I need Google store too. P40 Lite E
Look guys I need to root my phone to install Aurora store as a system app.. Cause I dont want to manually install apps.. Lol>
Aurora Store is a awesome alternative for Google play store.
If you need Youtube and Youtube Music use the Vanced version.

Try Googlifier it really works, downgrade your Nova 7i to previous version using usb otg dload method and install the Googlifier and follow the instructions.
I am using Emui 10.0.1.136 all google services will work except the maps, you have to use some old version of maps, in my case 10.49.3 worked .
Secondly sigma key is providing the bootloader unlocking but i am not sure how it works but i have checked on their website for the supported huawei mobiles and it states the Model. JNY-LX1 .
Try v.10.56.1, install from Aurora.
I installed that version on my Mate40 pro and works great.
Before that I had 10.49.3 as the last one who works fine ... I was the one who recommended this version as the latest functional.

hello this method worked for me but I have the JNY-LX2, eloygomeztv on YouTube, look for it in yt. and everything is working, I did not need the otg cable I did it from the same cell and it worked. good luck

No no, it ia specifically for JNY-LX1 go there site sigmakey select the Manufacturer and scroll down to select the device, there you can see the available service which clearly states the unlocking of bootloader, once unlocked rooting is not a problem.

Just want to check if anyone had my below issue when buying phone from china to save few quits
1) Phone comes with all preload chinese apps (which most of the can be ignore once google play has been installed)
2) I've cannot register to Huawei ID from the phone (even after had login details when registered through web)
error message
"Service not supported for your Location. We apologise for the inconvenience."
I am trying to register phone from UK.
troubleshots done (from search engine)
1) Installed tunnelbear and tried registering no luck.
2)created new account from huaweis chinese website still no luck.
Any help much appericated, also can i install UK rom on this phone?

If that's the case I suppose it won't work. I picked up this phone (from China) and got rid of almost all of the apps that were installed by default. I can't see a reason I would want a Huawei ID....

Created Account thorough PC -> went to setting from from the phone ->
1st register HiCloud (Dont give details on Huwaei ID)
It worked for me and i am now In and had 5Gb free cloud space to store my contacts and some useful files.

The best way would be waiting for HUAWEI to release a stock Englist ROM and flash that...
All the chinese variants comes with preloaded chinese apps, I think you should be able to uninstall them easily from Settings > Apps. I never really tried a chinese ROM, so don't know if they are uninstallable, but most of us gets bloats in our /cust partition, from which we can uninstall them.

Some of the default apps can be uninstalled, but I am hoping that at some point there is an English version of the rom for FRD-AL10 released.

Yes, maybe, if some dev makes it.
I get the same Huawei ID location error on Europe Honor 7. I don't think its anything to do with the rom being Chinese.

There is a EU rom here for FRD-L09.
Try it on your own risk.
I know that it was possible to flash Chinese Mate 8 with EU rom, maby possible with Honor 8 to?

Thanks for this. I downloaded it, but I will wait to hear if someone else has flashed it on a FRD-AL10 first! Right now the phone is too new and I don't want to risk bricking it.
EU ROMs works on EU variants only, don't try it on Chinese variant, unless you debrand it.

Hello all,
I am looking for a custom ROM for my Android STB.
I have a Huawei STB from my provider back when I lived in Qatar (Ooredoo). The STB model is EC6108v9. It has a custom ROM from the provider as such that I can't do anything without connecting it to my Ooredoo home gateway in Qatar.
I have tried Googling everywhere it seems for a custom ROM to install on my STB but I can't seem to find one that is compatible with my STB. I believe it doesn't have a chip from Intel/Rockchip/Amlogic as a Google search says it has a Hisilicon chip.
I can go into recovery mode on the STB.
Any ideas?
P.S. This is my first time posting on xdadev so forgive me if I've broken any unwritten rules! (and mentioning what rule I've broken will help )

Hi, seems the hisillicon is not very well known worldwide, a little look on google dosnt provide much, I'm not sure if you can flash roms designed for your Hi3978 CPU (what I assume your device has) for example I can flash another manufacturers (say nexbox s905x rom on my amlogic s905x MXQ box) how well it works is trial and error, wifi, remote ect might not work right though, hopefully this points you in the right direction

If I recall correctly, HiSilicon is Huawei's brand of chips as most Huawei products if I'm not wrong use a HiSilicon chip. I'll see if installing an amlogic ROM works though. I'll keep the thread updated.

Yhea its Huawei's chip Devison, I doubt it would work but nothing was discovered by not experimenting, if you have nothing to loose with a locked box

don't try to flash another SoC rom onto that device, there's zero chance of it working and you could end up worse off than you are now.
How did you access bootloader menu ?

we are depending on you to find a solution for that device , also i have another idea :
most of the technicians at OOREDOO are Indian , and they have the unlocked firmware ( because this device came at first not locked then they flash it with them custom locked software )
So, as i understood from your profile that you are Indian , if you can talk to one of them friendly to give us the firmware ( specially this device is not the current device from ooredoo , so unlocking it will not hurt them
i hope that they will understand and helping us

no you can not downgrade. that may be the initial version on P40 and no google out of the box. only way to get it is install googleThere are videos on youtube on how to do that.

I installed dualspace, but it's not every apps can open. That's why I want to downgrade and install google service

You can not install firmware from other variants. It will fail.
This can only be done via rebranding which is not possible anymore due to no bootloader codes. Also, this device was launched without Google so no official ways but only other tweaks.
Hi folks, I recently received and activated the gt neo 2 in Canada. Currently it is showing the A.03 version and no further updates.
I believe there is a January update (still android 11 but at least updated security). Is there a way I can force that or is there some sort of push schedule?

I cleared all running apps , rebooted , started nord vpn, connected to italy, went to check for update and downloaded it , ran it and all went a-ok

not sure what you mean by "used vpn for a day" , clear apps and reboot (not likely necessary but thats what i did) , connect to VPN in one of the listed countries, then go manually check for an update (Settings>Software Update)

just nothing happens, I used nord vpn, tunnelbear, orbot vpn, no updates, cleared app data auto update, restarted about 3 times, formatted this week and nothing

I have gt neo 2 global rom RMX3370_11_a.03 too. Here's what i did.
-Use free proton vpn(you can download it on playstore).
-Create free account ,activate the vpn and connect to netherlands server.
-Go to check the updates on phone and if it works ,the march 2022 update will appear(RMX3370_11_a.09)
-Press download. If the download is slow. pause the download, disable the vpn and continue the download back using normal connection.
-If nothing is wrong, you should now be on march update 2022(RMX3370_11_a.09)

It did actually work, thank you. after restart and vpn it let me install 2022(RMX3370_11_a.09).
Is there any way without signing for beta testing (which I suppose is closed) to get rui 3.0 update in a similar fashion?

Nevermind, tried to install SecureVPN with the only server available in France and it found rui 3.0 update, thank you guys
