how to backup v9 before upgrade, so as to be able to revert if the upgrade degrades performance?
I remember reading in several places that you cannot go back to 9 after installing 10. But I could be wrong...

Hey all,
I have had my X2 702L for over a year. It started getting buggy in that when I would try to make a call the dialer would close after I entered the first number. This was a periodic problem and a restart had no effect. Finally, I restored to factory settings but it still happens periodically. Anyhow, main issue now is that my reception ain't what it used to be. I'm in Jersey (USA) and was getting pretty reliable hspa, but now it's real spotty and I'm mostly getting "E"....whatever that means. Would flashing a rom improve my reception? Is there anything else I should try? Maybe an app? At this point, my phone is completely stock. Thanks for any help.
For a bonus, has anyone tried the M2 lite (7 inch screen?) Any better reception_wize?
hello. I would suggest you ton install TWRP recovery, do a nandroid backup of your current system + save the maximum of personnal data (like with huawei backup app + helium backup) . And then give a try to the last official/custom rom available for your device, by restoring your huawei backup + your helium backup. If you're not happy, intall the TWRP of your new version of android (if you went form android 5 to 6 by upgrading your rom), and restore your nandroid backup.
huawei mediapad M2 7.0 have no ear monitor I think. So not a phone as the mediapad X2 is.
I'm really suffering with battery life on Open Beta 6 so I want to switch to 10.0.2, but the question is how?
I've found downgrade packages to Android 9, but I haven't found a similar package for 10.0.2
As you've likely found. Can't be done directly (yet). Back to Pie, then up to stock 10
Yes, that's what I ended up doing, back to pie then upgrade to Q
Hello. I got the new update to Android 11 today and it made my Wifi so unstable its barely usable. I want to reinstall the old Android 10 on my Xperia 5 II. Is there a way to do that? I dont care if it wipes the phone.
As soon as I've updated my phone to Android 12, is there any way to roll back to Android 11? I'm talking about stock UI 4.0. Unfortunately, if you are on Android 12 - there's no easy way to re-install a copy of Android 11 stock ROM. Flashing via Odin doesn't go through. Some people say that you need to go to a Samsung Service Center. I can't believe it! I'm sure there must be a fix for that. Of course, it's possible to play around with really high possibility to permanently brick the phone. I'm talking about reformatting partitions and flashing a pit file...
If the bottled version is higher on Android 12, it probably is, then you can't downgrade. In the build number, I believe it's the 5th number from the right might want to check that it with Google. If the new firmware has a higher number there NO going back...

I confirm that I also downgraded from Android 12 / One UI 4.0 (January 1 patch) to Android 11 / One UI 3.1 (November 1 patch) without problems. There were several aspects of the new version that were bothering me a lot, now I'm happy both versions are binary 3, but it will cease to be in the following versions for sure...
Hi can you help me with guidelines to upgrade to android 12? I'm using Note 20 ultra n985f/ds. It was previously a Live demo unit but is now fully functional on android 10. My csc is OXM WWD... looking forward to your help
Also I'd like to know which is better, should I just change my csc so I can receive the push for update via OTA or just follow a guideline for flashing with Odin, thanks in advance
Hi Guys,
I am currently on Android 11 with 11.0.8.14 (KB2003) with root and happy so far. I have not yet received an option for update to A12 but his is because I am on 11.0.8.14 not on 11.0.13.13 I assume.
I am planning to update to Android 12 and wonder
what are the easiest/suggested process steps to upgrade from A11 to A12 with having root again? (Example: Backup, Update, Root, Restore data)
which options/guides are availble in general for this procedure?
how can I backup all data (photos, installed Apps, Appdata, ...) the easiest way (preferable via Windows) to (ideally there is some One-Click-Solution like SmartSwitch)?
how can I restore the saved data from the backup for a restore to A12?
is the camera at least as good as under A11 or even better?
Thanks for your help in advance.
Hello!
1. For rooting options check this excellent thread.
2. If you have root, you can use numerous options to backup your phone like OnePlus own app or Swift backup.
3. In general if you're updating from OOS11 to OOS12 stable, there is no data loss, so nothing needed to restore.
4. I don't think that camera performance got better.
