Hi guys,
I have an old Samsung S7 and what i would like to do with it is to connect it to my sound system with aux cable and be able somehow to cast music on it with my current phone and/or laptop.
For example cast youtube, soundcloud, spotify
Is there any app that can emulate chromecast or any service that can do this?
Thanx in advance
i dont think there is any app that is able to do this at the moment

so have a note2 and enjoying it... issue is getting media to my other devices. Currently I have an ipad1 sitting under my audio receiver connected via usb and it allows me to control spotify with my universal remote as if the receiver and ipad were one. I am thinking about buying a nexus 10 but I use my tabs for mostly media and ebooks. I want the sound and possible video (all streamed... spotify, netflix, google music, pandora) to somehow make it to my receiver and if it is video obviously make it to my tv. My receiver is a yamaha rx-373 (have a rx-473bl in the mail with networking abilities)
The solution I am looking at would preferably be something close to airplay or being able to connect my device through usb and control it with my universal remote or connect via hdmi but still charge my device. Ideal solution is being able to output everything over wifi to a receiver (maybe samsung allshare dongle) attached hdmi to my yamaha receiver. I just have no clue if that dongle will work with non samsung devices and if it will completely mirror my device.
Anyways this is what I am looking for and wasnt really trying to spend a bunch of money in trying things and paying return shipping on multiple things for what kind of knowledge probably is available here.
is it possible??
i actually wanted to do this because i want to play the music through my tablet but want all the notifications from my phone.:laugh:
I'd be interested too! I don't believe it's possible. However, the Spotify app lets you control one instance from another if both devices are on the same network. I control Spotify on my phone from my watch using remote widget while it controls my tablet which is playing via my Bluetooth speaker.

Hey guys,
I recently switched to an S6 and I like it very much.
but i got a question.
I have at home a denon AV receiver, without wifi, but connected over etherned cable to my router
With my htc one m7 it was enough to slide 3 fingers over the display to connect it to the receiver and sound frm youtube, deezer, whatever came through my sound system.
I don t care about video, but more the sound.
Somehow I dn t know how to do this with the s6 for youtube or deezer.
I read in some forums, found out about quick connect. The s6 is my first samsung phine. I can use quick connect and it connects to the denon but I can chose obly to play from the gallery or music app.... what I want is youtube, deezer etc. With htc it didn t care what app...
Even when I open youtuve or deezer and I click on share with quick connect, it will not play...it works only with the music/galery app from samsung... what do I wrong or what do I need to do so that it works?
Thanks
So after reading a bit more, I figured out that htc implemented 3 yrs ago sth called htc connect as alternative to airplay and it did its job... streaming spotify, youtube etc...
but if I m right, samsung has nth similar to this? I consider this very poorly...
Hey, so my tv is ****ed up and i cant use the wifi or wifi-direct or something with network. And i want to Stream my screen and audio from my s6 to my tv so i can connect my pc to the tv with a hdmi cable and connect my s6 with the pc, but whats the best way to do this?? i dont want it to lag. i want to mirror my s6 screen to my pc FULLSCREEN so that i can play games on my s6 and that it streams the screen AND audio zo my pc. whats the best way? i know many things that mirror screen on pc but i need the audio streaming too.
Was exclusively an HTC user for probably the last 10 years, but decided to change it up this year and went for the S8+ . HTC had came out with "HTC connect" which could connect to both airplay and dlna devices alike. It did it in a way where all of my phone's audio would play wirelessly through my receiver, sort of like a wireless aux cable, but at the same time including all of the benefits of Dlna.
What I'm ultimately trying to do is connect to my receiver and play music which my phone is streaming from services such as: YouTube, Spotify, Amazon music, etc. Whenever I connect to my receiver with my phone, it wants to only play files that are located in my phone, which is not what I want.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
