Is there any way to disable/remove the pop up when you enable or disable data from the notification/quick settings?
I have a rooted G7. Is there perhaps a method for root? Thanks in advance.

Hi, i frequently need to enable/disable this option, is there a way to make a shortcut for it? Of if you know of a widget that could do that.
Thanks

It is now yes, just search the Market for "data toggle".
hm, i don't think you got my point
all of these just toggle between 2g and 3g, that's not what i need
in wireless under mobile, there's an option to completely turn off any data traffic, i want to make a shortcut to that option
EDIT: ok, now it works! (data toggle)
i had data traffic disabled so nothing happened but when i enabled it, now the widget works (but curiously in wireless settings it still says that data traffic is enabled but i can't connect to anything so it must be disabled i guess)
Is there a way to remove the Wireless Display toggle/tile in the notification tray? Maybe using sqlite editor? If so, where would I find it?

Doesn't work. Tile still there. I've tried freezing in Titanium Backup as well.

Tried that too. Maybe because I'm on Jelly Bean? There's not even an option to disable it in Gravity Box.

Settings->Display->Wireless display. Turn it off. That removes it from the notification panel.

I meant the quick settings toggle. If Wireless Display is on, the notification panel has a notification, but I can't get rid of the quicksettings tile.

Toggling off wireless display got rid of the tile for me. Maybe it's a KitKat thing. Perhaps you should just update to 4.4?

Ah, indeed. There are some compatibility issues with T-Mobile and KitKat, so I'm going to stay on JB for a little while
Hello guys,
There's something in the GS6 that bugs me out : I'm unable to use the quick settings on my lockscreen. I mean, when I toggle WiFi, bluetooth or anything, it asks me to unlock my phone. I don't know if I'm just missing something, I'd just like to be able to toggle settings without having to enter a password / using a fingerprint, then locking the phone back, just to disable WiFi.
Thanks,
Kindly.

Unfortunately having a security option such as pin/fingerprint will stop you from making changes from the lockscreen directly without confirming the change by entering your pin or fingerprint. I'm not sure if there are any mods which would disable this as it is a security feature.

I wasn't aware of its existence ! I've looked into it and I got the same problem. But I think you're right, enabling these settings could be a security flaw.
Thanks anyway
(Sorry, I'm late.)

Update : Funny enough, with the last Nougat update, quick settings are entirely accessible on the lockscreen
I'm on version 9.5.8 and was wondering is there a way to disable the update now notification?

It's an app, so you can disable the system notifications from notification settings or just freeze the app.

I tried to disable the notification in settings but it says System Update these notifications can't be turned off, do you know the app name so I can freeze or remove it from system app/priv-app?

"System-Update"
Wow, this is exactly the question I wanted to ask.
Regarding method 1 (disabling the notifications), I can't find System-Update in Settings / Notifications / All apps.
That leaves method 2 (freezing). What tool do you suggest to do that?
I uninstalled Greenify because its hibernation was incompatible with Fingerprint unlocking (even with the 'slow method' enabled.)
EDIT: this seemed to work, is this a recommended way to do it?
- Open Titanium Backup Pro
- Tap the Backup/Restore tab
- At the top right, tap "Click to Edit Filters"
- Uncheck "User", check "System"
- Tap the green checkmark at the top right
- Scroll down to System Update 2.0.etc
- Tap Freeze

You need to enable the view of system apps within 1st method, otherwise only user apps are shown.
Freezing within TB works this way
Wow, fantastic. So I see that at the top right, there is a menu that lets you see system apps.
Awesome, thank you very much!!!
Well, I have found a new way. Using any root explorer, just go to system/app/OPBACKUP/ and rename OPBackup.apk to OPBackup.apk.bak and you are done...

Thank you! You helped me back with op 6. Any idea for op 8 pro, Android 11? They must have renamed the app, thank you!
You can use Titanium Backup to disable the updater...
Hi all! Just downloaded new goodlock module, I searched but found nothing. Is there a way to remove the persistent notifications? In the settings the phone won't let me to disable them...

It can't be disabled, at the moment at least. It is greyed out in settings. You could potentially use an app like Tasker to dismiss it. I've tried the back tap feature but found it unreliable. I've used Registrar to prune menu and that works. Even if it took some time for setting to take
