Bought the OnePlus 8T from their Chinese store because I live in China. Has anybody else living in China flashed OxygenOS onto it? It comes with HydrogenOS by default, but I always used Oxygen with past One Plus phones I bought here.
I just received a CN Version from Aliexpress. It was stated to have the Global ROM on it. Looks like it has the NA ROM which is ok with me.

Have you noticed anything unusual with the OS? I'm American so my first instinct was to go for the NA OxygenOS, in the past I didn't have multiple regions to have to choose so I was going back and forth on what my best course of action is.
Nothing wrong with it from what I can see. I was looking to put some other regions OS else on it through the OxygenUpdater just to see. I received it yesterday so haven't had time to do it.
Had some bugs with the launcher but seems fixed after updating through Google Play
I just got the cyberpunk 8T today, it came with hydrogen and I have always installed oxygen on my china bought oneplus (3, 3T, 5, 7 pro) without problems.
For the 8T, I can't find the oxygen download (only 8 and 8pro are listed on the website while earlier models have T version firmwares listed)
furthermore I am afraid to lose the custom boot screen and other effects of the cyberpunk edition (so I'd need a way to back that up before I try to flash something else)
any insight?

Any luck/information since you got it? It seems some companies are selling them with OxygenOS installed, so it's certainly possible. I'm curious which ROM they are using, since (as you said) the 8T ROM is not listed on the official site.

Hi there!
Does your phone have this info -- please see attached screen shot.
Hey, you can flash oxygen 11 india version though.
I also live in China, and I flashed it the day bought it, seems decent.
Some apps may got a little problem, like Amazon locked in "amazon.in", others looks good.

Hi, did you flash your cyberpunk 8T with a global O2OS? How does it work so far? I got my cyberpunk version today but having some troubles using google apps with the stock H2OS. I'm looking for advice on making the cyberpunk 8T work flawlessly with google. The theme doesn't matter a lot to me now

Sorry for my ignorance but what does this mean? I supose that's only the firmware, not the source code, but does it mean that we are one step closer to unlocking the bootloader?

This made me literally lol, because it's almost certainly true haha. If you got your phone from the Orient (Asian countries that sell the NEX S/A, you 100% have the Chinese ROM. I ordered my S from Hong Kong in the second round of sales on the Vivo China site, and I got the Chinese ROM, obviously. You can remove a lot of stuff, but there are issues we've all been dealing with and trying to get around in order to maximize the personal experience more. It's very restrictive with the OS if you don't have a legit Vivo China account or a public account. Otherwise, you can't delete a lot of baked-in Vivo junk, and the phone notifications have a life of their own, literally. They come in randomly and whenever with no reason, despite all settings adjusted to allow them permission and access. The Global ROM apparently isn't as bad in this regard.
What are everyone's thoughts on the latest update?

Hi Oneplus Community!
I have some questions before buying Oneplus 7 tomorrow.
• I'll be getting the GM1900 which is Chinese Model but the seller said that it has already been flashed to OxygenOS, I will not encounter any update issue or update will be delay right if I'll get this one?
• Banking Apps should work fine after flashing OxygenOS to GM1900 model? or it will not work because of root or unlock bootloader? (I'm really sorry since I don't have any information about these)
• I'll be upgrading from Galaxy S8+ to Oneplus 7 will there be a huge difference in daily usage performance?
I can't get the Global version in my country(Philippines) because it is not officially released here and in the future once it will be released it will be troublesome to get one because in my region they don't stock Oneplus that much. So I'll be getting the Chinese Model to a non-official store in my place.
Hello my friend!
Last year when OnePlus released the android Pie HydrogenOS for the OnePlus 5T (the chinese version of the OS), there were some problems with the device. No Playstore installed, some firmware issues (force closed etc not necessarily related to the beta) and also there weren't any google apps (easy to install though). We had to install TWRP to install the HydrogenOS beta, root the device, unlock the bootloader etc.
Why am i telling you these? Because probably they will send you a device with unlocked bootloader etc (I said probably, not sure ). So you will have to ask them how the installed the firmware.
Yes. The OP7 is a beast. I got mine yesterday and it's a great device. Once you get a OnePlus you will not buy another phone, trust me on this one.
Wait some days to see if the oneplus becomes official to your country too and also ask the retailer those information so that you can be sure that the device you are about to buy is not messed up

Oh that is very scary since I'm not that expert on the customization of android how can I check the bootloader status if its unlock or not?
Lastly, even if they flash OxygenOS from HydrogenOS updating it to the next OS will make my device revert its OS to the original and default for GM1900 which is HydrogenOS? Please enlighten me. They are claiming that it is a Global ROM btw.
Thank you for the heads up!

Well, you can't check it until you have the device. It could be the Global ROM but i think that they have to make some changes in order to modify it. No, it won't revert to the HydrogenOS after installing an update afaik.
How much does it cost? There isn't another retailer or another online shop from where you can buy the European model?

