Introduction
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 11 (R), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Wow dude Android 11 already
Hi. Thanks for the great work
I can't flash the ROM successfully: errors 1 or 11. Tryed different recoveries (twrp official all), edit update script, anyway - no result.

As I mentioned in the #OP, only m7ul ril blobs supported, and error 11 is normal, just ignore it if you have a ul variant.
Don't worry.
Yeah. I have m7_ul.
Hboot 1.61.0000 Made format data, flashing boot first, anyway ...
I don't worry
Thank you.
Hooooly sh...
This is really surprising, and I'm grateful that you're still working on this ancient phone.
Did you build the Android Go variant for this device? The screenshots sort of feel like it. It would probably make the performance much better, too.
Great stuff, second phone of mine which is getting Android 11 from you
Yes, it works!
No any sound, terminal from dev. sett-s cause reboot and bootloop, browsers doesn't work, root I got with zip for rooting api 30. Magisk (even 21006) can't root
Amazing that you are still working on this device!
But i am trying to install it from TWRP (latest) and I keep getting "Updater process ended with signal: 11".
If it matters, battery is at 50% and plugged in

Lol seems like I'm getting my M7 out of the drawer. Hope the Audio Playback issue gets resolved. Is there a way to put Dolby Atmos EQ on the M7, it does wonders for my Huawei P30.

Thanks for the fast update.
Is the lockscreen still not ok to have ?
Flashlight doesn't work for me. WIfi is very very slow at finding any nearby connection (I have to turn it off and on again to make it see networks).
Restarting doesn't restart. It shows "restarting" but if i press the power button again I can SEE (but unable to click) between "emergency", "power off" or "restart" (restart doesn't work).
Noticed:
No advanced restart yet?
Is it possible to add fm-radio support by kernel?
Fspirit won't work.

What about add fm-radio support to kernel?

Here flashlight works fine. WiFi has the same issues as you got. Restart button simply shuts down the phone instead of rebooting it.

Only way to get the flashlight to work is by holding it instead of pressing it once (then it glitches a little and i have to turn on/off a couple of times to make it "work" like i said)

Rooting with magisk canary does not work btw.
TWRP latest, it finishes with no errors but when you boot the phone up, magisk isn't there.
Here’s some issues I’ve found so far on the the latest build (20201111):
1. Bluetooth doesn’t work.
2. Local Terminal app crashes and restarts phone.
3. Refresh rate starts to lower after a certain period of usage.
4. Restarting phone takes forever.
That’s all for now.
Thanks for your great work!
For have root flash it from TWRP

Wifi
Bluetooth
Camera
Mp3 Playback
Video Playback
Not Working/Bugs
Camera
VoLTE is currently unimplemented as it breaks RIL
MP3 playback (for some reason) | Use poweramp/vlc or set mono audio from accesibility settings.
Permissive SELinux
Installation
Requires Unlocked Bootloader & a custom recovery. Also, use opengapps nano/pico: http://opengapps.org/
Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD
Reboot in Bootloader Mode
Go to "Recovery" (Vol +/Vol -) and confirm (power)
Wipe Data/Factory Reset
Wipe Dalvik cache
Install the ROM zip
DO NOT REBOOT
Install the Gapps zip (optional)
Reboot
N.B. Official LineageOS builds are unrooted, if you want this feature back flash su (arm) (available here) then enable root access from Settings -> Developer options.
Unroot is even easier, just flash "su removal" package available at the previous linked page. (not yet implemented - Use magisk instead)
Also, a big thanks to @Alberto97 for the osprey/msm8916 bringup, @DroidFreak32 for the help and the commits and the repos i had to use, @CarlosArriagaCM for the Wi-Fi fixes, @amarc78 for the testing on dual-sim devices.

NOTE FOR THOSE WHO USE DATA: Please, go and enable developers options and then DISABLE MOBILE DATA ALWAYS ACTIVE! This will eat your data if you have it enabled (check latest screenshots). Also, the first boot may be laggy as hell, so, wait until the "Android is upgrading" notification ends and then reboot. You'll get a more stable system after that.
FAQ
Q: It's for daily usage?
A: It's a experimental test build to have fun and mess with. Obviously the bugs will be fixed soon, but, if you are flashing this rom and using it for daily usage and then complaining about it, don't point at me, you're the responsible for flashing this.
Q: Camera will be fixed?
A: Well, the camera it's a thing because we use a old type of camera, that previously was unsupported (HAL1, remember that nougat doesn't got video recording? Well, it was because of our type of camera). So, we have to wait to lineage to fix it or workaround it in some way.
Q: I got x issue flashing x mod!!
A: First of all, naturally mods are unsupported, and more in this case, i mean, it's a new version of android, obviously some stuff will be unsupported and they have to update it, so, if your mod doesn't work, please don't report it here.
Q: I got x issue! halp
A: If the issue wasn't reported already on the OP, please report it with a log, you can take it with adb logcat on your pc, or replicating the issue and logging it with Matlog (requires root)
Q: Sir pls do it for otus/moto e4/idk
A: I don't have the device so, how can i test if everything is ok? Also, please don't spam "Waiting for x device" because... that will not do anything more than make spam
Q: Where can i get gapps for 8.0?!?!?!
A: Please go back into the first post and read it carefully.
Q: When i installed the gapps, and go into play store, my phone keeps into "Getting info"
A: Did you flashed rom and after a reboot did you flashed gapps? that's why it's getting there. Else, i don't know tbh, it should work normally if you clean flash the ROM along with gapps.
Q: If i want to flash some new update, how can i do it?
A: Without doing any wipes, flash the new release, the gapps and magisk (if you used it, if you didn't flashed it, skip this) and then reboot. You'll have everything working without crashes and stuff
I think that's it for now, here's some screenshots

