I am truly disappointed with this news. Until that list came out, all the sites and blogs in the sector were sure to update. Driven by this I decided to buy this smartphone. Virtually less time it had the same life as the Moto G7 Plus but at a higher price. After this negative experience I don't think I will buy more smartphones of this brand.

this is why this was worst decision to buy this device

I was about to throw this phone in the bin but it is possible to install lineage GSI
Did anyone apply GSI on Moto G8 plus?
[updated] I consider buying a Moto G8 plus, or a G8 power. A disadvantage of the plus is that it only has Android 9, has not even received 10, and probably will never get 11. Besides, I read that Motorola's in general has a bad reputation...

Google approves first CyanogenMod phone

Call it a Christmas miracle or just call it common business sense, but Google has gone ahead and approved the first CyanogenMod phone for production. While this has nothing to do with the physical production of the device, it’s a way that Google controls access to having Google Apps natively provided to the device as opposed to having to flash Gapps separately.

With the latest blessing from Google, the Oppo N1 (…or CyanogeN1, if you will) will start shipping out on Christmas Eve.
This is a big deal for the guys behind CyanogenMod and congratulations to them are in order for reaching this milestone! From creating one of the most popular custom ROMs on Android to being showcased as a default OS on a brand new device.

For more information and specs on the Oppo N1, check out our recent article and review on the device.
Pricing for the CyanogeN1 hasn’t been confirmed, but they’ve revealed that it will be available for order on December 24th. Current speculation is that the price will be a little bit more than the standard pricing of the N1 which is sitting around $599 without contract for the 16GB version.

Better to keep the same topic within one thread instead of splitting messages about the same topic off.
Too bad that Moto can't keep a word of what they told us before!!!
They are bunch of LIARS!!! Period!!!
Everyone here that has a G4 should question Moto about this!!!

Some more clues. It's safe to assume that some model in the list above is the variant with Snapdragon 855 and 5G. Being in the forefront of 5G devices is probably a good idea for the brand... personally I dont want 5G yet, if you buy a 5G phone you will be a beta tester until 2020

Seems one of the upcoming devices will be with Snapdragon 710 variant of Dual Display.
Just like Nex A the little brother of Nex S.

Very interesting! I read in another article that according to the FCC certification information, the device looks like it will also have a GPS receiver and NFC support. TabletMonkeys 2023 Fire HD 10 article
If it has a fingerprint reader, a GPS receiver, and NFC support, it should be a nice step up hardware-wise, even if it's still on WiFi 5 and thus not a flagship device as such.
I just wish I knew when it was going to release, as I have an active 20% off Fire tablets offer on my account just waiting for it to release, especially at a discount.

There are Russian websites that have obscure firmware for cloned devices. Use a translator and post in those forums to get help finding a firmware that will work or can be made to work on your device. Cloned devices don't really have true support here at XDA, most users here focus on flagship and upper tier mid ranged devices.
There may also be a way for you to install a Linux or Ubuntu OS on the device to replace the stock firmware.
You need to see about opening the device to verify what motherboard and CPU series it actually has because you can't always trust that the installed software is showing the correct information.
@manlgonzlz92 hello OP, I have removed your first picture as it contains your device IMEI.
You can read further: https://security.stackexchange.com/...k-of-leaking-imei-imsi-numbers-over-a-network
I am also looking for a firmware that can be used with this model, as the device is relatively ok build but the original firmware is full of bugs
