First of all, sorry if this isn't the right place. It would not allow me to post in question/answers.
I am experiencing a bug (Note 20 Ultra N9860, HK version but being used in the States) where I end a call and the last screen from the phone app is permanently overlaid over the launcher screen. This is not the app itself... It's not actually there and I can still launch icons that are beneath the overlay as if it wasn't there. It does this with several launchers. Nova is preferred but it does not go away when I switch back to the Samsung launcher. It's also visible when I go into the app switcher... Not sure if this is a coincidence but the overlay is the exact same size as the app previews in the app switcher.
I've attached some photos... Including one with the pop up view to show the difference as several people I've told about this bug think it's that and I'm dumb lol. There's also one of it showing using the app switcher.
Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution? The only thing I can do it restart the phone everytime I hang the phone up.

Oh and BTW I am on stock firmware.
did you experiment with call display when using other apps under settings? In case it makes a difference.
was the issue always there, since you got the phone?
try with Google phone dialer?

My wife's phone was displaying these home screen images when she woke it up today.
Immediately prior to seeing these, she did the following: Opened Dolphin, signed into a Yahoo Groups account to download a work PDF, browsed Drudgereport or theDailyMail, set her phone down.
A few minutes later, she turned the screen on, slid the unlock bar and then boom, these images. Just like a home screen, she could swipe left and right and see the additional screens. They were not interactive in any way, though. I took pics of the screens and then hit the "home" button and everything seemed normal--then she pulled her battery and is leaving it off until we figure this out.
She has no suspect apps, nothing recently installed, no blackmarket app downloaders...
WTF is going on?

I think that's a launcher
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using xda premium
I suspected a launcher, but she has nothing new/changed on settings. I'll power her phone up and go through all her apps.
Any idea what launcher it could be? I'm not familiar with any that feature this kind of default text or lack of actual style...and I've been flashing Roms and rooting since the G1.
I'm using the Acer A210 if that makes any difference.
I've wiped and installed different ROMs and the bouncing app bug persists, I've searched EVERYWHERE for a solution but can't seem to find one.
No matter what app I use a bar will come up between the status bar and actual app the same thickness as the status bar. On the old ROM I used it used to only rarely happen and only happen often in the Google Voice app but now with the new ROM I have installed (was forced to update ROM as I woke up and suddenly the tablet wouldn't go passed the Acer boot screen) it's on EVERY app I use and drives me crazy. I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue as it's only persistent in apps, never on the homescreen, lockscreen, nor does the status bar move, thus the screen itself isn't projecting the pixels to move, it's something within the coding itself I assume.
My other issue I'm having is my lockscreen is completely locked to landscape mode and I'd like for it to be able to be locked to portrait or at least have the ability to auto-rotate, I'm sure that's the easier to solve problem of the two but they're both driving me nuts.
If I could get some codes for the files I need to edit and a simple how-to that'd be amazing.
Any workarounds are welcome and any help is appreciated, thanks!

My original Pixel had the mic issue and Google replaced it. This one is from Google where the last one was a Verizon phone from Best Buy. Anyway, I set everything up and did all the updates to 7.1.1 with the March 5th Security update. I updated all apps (including the pixel launcher) but for some reason I can't get my date/weather widget to show. I checked settings, google now cards, etc. I did a search on google and didn't see anything like this, I was able to get the google weather app but no widget to be found anywhere...
Here is the screenshot. What happened to my original pixel style homescreen and why do I have a long google search bar and no weather/date widget?

I faced the same issue. Just go to Settings, Apps and clear the data for Pixel launcher and you will see the familiar screen again
People over at Android Police are reporting that they are starting to see this on their Pixel

Click to collapse
That worked. Thank you.
Hello,
So, I have 2 SAMSUNG S8+' and, I use pretty much both, as in, all the time.
I work in SAMSUNG Notes all the time, be it for casual reasons or otherwise.
However, although I did notice this difference before, I didn't really look into it to figure out what's going on...
So, the problem is, when I go into the "more font color options" and or "more font background color options":

I happen to be displayed a different menu on both phones:
Above screenshot from the phone I'm currently posting this thread from, and:
This one displayed on my 2nd Phone.
NOTE: Both phones have the latest app, software and system version and or update, and are also setup the very same way in-app settings and options as well as app settings and permissions. Also also, I re-installed the apps, cleared cache(s) and verified if there is anything different on one phone than the other (which obviously shouldn't be (and wasn't) since both are setup to be identical), as well as restarted a few times in the process, cleared memory (isn't the issue) and tried finding answers on my own.
App Version:
So, my question is:
How and why, are they displayed differently and how could I change either of them to display the other?
Apologies if this has been asked/solved before, but whenever I install Gboard on my watch 4, after a day or two this notification comes up and I can't get rid of it or find what is causing it.
Have tried reinstalling (both phone and watch), done a reset of the watch, joined and unjoined the beta program to no avail. Any ideas how to get rid (other than just deleting the app obviously)?

Had the same issue.
Make sure gboard is set up as the keyboard you want to use in settings and continue.
I made sure that watch is connected via Bluetooth and enabled wifi on there as well.
Then I rebooted my watch and when it booted up i got this notification again. Now i opened up reminder or any other app which opens the keyboard.
Gboard will open and a little textbox will show up stating it will download a language.
I let it sit there until screen got dark and waited around 5 minutes. After that i checked my watch seeing the gboard notification had gone.
