Hello all.
I hope someone has the solution.
If I go cycling for a while and I come home, I would like to have a button via my gear s3 frontier that allows me to open the garage. I have a fibaro module in the garage that is connected to Homey. Have a URL that allows me to open the garage. Until here it all works.
I am looking for an app that can make a button, if I click twice on the main screen, the button will pop up, press the button, URL will be sent, and the garage will open.
I just can't find an app anywhere that can do that. Does anyone have an idea if there is an app that makes this possible?
Hope someone has the solution.
thanks in advance
You could combine to apps to achieve this. You will need the app Automate and wearable widgets, both available in Google play store. Create a flow in automate, which will do the URL task. For this create a widget in wearable widgets and assign a shortcut of your flow, so that you can click on your watch (widget) to start this flow to open your garage.

I would love to create a shortcut showing a listing of my email accounts and how many new emails I have in each one. The "Switch Accounts" screen is EXACTLY what I want to access, but when I try to create a shortcut to it using AnyCut or BetterCut, I can't find it anywhere.
My assumption is that if it shows up in the latest apps used by holding down the Home key, it can be accessed. If so, "Switch Accounts" shows up there.
Can anyone assist?
Thanks.

What you have to do is watch your log output as you bring up the account screen, and take note of the intent being called. Use the custom function of bettercut to create the shortcut.
Noob question... how do you monitor the logs?
With ddms.bat from the sdk, this is what I get when I bring up gmail app after leaving it in "select accounts":
03-26 16:09:12.248: INFO/ActivityManager(652): Starting activity: Intent { act=android.intent.action.MAIN cat=[android.intent.category.LAUNCHER] flg=0x10500000 cmp=com.google.android.gm/.ConversationListActivityGmail bnds=[244,580][356,707] }

Need to have adb setup on your computer (lots of threads on that if you haven't already). Plug your phone into computer and run this command
abd logcat
That will spit debug logs directly to your screen. What I often do is
adb logcat > output.txt
that will spit all output to output.txt. Just hit control c when you want to stop logging then open the file with a text editor.
Bump, anything come from this? I'm seeing the need for this.
Anycut to Gmail Switch Account Screen
Hi,
I would also like a home screen shortcut to the Switch Accounts screen. I'm not familiar enough with Anycut syntax to make something of the output posted on this thread. Can someone assist? Action? Data? Type?
I would also like a shortcut directly to my contact Favorites, also not available without proper AnyCut syntax. Any help with this would also be appreciated!
Are either of these easily possible in BetterCut?
Thanks!
I saw a couple of apps awhile ago where you could tag your location (the gps would look up where you are) on a map, and then keep a record of those places. So if you go to somewhere cool but you don't know the address, you could mark it on the map and you'd be able to navigate to it later. Does anyone know the name of this app? I can't seem to find it now.
I know that the combination of Compass and 3Banana notes will let you keep geo-tagged notes. Can't you save locations as Google Maps favorites in later versions of Android?
The quickest is to open Maps, and when it locates you tap the little My Location dot or arrow. Tap the bubble that pops up. On the next screen tap the star. Now it's been added to the Starred Items on your Google account.
You can also from the same screen press "Share" and send the link to Gmail, 3banana, Twitter, etc.

+1 wanted to post the same. Theres also a widget that displays your lat/long/addr with the ability to share it
you could also use the GPS Status app. you can mark locations, share them and let it show on the map. also, it's free on the market
Thanks for the GPS Status link.
And thanks for the tips on Google Maps, I didn't know you could do it straight from there! The only problem is I don't see a way to name your starred places, so you just have a list with a bunch of addresses and you might not remember what's what.
Hey guys,
I have a really hard time solving this issue, and would really appreciate if you can help:
I'm trying to define that my keyboard will open automatically when I open the contacts app. Right now, I have to first open the contacts app, and then to press on the search line in order to open the keyboard. I want to skip the step of pressing the search line, and make the keyboard open right when I open the contacts app.
I tried usuing Tasker and Automateit apps, but didn't find any solution.
Thanks in advance!!

Hello friends!
I am trying to find the fastest way to add tasks to my to-do list app (still TBD which one) via Watch4 and Google Assistant. I am open to using any program or programs, free or paid, does not matter. Todoist, Any.DO, Zapier, Evernote, etc. What I ideally want is:
1. Double press any button on my watch which will start Google Assistant already in listening mode to enter a task
2. Without having to say "Ok, Google... create a task...or take a note...". but right away something like:“Dinner with James Friday at 8 pm remind 30 minutes before tag work tag jamesbond”
3. Then the task management app should correctly recognize date, time, and tags and add the task to Inbox in an app on my phone.
Hope it's not too much to ask ) I would be very grateful for any suggestions!
Thank you!
