Any chance you could post the boot image extracted from this so that people that want root can patch it with magisk?

You can extract the payload.bin file with payload dumper to get the boot.img file. I can do it when I get a chance if the dev is too busy to do so. I'm kinda busy right now, but can do it later.

You need to use the DU custom recovery which I assume you already have if you are using their rom. Boot to recovery and factory reset, then sideload rom.
Then boot your phone. If you want to root your phone, I supplied the boot.img file from the payload.bin file that I extracted for the dev. You can use that to patch file with magisk beta then flash that patched file in fastboot by the following, fastboot flash boot magisk_patched.img

That's because since Android 11, there are many more obstacles in the way in building a rom. There is no working TWRP for our device for Android 11. Building a custom recovery into the rom is more work. These developers do this in their free time, they have full time jobs, and family.
Has anyone been successful at flashing this? When I tried, I got signature errors with install aborted. Even tried downloading the file again just to make sure that it wasn't corrupted.
Yes, and I'm betting that you are using stock recovery which is what would cause this error.
Download this: 20200913-OFFICIAL-boot.img
Download and put inside your adb tools folder. Reboot to bootloader and fastboot flash --slot all boot official-boot.img
Then boot into recovery and factory reset. Then sideload rom by the following, adb sideload rom.zip or whatever the name is called. Then reboot phone and it will work. If you want to root, I've given instructions on that previously.

They can ignore my previous post. I appreciate your time in development here. It's limited with this device and I understand devs have full time jobs, and a family and they do what they can with their time. Much appreciated.

Your latest build is running great for me, and I love the AOSP Blur effect . One question though, are you able to set a lock screen wallpaper different from the home screen? By no means is it a big deal, just wondering if it's been working as it should for you.
I really appreciate you sharing your personal builds with us, your time as well!

I only use gestural navigation so I can't comment on this. Will look into it to check if it's broken upstream.

I'm seeing this too. Will check with official derp.
Is there a list of features for this ROM? I'm particularly interested in navigation button customization, i.e. long-press kill-app, launch activity, toggle screen rotate, etc.

Instructions for unlocking bootloader can be found here
Thank you @20tibby_gt06 for these instructions
TWRP Installation
1 - Download TWRP
2 - Reboot into boootloader mode
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
3 - Check to see if fastboot mode is working
Code:
adb fastboot devices
4 - Change working directory in terminal to your Downloads folder (or whatever folder TWRP is located)
Code:
cd Downloads
5 - Then type:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Replace "recovery.img" with the name of your file (I always change mine to recovery.img for less typing in the terminal)
For reasons unknown to me, some people have reported a successful flash with this method but TWRP ends out being non-existent when rebooting to recovery. If this is the case for you try this:
1 - Follow steps 1-4 above
2 - Enter this command instead for step 5:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
This will temporarily boot TWRP onto your device allowing you to flash the needed files to boot LineageOS

Quick question. I know own I shouldn't dirty flash but if I do will it keep the encryption in my external SD?
I use it as internal so I don't want to have to go through setting it all up again!
Will back it up anyway just in case

Also another random question. I find the WiFi in the other lineage rom to be slow.
This to me isn't a deal breaker as the performance difference overall is so much better but it would be interesting to know other people thoughts and if you think it is quicker in this new ROM.
For example I tried remote play and it's a laggy mess and downloading from the play store seems to take much longer than all my other devices.

I will work on a tutorial this evening for everyone for unlocking bootloader and installing twrp. It will be in post 2
One thing for now for you to try is instead of doing fastboot flash recovery recovery.img try fastboot boot recovery.img. that will temporarily boot it allowing you to flash the ROM, Gapps and root if you choose.

Ok encrypted sd caused me no end of issues so did a full wipe.
First bug I have got is in the camera. Keeps asking for sd to be inserted even though storage permission enabled.

That's strange, camera works great for me. Can you post logs?
Something is wrong. Magisk won't write to sd.
Log collector can't get access to collect the log.
Not sure what's going on!!
EDIT: Sorted it. It was because I had used external sd as internal. For some reason even after a full wipe it was looking for it. I had to tell it to forget it and now all is well.

Getting a few tantrums!!
Installed tom using the 2nd method
I managed to install your ROM using the temp twrp install method! Enabled root within rom settings! Installed flashify and gave it root permission then I was able to flash twrp.img permanently via flashify! Rom is lightning fast compared to the stock ROM! WiFi not as fast but I can live with that! Screencast doesn't find my Philips TV but other casting apps find it fine! Excellent ROM! Congratulations to the developer

Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system, functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
Notes for themers: In addition to the udpated theme, we have introduced a theme version variable to the TWRP theme system. If the theme version does not match the version that TWRP expects, TWRP will reject the custom theme and load its stock theme. This change will ensure that people who update TWRP without updating their theme will still have a workable recovery. We have removed libjpeg support. The stock theme was only using a jpeg image for the splash / curtain. This change means that any custom themes will no longer be able to use jpeg images. It also means that tools used to repack recovery images with a different curtain / splash will need to be updated to use the new method.
Version number notes: For a while we’ve been using a 4 digit version number and reserved the 4th digit for device-specific updates. For instance, we find and fix a device-specific issue like decryption of data on Nexus 5, we would release that as a 2.8.7.1. After a while, some people would start asking where 2.8.7.1 was for other devices. So, going forward we have decided to change the numbering scheme to 3.0.0-2, etc. Our hope is that this version numbering scheme will more clearly identify that the 4th digit does not indicate a version change for the code base.
We need your help! The bulk of TWRP work is done by 3 people on a volunteer basis. We have pushed most of our device files to our github and we have a gerrit instance. If you have the ability, please help us maintain our official devices and/or add your device to our official device list. Thanks in advance!

