Pixel 3a running the latest Android 11 update.
The bluetooth connection of a Syosin selfie stick remote is very erratic. Sometimes it randomly bounces between connected and previously connected. Other times it connects and then abruptly disconnects. Other times (rarely) the connection seems to be stable. Can't discern any pattern.
I've tried forgetting and pairing again. I've tried clearing storage and data for the Bluetooth app.
Tested on an old Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 running LineageOS 16 (Android 9). None of the problems observed on the Pixel are occurring on the tablet. Connection is stable. Can turn Bluetooth off for several minutes and turn on again; reconnects automatically. Can put tablet to sleep for several minutes and turn on again; reconnects automatically. I can restart the tablet; reconnects automatically.
Tested on an iPhone SE running iOS 13.4.1. No issues observed. Connection stable.

Hi,
I have a laptop, TV and iPod touch connected to my router via Wi-Fi, and a desktop via LAN. It's always been completely stable, rock solid. 2 weeks ago I bought a Sony Xperia T to replace the iPod, and since then the router has been freezing up every 15-30 mins, cutting off every device connected to it and not responding to any attempts to log in to it. The lights on the router don't indicate any problem and if I leave it alone it will unfreeze itself within a couple of minutes.
If I turn off the Xperia's Wi-Fi, the network goes back to being completely stable again all day. Turn the Xperia's Wi-Fi on and the router will freeze within 5 minutes and then again every 15-30 mins.
Google search tells me this is actually a fairly common problem with android devices but nobody seems to have any solution. I've upgraded my router's firmware, tried assigning my phone a static IP address, told the router to use g mode only, tried a range of different Wi-Fi channels, none of this had helped.
The problem happened on ICS as well as the recent Jelly Bean update.
Does anyone have any idea what my phone might be doing to screw up my router so much?
Thanks.
hello all !
I recently flashed shoredroid rom 4.4.2 latest build to my one x from at&t.
having a problem with multiple devices in my bluetooth.
whenever I turn BT on, it wants to auto connect to the last active device.
normally this would be fine except I routinely go back and forth between 2 and 3 different music streaming devices.
when BT is turned on, it gets stuck in a "connecting" loop and will never give up. I tried getting a 3rd party app to force it to stop connecting but it only works sometimes...
any ideas to disable auto connect entirely or to set a time-out function on auto connecting?
This has been driving me crazy for a while now. I have a SM-T580 and it worked fine when it was on 6.0. When the update happened, whenever I did "something" (such as install an app or cast to a CCA), it would turn the WiFi off after several seconds. The wifi indicator would actually go grey and it wouldn't be able to turn back on for several more seconds. After turning it back on and having it connect, it worked fine, for several hours or a day. Very random.
No other android device on the network does this, using a AC68U router (also tried a N66U with no difference), and signal is excellent. It seems to be only this device and after the 7.0 update. Any ideas? Thanks.
LG G6 on Android 7.0 ( I suspect this issue is not specific to this phone.) This happened to me like a year ago. Bluetooth in my car kept disconnecting and it had to do with me turning on some sort of feature where the phone keeps scanning for nearby Wi-Fi networks to notify me about. Of course as you drive your car around it periodically picks up a strong enough (nearby) networks. But I think it was doing it even without notifying me on the screen. Anyway, the setting was sort of buried but I eventually found where to turn it off and the bluetooth disconnect stopped.
So I replaced my phone with a new G6 because I switched providers from a GSM to a CDMA provider. I restored my apps and everything was working but then something changed and it started happening again. So I backed up the apps, factory reset, and restored just my bare minimum apps. Worked fine again. I didn't really add any apps that would affect this type of thing and then today I went for a walk and listened to an Audible book for about 45 min. Returned back and disconnected the headphone. About an hour later reconnected them and started listening to music and it started happening again. I have Wi-Fi Notification and Show Wi-Fi popup disabled in Advanced Wi-Fi and when this was happening driving around I can confirm Wi-Fi was turned off (I have a Llama event that automatically turned Wi-Fi off when I connect to my care Bluetooth)
Any ideas what is causing this issue?
I believe I determined the problem. I have a Pebble 2 watch. It was disconnected and while playing music over bluetooth, I went to reconnect it and for the first time I saw some message about allowing the app to turn on bluetooth (even though it was already on.) I enabled it and immediately lost my speaker bluetooth connection. So my guess is my watch app was repeatedly trying to connect to the watch every couple of minutes or so and each time that is what would cause the other bluetooth connection to disconnect. Maybe if I go into the watch app permissions and disable bluetooth toggle permissions that will prevent it from doing it when the watch is disconnected.
Hi,
I have a problem with wifi connection on Honor 8 (FRD-L09C432B399, EMUI 5.0.1) - I have no problem to connect to wifi networks, but wifi is spontaneously shutted down regardless of whether I am connected or not on router/modem. The wifi switch is still on (blue), but all visible networks disappear, the phone disconnects from the connected network, and it takes a few seconds before the phone finds networks again and automatically connects to the known network. I made a factory reset, but without success, rather it seems to me that the situation has worsened and wifi fails nearly every 10 seconds.
Any suggestions how to fix this problem? Thx.

Are you sure, 'Keep wifi off, during sleep' isnt set to 'Always'? As you already have resetted to factory set it shouldnt be. Although please verify.
Yes, it is; also 'Wi-Fi+' is dissabled.
