I have a OnePlus 8 (IN2011), I installed PE 11 ROM yesterday and switched back to stock ROM using MSM tool and after that I got WideVine L3 instead of WideVine L1. I have been using MSM tool for a month now and this thing only happened today only. Everytime I switched to stock ROM I got L1 with MSM tool and now it really ****ed up.

I want use Netflix and drm info show me .....widevine L3 .
I have update rom 12.1.3.0 with original OTA 12.1.4.0 .
Have this update broke widevine?
In Security fingerprint ...i have not certificate widevine.

P.s., i have download also 12.1.4.0 recovery (3.0gb) and reflash It,but widevine Always L3
With android 10 and MIUI 12 widevine was L1

It Is wrong that official build Is :RKQ1.200826.002 test-keys.......and no release Key? This update android 11 with test Key has broken drm??

Factory data reset did not help, always widevine L3( from Recovery wipe data)
I've updated my phone to OOS 11.0.1.1 - Cause of worse performence and battery live i reverted back to 10.3.8 using the MSM tool.
But on 10 Widevine L1 without root and unlocked bootloader l1 is gone. It comes back when i upgrade to 11?!
Now i do have a backup of my persistent part back from 10 when 11 was not released and i had l1 on 10. My idea is to bring my phone back the exact same setup and flash the persistent backup img... Is this a good idea or is there another reason why l1 is lost on 10 ??
After new year or 11.0.5.1 update, widevine certificate went from L1 to L3. I never unlocked, rooted or modded my phone. Model is Oneplus 7 Pro GM1910 256gb. What is your widevine level?

Try flashing latest OOS 11 image from MSM tool. Internet says it fixes the L3 issue.
Note:
1) Flashing ROM from MSM tool will wipe data so backup first.
2) The image necessarily needs to be Oxygen OS 11. Version 10 won't fix anything.

Even on the newest stable OOS12 build (C40) the touchscreen still doesn't work as well as the sim card.
While the Indian 9pro msm method was able to unbrick my phone, it seems to have broken the firmware in a weird way. I flashed the global stock OOS11 rom and thought I returned my phone back to it's out of the box state. One thing I noticed was the country code when logging into the community app was locked in for India. Then of course when I updated to android 12 (C39, then C40), I cannot use the touchscreen and the sim won't work. Is there any way to fix this? I can still use my phone via USB OTG.
How did you flash global stock oos11 rom? Did you use fastboot or the global msm tool? Also what version of the oneplus 9 do you have?

I have the global NA OnePlus 9. In my post above I used fastboot to flash global oos11 using this tutorial but keep in mind you can't update to android 12 with this method and you won't have a "pure" oos11 rom.
I've since come across a better method that fixed all my issues, getting me to the truly pure out of the box global oos11 rom (which now updates to oos12 flawlessly). See here.
Note the param part, I am pretty sure the aa file he provided is only for the north American global op9.
I have a stock GM1917, running OSS 11.0.9.1.GM21AA. I've never unlocked bootloader, ironically because I didn't want to lose L1. I just download DRM Info and it reports Widevine L3.
What's up with that, and is there anything I can do about it? I'm thinking about rooting now that I can see that you can retain L1.

MSM flashing didn't help. Tried multiple times/versions, including before ever unlocking the bootloader for the first time. I think some of us just have a bad device that can't be fixed by MSM.
I have the same problem on my 7 pro (GM1911), Did anyone found any solution to this issue ?