Nice! So this is supposed to work without A/B conflicts - unlike the other TWRP project?
Edit: Awesome! This works great so far. I now have permanent TWRP on my device. It updates partition details perfectly and I was able to flash Magisk without an issue.
Thanks a lot for your work!

WiFi not working, help please.
Testing without wifi:
* Magisk v17.1 (via TWRP/zip) -> works
* SuperSU (via Magisk) -> works
* SELinux-Manager (via TWRP/zip) and go to permissive mode -> works
* xposed (xposed-v90.2-sdk27-beta3, via TWRP) -> bootloop - I'll try direct installation through Magisk when wifi works.
What's about error message when deleting the cache in TWRP:
unable to find partition for path '/cache'?
To all restore the stock boot.img. To fix it
We need to find a solution. Don't flash the twrp.

It might work, but stick with OP steps, those 110% WORK, but up to you. I gave up on TWRP when A/B partitions came out and chose to just stick with and use stock ROM recovery. That will always work, TWRP, maybe not so much, IDK, it might, but you wont get the same type of help if you choose your own path (TWRP).
Also, just an FYI on nomenclature, this isn't firmware, but ROM, firmware contains all partitions, drivers, ETC., this is just the OS (ROM).
Thank good bro. Please you can create a version same this version V9, but face id use camera, same same this version 7.2 so you made ( https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=333516). Because i not enough money to buy the normal 4xl, i just enough to buy one no face id. Thank you for your time

Interesting, this is new to me (unable to scan face for a PX4), what type of pixel 4 XL is it then? Or are there hardware issues I missed? I cant comment on this fix (I am not the dev here) but I might be able to help you once I know the scope of work.
@putzwon, I have used this OS (ROM) since Friday, and thoroughly testing EVERYTHING! WOW, I am literally floored at how well EVERYTHING works!!
I have NO ISSUES, NO BUGS, NO SHOWSTOPPERS, nada. Even Now Playing works, I am floored by all of this! It is amazing, and I rarely say that about a ROM (with no bugs also being reported - at the same time), and as I noted earlier, in the past, cRdroid wasn't great for me (random bugs, and/or missing features I rely on). NOT this version, this version IS GREAT FOR ME, I have EVERY SINGLE possible tweak I want/need/use, PLUS functional services / RIL (Radio Interface Layer) I.E. CALLs/TXT/MMS, PLUS no bugs, or FCs, or anything that would keep me away!
Normally, I use LOS, and LOS only (while testing all other ROMs for users and myself), but always landing back with LOS, not this time! I am STICKING WITH cRdroid for the foreseeable future, it is my DailyDriver and will remain so until something changes (but doubtful at this point)!! I have everything I need, baked right into the ROM, so I don't even need my LSPosed modules (other than SafetyNetFix once ROOT'ng)!
EXTREMELY WELL DONE and THANK YOU FOR THIS ROM!!!! For the rest of XDA users, this ROM WORKS! It works EXTREMELY WELL, is bug-free (from my extensive testing and standpoint). I haven't found any bugs yet (not a single one)!

Yes, this is a type of 4XL, it's cheaper to 20% .
Installed it yesterday and almost everything is working perfectly. The only feature that seems to be missing Soli which is a shame since it's a fun novelty.
best rom ever love you
thaaanks
Thanks for the rom. Perhaps anyone could advice me if there is an easy switch from LOS 20 to this rom? If possible I'd like to avoid installing all apps again ... including the "security" features for a couple of sensitiv apps like bank apps.
Perhaps someone knows if restoring a swiftbackup would work.
Thanks

it is easy
i do it everytime I flash a custom rom
you need to root your phone using magisk
then instal
Migrate - ROM backup 5.0.1from play store
open it and take a full backup of your installed apps
copie this backup to your laptop
and after flashing this perfect rom
copie the backup from the laptop to the phone
and root the phone again
and instal
Migrate flasherfrom play store
open it
and flash the file you backed up
this way you will have allll your apps including your banking apps with all your data
you will not have to instal anything twise...
good luck
it is easy
don't worry..

Hello,
Wow, this is weird. This phone has no mods, no root, nothing. It used to work on stock Google firmware the day before I install it. That's why I thought it was a bug... Well, my daughter's got all her apps installed now. So she'll leave with it.
Cheers,
Sébastien.

