Hello. I've run into a strange problem on my RN7P (running on latest stable miui 12 release). When I record a video through either the stock camera app or 3rd party camera apps, the left and right channels of the audio get summed to mono. I used to be able to get stereo audio before but suddenly this happened.
I tested the native voice recorder app and that still gives me proper stereo audio with no problem, and so the issue is definitely not with the microphones. This mono audio problem happens only when I record videos.
Is there a setting somewhere that I messed up? There are no audio settings on the stock camera app and in the 3rd party app (Open Camera), I have the audio settings set to stereo which still doesn't work.

Good evening, everybody. Since I haven't found any thread regarding this, I am asking this myself now.
A701 (and similar tabs like a700 and a500) comes with 2 microphones, which makes stereo sound recording possible. The problem is, none of audio/video recording apps I have tried out seems to "know" how to use both microphones for stereo input. None, except default/preinstalled ACER video camera app, and ONLY while using one of the video filters, like "big eyes" e.t.c., and this is, in my opinion, really weird. I tried RecForge, Camera JB+ and some other apps, which support stereo recording (and works just fine on my xperia arc phone), but no matter which settings I used, I always end up with mono recording (mono sound in stereo file format, to be exact) as output. The fact, that native video app somehow manages to record stereo audio track along the video, makes me believe that its not some fault in my device, but some kind of software/hardware mapping sort of problem. Can somebody confirm this? Any suggestions?

I rooted my tablet so I could use the application "SCR Screen Recorder Pro" to record my college lectures and notes while using LectureNotes. It works great, but I find the sound of the S-Pen tapping is annoying. I want to know if anyone has any ideas on how to record the audio through the mic on my Samsung smartphone via bluetooth, instead of the microphone on my Note tablet.
You could use any number of the voice recorders found on Play Store to record your voice separately, then use a desktop video editor to overlay the recorded audio over the video. Second option is to connect the Note to a Bluetooth headset and see if that overrides the built in mic being used.

Just bought a Moto G, and am liking it. However, it seems that the only way to record stereo audio is to make a video. All of the audio-only recording apps I've tried record in mono only, even if set for stereo recording. Anyone have success in this area and can suggest an app?

When I try to record a video with Bluetooth connected I lose the audio from my Bluetooth device. Is this normal? It doesn't do it with gcam only with the stock OnePlus messaging app.
I recently got my hand on an A51 and everything looks nice so far, except for the audio when on call. It looks like whenever I'm on VoIP internet call, on every app: Zoom, Skype, Discord... , and I play a music video in chrome app, the music audio sounds awful, it feels like the audio is using the same VoIP channel instead of a separate sound channel. Whereas with my old A7 (2017) Samsung, music audio can be played clearly whenever I'm on call, it's like for the old A7 there are 2 separate sound channels for calling and for nornal app, I'm using a wired headphones so there shouldn't be an issue with sound
I've been looking at way to fix this, went to multiple support forums and tried things like adding app to separate sound channel, adding it to game launcher, nothing seems to work, does anyone have the same issue ? is it an issue that can be fixed and how can I resolve this ?
