Please help...i am unable yo find any solution

Goto settings>Accounts scroll to button and see if the Automatically sync data is on. Then long press on outlook click on app info >Advanced> Battery optimization> Don't optimize. There is a chance you have some battery saver apps which is disabling auto sync check for it. Also the dater saver disable auto sync.

Dosen't work..

The Outlook app or exchange services in the phone? Try the app to see if that works.

[Q] Is it possible to disable/block syncing in android?

Running 2.2 atm, wondering if its possible to completely disable the sync of calendar and contacts to gmail? One would think unticking auto-sync, and each and every of calendar, contacts and gmail under account and sync settings (background data is enabled) would be enough. Sadly, if you decide to poke around in calendar settings, more specifically under calendars where you can change what should be visible and synced (apparently you can turn off the visibility there, or both sync and the visibility, but not sync alone), it will still go ahead and sync. I thought I had put a permanent end to it after adding the following to block list in droidwall:
Calendar storage
Calendar sync adapter, google services framework contacts sync adapter
Contacts, com.android.providers.userdictionary, Contacts storage, com.android.providers.applications
Dialer, dialer storage, SIM toolkit
along with a bunch of other apps which I didnt see a need to require full internet connection, but the ones listed above are the only ones that seemed relevant for preventing the sync. Unfortunately, today I noticed that it had went ahead and synced a couple of new entries to the google calendar again. I really just dont see any point whatsoever in doing it since I NEVER use the calendar on my PC, and if I lose my phone then so be it. I rather at the very least have the option of keeping my personal data off the internet if I would like to.
Anyone have any thoughts or sollutions about this please? Would be greatly appreciated.
bump, anyone please?
another bump, anyone please?
go to settings > accounts & sync> and uncheck Auto-sync or disable each account appart

I don't know about your ROM but on my CyanogenMod 7 there's a wiget called Power control... it allowes you to deactivat syncing directly
Thanks for your reply!

That doesnt seem to be definitive, I've disabled each and every of them as well as disabled auto-sync completely.

I'll be trying CM7 in the future for sure once a few more bugs have been ironed out, hopefully its not just a custom toggle for the standard sync settings.
In the mean time I dont suppose anyone else has any ideas?
The options in android do not seem to do anything.
As soon as you open "Calendar" -> "Your Calendar" a sync will start even if you have disabled syncing.
I already tried CM7. Is there a way to block or disable even this unwanted syncing?
Old thread, but there is a way.
From a terminal, run;
pm disable com.google.android.gsf
-- that will disable google services framework, and all syncing to google will cease.
Note that it will also kill market. Run it the same way, but with "enable" instead of "disable" to restore market, then disable again when finished.

There you Go...
The Chain is as Follows:
Android Assumes that you use automatic syncing, or you will turn it ON when prompted for
and then ..
Part 1
assuming Automatic Syncing
1. All Network Permission Kind Applications (in Android) Sync
2. Those applications which Give you options what to sync, only sync the selected Data
These are due to Services
Part 2
If you disable Automatic Syncing, nothing will be synced in Background, and now
Android assumes Manual Syncing
1. All applications will Sync Data as soon as you open them
-- This is due to Application Opening (Not Background Services)
2. If for Google Account, you have disabled all options, then only the application which you open will Sync
3. It is now not important what is selected in options
-- eg. if you have unchecked Gmail, but when you open Gmail, it will start sync service, and when you touch Refresh from options, It will Sync
Part 3
Finally... to sum up
1. For Applications to fetch you Data, Background Data has to be Enabled
2. For making it automatic, as soon as their is Connectivity, Auto Sync has to be Enabled
3. For Choosing what SHOULD NOT Sync Automatically (only), there are options to choose... you got me right
4. This is only for your account related apps, and other apps have to be disabled for auto sync/update/connect by exploring their settings
So as per your doubt, Disabling Auto Sync should Actually does not sync (Google)
If you open the Application, only then it Syncs
For Special Apps like Calendar which do not have options like Gmail to Refresh
clicking on the Sync settings jumps to Accounts and Settings, where as soon as you select the Tick box, syncing starts
You sync, and when done, uncheck it again
Hope it was useful...
EDIT:
For Apps like Market, there is no other Option but to disable Auto Update of all apps one by one
Nevertheless, Market will connect to Web Service and will notify you about Apps that have updates available

[Q] - Calender items do not sync to google

Hello,
I set up my Focus to sync with Google calender. When entering an item from a computer to google calender, it'll sync to my phone just fine. When entering an item from my phone, it will NOT sync to Google calender. It'll still show on my phone, but when logging online from a computer, it will not show anything.
Build - Nodo
Phone - Focus
I've tried the setting my google calender to accept all invitation, but nothing works. I also tried searching and came up with nothing. My Windows Live account is turned off also, and I make sure when entering items, it's going to my google calender. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
I am having no issues syncing my Google Calendar.
Make sure when you make a new appointment, that the Account box has your Google Account chosen.
Also, changes are not reflected immediately. Sometimes it can take up to an hour to sync your changes. Try forcing a sync through the options menu (tap and hold on the account you want to sync) and look to see if it updated.

THIS.
Seriously, it took me losing all of my Calendar data when I reset my phone one time, to figure out that I was missing that Account box...
Except it was on Android and I was leaving it on Device Only.
At least on WP7, the default box is your Live account so all your appointments should be on Live.
Regardless, the reason it isn't syncing is most likely due to the above.

Facebook Calendar Sync

Greetings,
I don't want my calendar in FaceBook to sync with my Android calendar. I have gone into the auto sync settings, selected FB for HTC, and unchecked sync calendar. However, this doesn't stop it from happening, and if I restart my phone, it will be checked again.
Does anyone know how I can stop this?
Thank you,
Dustin.

[Q] Gmail doesn't auto sync - Hellfire Sandwich ROM

I installed the hellfire sandwich ROM and everything works great except for the fact that I only get my gmail notifications if I manually update the app. I don't get any push notifications. I'm using gapps package. In the settings, the gmail sync is on, set to 30 days of sync. Email notifications is checked. In Accounts and Sync I have gmail set to sync. The problem is that it never actually does sync. Has anyone else had this happen?

If you press/hold/release on your gmail account under Accounts & sync, another menu comes up with many options of what to sync - Browser, calendar, contacts.... Gmail, photos....
Look at that menu if you have not, to see if Gmail is selected.

Please help, I can't get the phone to sync Google Contacts

Hi,
I've had this issue forever with most of my android phones & I can't find a solution.
On my phone > Settings > Accounts & Sync > Google > Contacts
When I tap on Contacts, it's just not doing anything. It only syncs when I full-wipe the phone.
How can I get the phone to sync contacts to Google account & vice versa without full-wipe the phone please?
Thanks
do you have the "auto sync" on on top of Accounts & Sync?

I usually turn-off auto sync feature to save battery.
However, when I try to sync the newly saved contacts, then I will turn it on, off, sync, but the phone just wont sync to the Google account.
I would recommend to keep that option on, to avoid that problem. It does not make too much difference in battery, you could change other settings and leave that on.

Even when I leave it on, the phone just won't sync.
@LeeDroid, can you be my savior please?
I solved this problem by deactivating power saver.
And make sure that the contact created is at google account. You have to choose when you create a new contact.
you are amazing...thank you
There is also the Google contacts app that will help solve issues if deactivating battery saver doesn't work.