First post, Downloads - BlissRoms Recovery Boot Image
Is that the recovery image or kernel?
I am currently running Bliss Android 11 (BlissRoms 14.7). If I go into Settings>System>Bliss Updater I can download it but not install it from the UI. The OP implies I can dirty flash v16.3 (A13) over v14.7 (A11).
I'm not planning to do it soon, but just want to confirm I can flash 16.3 over 14.7?
Thank you BlissROM v16.4 for pixel4a released today.
I updated from v16.3 by Dirty Flash method.
(I got boot.img file from payload.bin by Payload Dumper)
The most notable changes are the following points, and
Play Integrity API Checker/YASNAC check passed without Magisk and USNF module.
"Updated PixelPropsUtils to make SafetyNet working again"
I like New QS Panel Styles(Icon shape, Transparency).

Am I correct to assume "BlissRoms Factory zip" is the "Bliss-v16.3-sunfish-OFFICIAL-gapps-Fastboot-20230113.zip" image? and then use the OTA to update to 16.4?

Not recommended to take that huge leap without wiping data. you might encounter terrible bugs since you are upgrading over 2 generation worth of Android Upgrade

FYI I am attempting building the ROM from source. I have a really weird thing where the prebuilt webview.apk is only 134 bytes from a repo sync; every time. I checked the google source targeted by the manifest, and manually downloaded that at around 55MB (and placed it in the local source), but then it fails at 80%. I have previously been using the Telegram Build Bliss channel, but now its at a point I think I will need to document the error more and explain how the repo sync fails for webview.apk. I am hoping that any repo sync fix, also fixes the other fail. I think I got a fail at around 90%, its not always the same when it fails.
However, by chance I have developed a pretty bad cold/flu that worsened today and it has totally wiped me out, so building may be pushed aside. I'm pretty sure its not COVID (I think I have a spare RAT test lying around somewhere), no cough, my lungs feel fine and I got 100% oxygen saturation earlier today. But it has really developed quickly later in the day and wiped me out, whatever it is

Presenting an UNOFFICIAL build of RisingOS for the Google Pixel 4A 4G [sunfish]
What is RisingOS?
RisingOS is an Open Source Aftermarket Android Operating System that aims to deliver unique and refreshing android experience.
Based on Android 13 | Tiramisu QPR2 | with LineageOS
Screenshots Taken from their GitHub, not of my screen (I personally have yet to flash it!)
What's working?
You tell the rest of us!
Build Variations
This is a Google Apps Build
Installation Notes : FASTBOOT 1 step method, only !!
ROM ZIP should be able to be flashed over any ROM, via the following fastboot method.
However, I *THINK* the last official ROM from google that should of been flashed to the device, is the latest Android 13 firmware.
1. Download the ZIP / ROM & check the MD5
2. reboot into bootloader ( power off device and hold volume down + power, must have unlocked bootloader ) to get into fastboot mode. NOT fastbootD
3. Flash the ROM with the following command ( May remove -w flag to save user data , IF you are updating a previous installation)
risingOS-v1.1-Babylon-202306171229-sunfish-UNOFFICIAL-DiamondJohn-FASTBOOT.zip
NB: to rollback to previous version: fastboot update risingOS-v1.1-Babylon-202306021421-sunfish-CORE-COMMUNITY-updateimages.zip
4. Start First Boot. Maybe give it6 a minute oir three to "settle".

I would not. Its destined to fail.
BUT, you can try, and if it doesn't do so well, restart and flash again with the wipe.

DOH! I rebuilt it and flashed it. It booted, with all the goodies, EXCEPT its a de-googled version of crDroid! anyone interested in this build?
I searched while out, and there is magisk module to install google services & apps.
Since crDRoid is in holding, I installed this ROM on my spare phone. I got frustrated that the QS Header image was by a number. Attached is a zip with the images showing their numbers.

Which ROM is a matter of preference, and also now your trust in my ability to get it running. I have a de-googled version on offer, and no-one took me up on it.
I did a search today, and I actually found an OFFICIAL crDroid that also didnt have google (ie what no-one wants). The official builder would have inside knowledge and access to crDroid devs. So its not going to be simple, and their docs for building aren't as good as others.
However, I would be running crDroid, if/when I have a choice. I am running A11 so A13 is overdue.

Does this ROM file have persist.img in it? Because i need this in order to fix my Pixel 4a, resulted "No valid slot to boot." after i removed persist.img.

Sorry, I dont understand what you are talking about. Dont know all the partitions offhand.
However, what I have created / provided is a FASTBOOT flash image, which has most if not all partitions in it. However, when I open the zip, I dont see anything named "persist". Have you tried flashing stock top maybe bring it back to life? I dont see anything named "persist" in stock either.
@GreatUserName I just had a look, and inside a zip inside the stock firmware lies a fastboot image like I provide, and it too has no partition named persist. But it also has the bootloader and radio
can somebody give me a copy of the app APK for ExactCalculator?
And what is the name of the default music player?
Try to flash the rom with ADB, but still impossible to install... ADB failed partition not found...
