How to stop Facebook Messenger from showing Calls notification ? - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I have a galaxy s7edge running Android 8, and i simply want Facebook Messenger to NEVER notify me, what i tried in settings:
Notifications: All blocked
Permissions: None
Apps that can appear on top: Off
Yet i still receive calls notifications, and its not even a silence [decline-answer] type of notification, its this full screen notification with the super annoying ringtone, that happens even when the phone is on Silence or Do Not Disturb mode is no, it also happens from people that i muted (not ignored, its different), any help please ?
PS:
please stay on topic, i appreciate the good will but answers like "why dont you ask your friends to stop calling you" or "just delete Messenger" are not welcome, ideally i would love to have a solution that simply silence an app for good and it only become active when i open it.
Thanks!

How to enable "repeat" in sounds and notifications

I was wondering if there are any tweaks or any way to just have the "repeat" tab available for all the notifications?
I really need this for my missed calls and missed sms messages.
I have a t-mobile mda vario and i was wondering if any one could help me?
And is there any way to further increase the overall volume on the phone and to import different kinds of vibration types? I just wanted to know because i want to further enhance my phone capabilites.
Please search for "How to Enable Repeat Play Audio Sound Notifications in Windows Mobile"
You will find the solution!
Teknasia, why don't you link to your answer to this question? I did your suggested search, and the first 6 links are all copies of this post.
The answer from teknasia is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3319983#post3319983
The solutions posted don't really work
If we are honest we should let folks know that the 'repeat' registry hack does not really work the way a normal user would expect. For example the one commonly posted for SMS messages keeps alarming until the 10 minute mark, even if the message is already read.
So while it is true that you can enable repeat notifications for events such as text messages, the reality is it does not work perfectly.
If you want something that works, meaning once I read the message the notifications should stop, then there are products out there such as phoneAlarm that do the trick, and more, quite nicely.
PhoneAlarm in my opinion is the best solution not only for repeat sounds for SMS, Missed Calls, E-mails but also reminders from the Calendar and Tasks

Whatsapp Call notifications

Not sure this has been asked before, but I was unable to find anything, so if this has been answered, please direct me to the right thread.
I receive message notifications from Whatsapp on my Gear 2, but nothing when I get a Whatsapp call, only a 'missed call' notification afterwards if I do not answer. I could not find any way to enable this. In fact the same thing happens with Skype, I receive message notifications but no call notifications.
I assume there is nothing that can be done, any ideas?
The Gear 2 Neo doesn't catch the calls directly, neither from What'sApp nor from Skype. The Gear Manager can only catch the after-call notifications when What'sApp and Skype generate them on the phone's Notification bar.
Until these apps support Wearable's from within the apps or at least generate a notification event when calls happen, you will have to live with that .

Do not disturb issue?

Hmm so I set up do not disturb to only allow my favourite contacts to come through. However some contacts not on my favourite list are still showing me when the calls come through. How to set up do not disturb so that I do not see the calls which are not on my favourite list please?
Can anyone help me please. I have gone into settings and do not disturb and block all visual disturbances but when someone calls the phone app still shows on the screen. On mashmellow when I set do not disturb and anyone called me i could only see the notification on the notification bar so it didn't actually disturb me. On this phone it's not actually working can anyone advise please? Thanks.

How to customize whatsapp [conversation tone] ? #needhelp

Hello, everyone! Newbie here. So a lot of searcing on internet and file explorations,I can't find any way to change "conversation tone" in WhatsApp. I really like to iMessage incoming and outgoing conversation tones but I kinda not fan of use iPhone as my main phone. So I have been searching to change WhatsApp's original conversation tone to iMessage conversation tone. My Android phone is rooted and I guess I can switch/change this tone sounds in root explorer apps or something. I need your help to do this, please any information is golden for me. So,please help me !!!:crying::highfive:
I need this too. Did you find anything?
Method to change whatsaap tone
Launch WhatsApp from your Home screen.
Tap on the Settings tab. ...
Tap on the Notifications button.
Tap on the Sound button under the WhatsApp calling heading. ...
Tap on the sound you want to set as the ringtone.
Tap the Save button
I need this too. Changing the notification tone isn't what we want.
The thing is, when you chatting with someone, incoming messages doesn't trigger if you're in the chat, instead it sounds something when the message shows up.
It's kinda hard to explain, but at least, it's not notification tones, that's easy to customize.
I know what you mean guys. I have been looking for that answer for years. all we need is the path to the right folder so we can do it.
Anyone? Please, please, please.

S10e weird notification with Whatsapp call

So I've been having this problem for a while now. Basically, when someone calls me on Whatsapp, I can hear ringtone but turning locksreen shows nothing. Same thing when I unlock the phone, say for example I am on the home screen, I can hear ringtone, but no pops up notification to tell that a Whatsapp call is taking place.
So, this means: 1) if I'm at the lockscreen and get Whatsapp call, I would have no way to answer or end call. 2) if I unlock and use the phone and the Whatsapp calls come, I also dont know if it is Whatsapp and also cannot swipe down from notification and accept/reject call.
So, I would need to physically open Whatsapp and then it would show a call is coming through and so i can accept/reject call.
Reinstalling whatsapp fixed this problem. However, I believe it is only temporary. My settings: AOD off, Edge Lightning off and does not send notification for Whatsapp.
Does anyone else experience similar problem? Strangely, Whatsapp call is the only thing that causes problem.