It costs ₱25,990 or around 500 USD pretty cheap though yeah this store I'm going to get one is somehow popular here in my location they offer products that the official market doesn't. If I have to wait for the official Oneplus 7 in my country my estimate will be in September or October if they are going to release it in my country even the 7 Pro was officially launched here in the Philippines, our authorized seller(Store A) in my place of Oneplus doesn't even have the stock of Oneplus 7 Pro they say it will be arriving mid or late July (sucks) so its really hard in my situation right now to get an official one they only offer a Oneplus 6T right now which costs around 550 USD. So I have to get the Oneplus 7 on the (Store B) who is selling the GM1900 model which is modified to OxygenOS. Btw these chinese model are also popular here in my country because it is cheaper than the official one around 10-30% price difference (base on our oneplus community facebook group). Only bad thing if I get from (Store B) is that they only offer 3 months warranty and if it is bound for replacement they are going to send it back and have it diagnose before they will give me a replacement hopefully I won't get there.
Will work fine, same hardware and bands as in EU version. Using China 256/8GB version in EU, no issues at all.
If you want the european one then order it to an european country and then use this service. https://www.parcl.com/ (if products are not available to order in your country yet, just order to this companys hq from some EU country and they will ship it to you)
Hey @cheschanco I don't know whether you have made your decision of not, if they have already installed Oxygen is, you can get the device. Don't worry about bootloader lock/unlock it doesn't have to do anything with updates unless you are rooted. If you still want locked bootloader there is simple command for that and is one step process you don't have to be an expert for that.
Although you will still receive all the oos updates nevertheless. Now coming to the device. This has by far the best device OnePlus has made in terms of price and performance. Camera quality is identical to op7pro - wide angle. Just go for it.

I already got the device and yes it comes with OxygenOS with it. I guess I will not mess with those settings anymore anyway is it ok to keep the factory OS which is 9.5.2 I'm still hesitating to update because of some bugs and battery drain according to other users and with my current OS I don't notice any bugs so I'm going to stick with this one. Yeah correct huge improvement specially in gaming performance compare to my S8+ looks like a 150% difference.

And does it guarantee 2 major Android versions same as Samsung or not
Thanks in advance
Yea want to together to you
would like to know this too
if Oppo has a tool like Odin akin to Samsung where we can download fw and flash ourselves for the monthly Android security patches at least.
So far so good. Since I've got the device there was 2 software update (just received the second one today)

It would require unlocking your bootloader, and I'm pretty sure you cant do that on Oppo devices.
EDIT: It appears I was wrong. I did a bit of research and from what I understand, you can only unlock the bootloader on Chinese variants. But it still is kinda difficult to do. From another thread
"You can only unlock your bootloader once your Oppo ID has been logged into the phone for 60 days or more."
"They only accept 15,000 applications per month and the quota refreshes on the 16th of the month."
But please let me know if you find out any more information about this. I ordered a Find X2 yesterday and I'm probably gonna want to flash a global ROM to get rid of the Chinese bloatware apps. Thanks in advance.

hi guys, for those with software update problems there is a solution:
download a free vpn from the playstore, start the vpn by locating the country of purchase of your oppo find x2 pro, access the settings, software update, and you will see that it immediately notifies you of the new firmware update. start the download, and after 10 seconds turn off the vpn and continue the download in wifi. I tested it on my oppo and received 2 updates. sorry my english.

download a free vpn from the playstore, start the vpn by locating the country of purchase of your oppo find x2 pro, access the settings, software update, and you will see that it immediately notifies you of the new firmware update. start the download, and after 10 seconds turn off the vpn and continue the download in wifi. I tested it on my oppo and received 2 updates. sorry my english.

Im in a15
perfect! I was on A06, now I am on A14
I'm on the PDEM30_11_A.07
I tried updating using a VPN tunner bear connected to Hongkong, Singapore and India. All told me that my current version is the newest.
I believe it only works on a global version. you should try to synchronize with the vpn the state where you bought your oppo.
Just found this one. Not sure if this works on non-international versions.

it works to transform the RMX2071 into RMX2075 or RMX2076?
i got my chinese RMX2071 today and want to try this any help from someone ?
Currently there is no way to do that. What you can do to have your Chinese model RMX2071 closer to the Global one is to follow the steps as described within the URL below by Mywk (debloating):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x2-pro/how-to/eu-rom-realme-ui-debloat-list-t4084795
I did it and worked satisfactorily.
It would be a good idea to steal to unlock the bootloader and install the firmwsre from India through the official flash tool for fastboot, as it is done in xiaomi

Not for now. I am here in the same situation as you!
I've succeeded to load RMX2076EU onto RMX2071.
The hack works only combining RMX2071_OTA_11 A.18 with RMX2076EU_OTA_11 A.20.

