an immersive mode app on the Play Store which asks you to plug in your phone to the PC and access adb via CMD, and type in some strings of command.
I suppose I could do it on this Poco as well, but was just wondering if there's any advice against doing that. It's my first time to use Xiaomi.
EDIT
Tried the app last night but only getting bounced on ADB.
