Poco F2 + Tasker -> AOD - Xiaomi Poco F2 Pro (Redmi K30 Pro) Questions & Ans

Hello,
did anybody here use Tasker with the Poco? Have you a running profile to switch on AOD only by incoming messages (AOD_ON) and AOD turning off (AOD_OFF) when the message is read/checked?
ADB seems to work, testing the tasks will show a green light for okay, but the display stays off.
Kind regards

[Q] Disable all led notifications in airplane mode

Hello, I'm using an Atrix 4G device, and I'm loving it; especially the fingerprint lock and the fact that (however its age) it is still a well-performing device.
My question: is it possible to disable all led notifications when in airplane mode? I have found the setting > display > led notifications, so I'm able to turn this off myself, but I would like to disable all led notifications when in airplane mode. For example: when the phone is charged, it will give a green led notification.
I find this annoying, since I merely use 'airplane mode' when trying to sleep and the led wakes me up.
Thanks in advance!

No yellow indicator in always on mode?

I received my Geaar S3 Frontier yesterday, switching from an Android wear watch.
After playing around with the watch for several hours and testing many different watch faces I can't figur out how to display the yellow indicator for new notifications in ambient mode (AOD activated).
Do I really have to enter "active mode" to see if I have unread notifications?
Yes, you have.
In aod only static information, apart from the hour/date, can be shown. Battery cannot be showed also!

Same experience but reviving this topic just in case there is any new setting/workaround? Love to keep my phone with AOD on, Wake Up Gesture off (so that when i'm out dancing or just moving my hands around it doesn't turn on for no reason), but would love to just turn my wrist and see if there is a notification (ie. screen remains dim).
There's a difference between knowing that there is a notification and being able to read it's contents.
My watch settings:
AOD
Wake up gesture- off
Notification indicator- show on watch face
Sound and vibrate- on (wine cork sound is relatively unobtrusive)
My Gear Manager app settings:
Turn screen on- off (if this is on, notifications will automatically be readable on the screen)
Notification indicator- on
Auto show- off, I know there's a notification because it beeps but it doesn't activate screen so I can't read it.
Auto show- on, tapping on the screen will show message.
There's a lot of flexibility. A notification can be silent, trigger a sound, trigger a vibration, or trigger an indicator. The contents of the notification can be automatically displayed, displayed by a wrist gesture, displayed by a simple tap, or not displayed at all.

I don't get any app notifications on the lock screen of my 6X.

Just got it the other day, installed all the latest updates. Everything is working fine but do not see any notifications at all on the lock screen, the notification LED doesn't blink either. I have 'Do Not Disturb' enabled, not sure if it is the problem. The notifications in the settings are enabled. What am I doing wrong?
Do not disturb mode prevent notifications regarding calls and messages to prompt up except from contacts that you white listed. It'll silence any kinds of notifications too, so if you don't see notifications on lock screen (and relative led light) it's normal.
Please try disabling do not disturb mode and check if the issue persists.

Is the behavior of DnD on Honor devices different from DnD on Nexus devices? Because I've used DnD on both Samsung and Nexus devices, stock & custom and it would show ALL the notifications but without any kind of sound or vibrations. Only display badges/icons on the lock screen and pulsing LED. If DnD is disabled then yes the message tones ring and the phone vibrates. How can I make the same happen here?
Solved it. Seems like it was an issue with the theme, changed to another one from the Themes app and now it works as expected, meaning only notifications on the lock screen without sound or vibrations.
I'd never thought about that as cause of the issue. Good

Ambient display - just calls & messages

Hi,
I just got a pixel3a - on my old moto handsets, you could set what notifications would show on the ambient display - I liked to just have calls and text messages to quickly see if I had anything important coming though. Is this possible on Pixel? To clarify, the only notifications I want to see on ambient are calls and messages - thanks
I believe you will see whatever shows on your lock screen and the only option is either all notifications or none.

You can use Tasker to do this if you're willing to not have the ambient display on all the time. I've set mine up using Tasker so that the ambient display is off until I get a notification. Basically, what it does is turn on the ambient display when a notification is received and once you clear the notification it turns it back off. When you create the profile in Tasker you can choose the apps you want to be able to turn the display on so you don't have it turning on for notifications from apps you don't care about. I have mine set up so that only Messages, Facebook Messenger and Snapchat will turn on the always on display. If you're open to something like that, I can help you with setting up the profile and the tasks necessary.

Thanks for the response - Tasker sounds like the best bet, I've installed it along with Autotools. I've had a play around and get the idea, but would really appreciate any guidance, cheers !
Do you mind sharing your Tasker profile regarding this?
Thank you

Question How to set on screen notifications + wake up display

Hi,
I have been occuring a problem for a half year now or so. After a major update to new version of one UI (4.5) my on screen notifications are not working anymore. I can see only small red dot and need to swipe to see the noticifations.
I did follow bunch of instructions how to enable it back... paired and unpaired phone, got a new phone, try enable/disable all... Yet still same result: all I can get is only red dot (screen indicator) and then I need to wake up the display and swipe to read notifications.
My setting in galaxy wear app for notifications:
show notificitations even when using phone
notificitaion indicator ON
read notifications aloud OFF
show details ON
turn on display ON
allow for new apps ON
Is there any way to enable again something like "wake up display upon receiving new notification and show it on screen"? Or any idea why is it not working anymore? Could it be watch face problem?
thanks.
I just found out recently that after switch to ring mode from vibration mode it started displaying messages again. Please check and confirm if its the same or i tinkered something else....
