How would be the exact procedure?
(1. Flash ROM and Gapps.)
(2. Reboot system.)
1. and 2. can be ignored if we have a running system I guess?!
3. Reboot into recovery.
4. Flash custom kernel and supersu 2.52 together.
5. Reboot system.
Am I right?

I didn't flashed both files together but it should work ,I flashed one by one but their is a issue if u dirtyflash new update later it will again go in bootloop

[Simple Guide] Rooting Oppo F1 Plus X9009

Hello, this is simple guide to root Oppo F1 Plus. No need to unlock bootloader :fingers-crossed:
This method worked and tested :highfive:
Yes i know there's another guide in this forum but it only link to youtube video tutorial.
First, download this update.zip and then copy it to your device (internal or MicroSD is allright, up to you)
*You can download file update.zip via attachment below
1. Go to recovery mode. Turn off your F1 Plus, wait for a second and then turn it on again with Power + Volume Down
2. Select language (english of course ahh is up to you)
3. Choose Install from storage and select update.zip
4. Wait the process (below 1 minute) and when it done just reboot system
5. Finishing updating and then check in your app drawer SuperSu should appear
6. Update SuperSU binary if needed
7. Done

There are instructions in a guide in this very section of this forum.

Works like a charm. Having recently purchased the phone I didn't want to root it. But after I realized that Oppo released the May firmware (around 1.3 GB) on their website. Everything works as it should. I'm hoping for an official forum with more stuff.

What is FlashFire? I'm new to this, I had a Samsung S3 earlier so CWM was the king. Also, I get notifications for software updates but it just won't download. Even after unrooting and factory reset.

Flashfire is a tool that can flash zip / backup ur phone without unlocking bootloader or install custom recovery.. So u can install xposed.zip.. But there is no one try it for x9009 oppo f1 plus.. Make sure u check ur hardware info first so u download the right thing for ur phone if arm64 u must download for arm64.. Do it on ur own risk..

No brick, no bugs but xposed app do not detect it

There was a link for TWRP in the YouTube video. Anyone tried? If you want to try it's in Chinese but TWRP has a translate option.
I am now able to get OTA after 5th factory reset.

There is chance that OEM unlock option will be missing so you won't be able to root. But once we will get .zip to flash from TWRP, you won't have to worry about locking your bootloader

Like it's said, you CAN try, but there is chance that you will bootloop or even brick your phone! On the other hand, it may work. Some people reported flashing FN on F working fine

That probably would work. You can use camera2 probe from play store to be sure you have enabled level 3 support
I believe there is also a line you could add to build prop, but you'll need to find that in the forum.

It doesn't work for me. I have RR. I already had the rom running and magisk installed, so I booted into recovery and flashed this .zip normaly. Then boot into system. Magisk and all is working fine, but it looks like this zip didn't do anything. RR has already camera2API enabled but I installed the magisk module, just in case. Then I installed the gcam apk (I tried with 5 different apk, one of them, the one quoted previously), and they all behave identically. They doesn't open.
Am I missing something?
EDIT: In the meanwhile, does anyone know how to "uninstall" the .zip flashed in the TWPR (if that's seen possible)?

Done. I've had to install microG (the app from the Fdroid repo is enough) and now I can install and use any camera. Just need to give storage permission before opening it or some of the new gcam will give a storage error.

How to remove from TWRP? My phone is bricked now (stock ROM) and i just do not have vendor image to restore :crying:

Never found a proper working atmos. However if you have magisk working on your phone, you can flash Dolby Digital Plus magisk module.

There used to be a Dolby Atmos zip for older Android versions. But now i see and head about this new Dolby digital.. so what's the difference?

Nothing much just UI differences I think

No sound mods working for now, until official twrp is available and magisk is flashed through that twrp sound mods can't work I suppose. Tried to install dts hpx and ainur mods didn't work and went into infinite boot time. Just need to wait

Unofficial twrp is preloaded with the latest version of MIUI.eu. use magisk manager to patch boot.img & just flash straight away using Twrp. As you can SEE DTSX is working perfectly alongside magisk & ainur narsil

No don't use twrp for it. Its for magisk dude. What I did was I flashed DTSX using magisk & reboot straight away to recovery. After that go to file manager (in TWRP) to try delete service.sh from Data -> ADB -> magisk_update -> DTSX_Ultra. I did that & it works for me.