I know this is off topic, but I'm quite interested in actually getting theme store for my UK RMX2075 phone, I don't suppose you could get the apk from read only system partition? Want to try it and see if it works.
Thanks in advance

Xiaomi has not release the global version of Mi 10 Pro. Only EEA firmware.
Only Mi 10 has EEA, Global and India firmwares.
Thanks.
For Mi 10 Global (MI) is with Mi Messages & Phone or Google ?
I have 10 Pro Global from HK and it came with Google versions.
I have the Chinese version as well and flashed it with Xiaomi.eu rom.

No updates since original bootup. Still on 11.0.2.0 QJAMIXM.
What has confused me though is that my QJA version does not show up on xiaomi's site - theirs says QJB.
What is yours?

This phone is the China rom with Google features. It is a Xiaomi.eu rom, at least mine was. Since this phone comes pre-rooted with an unlocked bootloader, I installed TWRP and flashed the latest version of MIUI 12 from the Xiaomi.eu website. The roms there are based of the Chinese roms, minus the Chinese bloat and with Google features added in. Remember, the EEA or Global version actually supports different bands than the Chinese version. Being in the US and a T-Mobile user, I need bands 2,4,5,&12 which are not supported in the EEA version, but I need the Google services, so flashing the Xiaomi.eu rom gives me the best of both worlds.

I have same firmware. It’s not a Chinese rom as I asked Wondamobile prior to purchase. It’s the Global Hong Kong version.
I also got this checked afterwards by someone else.

If it is a Xiaomi.eu rom, it is based on the China rom with Google services added in by the Xiaomi.eu devs. Go to their website, Xiaomi.eu, and see for yourself.

It’s not the xiaomi.eu , it’s as I said in my previous comment. If you check the included bands, i have the same bands as the global version. The Chinese version has less etc...
The issue is Xiaomi Mi 10 is a runaway success so all the resources have gone on this version. The mi 10 pro has not had the same amount of love. Even the Chinese version hadn’t had much love. You can check this on the official mi forums.
Where did you get your phone from?

Hong Kong is where mine was imported from (Giztop). There are only to versions of this phone. Either the Chinese version or EEA/Global version and they are priced differently too. There's a very limited number of roms this device can run. There's stock EEA/Global or Chinese and then there's the modified MIUI roms from Xiaomi.eu and MIUIMIX, which uses the Xiaomi.eu as it's base. The Xiaomi.eu rom uses stock Chinese as it's base. The stock China rom also has Google services built in. One merely needs to go the Xiaomi store and download Google Play and any other APK and Gapps you wish. But to verify which rom you are actually running, go to <settings> and then <my device>. If you are running the China rom with Gapps added, updater may have been disabled by the company so not overwrite Gapps and reinstall Chinese bloat when updated.

BTW, Giztop has both the EEA/Global and Chinese variants available. The Chinese sells for $729.00 USD and the EEA/Global sells for $849.00 USD.

Screenshot of what my phone says. What's your view ?
Mine is also from wondamobile and is therefore the same as yours.
My phone status still shows as locked. If it was a non-official miui ROM would it not show as unlocked?

That' s my thought. I also got someone who works in the industry in a senior position to check for me, and nothing came back as an issue.
Even looking on Xiaomi.eu list of roms there is no firmware matching this. Looking on Xiaomi's official forums, there has not been an update on the global either. Plus the website that scanes firmware updates isn't reporting anything.
If Wonda sold me the non global, I will go back to them, and also raise a PayPal claim against them, but I specifically asked them was this a chinese version with flashed eu firwmare, with the bootloader unlocked etc and they said not.
In fact this is what Wondamobile said to me "
100% global version from Hong Kong, not one with a bootloader unlocked and flashed."
Yes I agree. I have bought several phones from them in the past and found them to be reliable.
Our firmware number matches the one on xiaomi's site. It is just that letter 'A' that is different.
Looks like other versions have a higher number so hopefully we should see an update soon.

Fingers crossed. I have just sent an email to Xiaomi Customer service in HK, so hopefully they will confirm that the firmware is ok, and also when the next update is due. I also asked them for an ETA on MIUI 12 for the handset.

I will only be concerned once I see the 'global' version on xiaomi's site have a higher number and I receive no updates on my phone.
Yes, it is disappointing that they announced that the 9 would get MIUI 12 before the 10! I suspect they will give you a vague answer but you never know.

I noticed the Mi 10 (non pro) has a firmware number as you said pretty much identical to ours except for one letter.
Even if I get a vague reply, that's all I need for now. If the phone doesnt get the OTA for the new firmware when it arrives, then like you I will be concerned. I am not into flashing phones etc.

The page I am looking at seems to apply to both Pro and non-pro...see attached.
I guess you mean it says just Mi 10 under the ROM itself, but it includes Pro in the title. Confusing!