Wow I'm excited! Great work guys! This seems very stable for a first build. I've been running @Carlos Arriaga's AOSP 7.1.2 ROM for a while now, so I can't wait for AOSP Oreo!

Sorry but Jio4GVoice App Just helps Dervice w/o VoLTE to place a call over Network & also If you are able to receive and place call using Jio (with Audio/Voice of Bidirectionally) without Jio4GVoice App Than its considered to have VoLTE Support
Edit:-
Tested Calling Using VoLTE (Device Dialer) it worked sometimes (not every time)
While Receiving Calls (Incoming Calls) are most probably received (Out of Coverage Area or Device Switched OFF) but when its placed The Device Restarts to TWRP (Factory Data Restart - Device Restarting)
These are the issues I faced (Using Phone Dialer)
Note: As per Dev VoLTE is still unimplemented so don't bother about it much till its implemented or said so by the Dev
@ElDainosor Thanks for the ROM
@ElDainosor
Hi, downloading 09.07 & pico. Will flash soon.
Do you need some tests?
Xt1524.
Hmm...
Oreo is ugly like... curdled milk, out of date for consumption.
Flashed without any problems, restoring apps from google account, will flash magisk 14 soon.
New trebuchet? Where the globe is rolling?
Good job.
Bt works, poweramp, jetaudio - yes, black player - no.
Tomorrow will check gps - waze, g.maps, navime.
Magisk 14, adaway - yes. Waze - yes.
How can I disable charging led(only for charging)?

Hey, I installed a custom ROM (not this one) and my phone is stuck into the logo of the ROM and doesn't open to the main screen can anyone tell me How to solve this problem?
Note: the first time I installed it didn't install Gapps but after that, I tried another ROM (The Same Problem) finally I tried the Official one miui12 but still with the same problem
Bug
Thank you for the bluetooth fix and for the rom it does have some incompatibility issues with some apps but this certainly isn't your fault they just were not made for android 11. Only bug i have found is that the "Extreme Battery Saver" does not let you pick the "when to use option" and if you press it twice then it crashes it is not a big issue, still reporting tho because some might want that feature.
Edit: The app crashes were caused from system webview everything works perfectly after updating, again thank you for your hard work. Of course it did not change anything about the Extreme battery saver setting.
Some Fixes
If some apps crash (google maps as well) update the system webview to the latest version.
Note: I installed the latest version from the internet because it did not show any updates on the play store now most apps work fine and do not crash.
If you are using greenify and it crashes when you press settings, install riru and riru edxposed and the edxposed apk from here https://github.com/ElderDrivers/EdXposedManager/releases/tag/v4.6.2.0.0. then reboot and enable the greenify in the module's section, reboot once more and the problem is solved.
If google play store crashes when you are trying to make a purchase download the latest version here https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/ then reboot and the problem should be solved.
Bug
In settings, display, styles and wallpapers icons do not change.

Hello,
Thank you for this rom, everything seems to work fine so far but I have a strange bug.
When I use FM, I have no sound on wired headphone, the rest work fine scan, RDS… and I can use headphone with others app.
I tried to find something in log but didn't find something useful.
Thanks for your help

Waouh, this one is tricky, it works with normal headphone but not with my jack-jack cable which wire my audio system. The really strange thing is that other sounds works fine and the same phone and cable can ouput FM radio fine on CM11. By plugging and unplugging the cable, I’ve heared a microsecond of radio, then nothing… I will try to investigate further

It's good to upload also version without phone verification. I use old version of TWRP (cause the newest doesn't work good), and I manually need to disable phone verification, cause installer don't detect my phone propertly (htc_hiaeuhl)

Not just WIPE, but use FORMAT DATA from TWRP.
Firmware means if you were coming from stock 7.0 or 6.0.
Hi, I installed the rom and formatted ,I think I forgot to format the twrp data as the system does not pass the lineage loading logo, affected this in that ?
The phone had Android 7.0 Nougat stock and my phone model is hiaewhl.
Thank you very much and I look forward to your reply.

Just go back to TWRP and FORMAT DATA.
Ok,but, how can I turn off the device if it is in the charging logo haha ?
Do I wait for the battery to run out?
Another thing, then when i can access twrp,i just go to wipe-format data right ? or do i have to redo the dalvik, system, cache, and internal storage wipes(for this one don't worry,i have literally nothing already on this phone).
Thank you!

Getting stuck during initial setup "Getting your tablet ready..." Seemed like it could connect to wifi, but then would fail to communicate after that. Maybe a Gapps issue (using nano)?

No dice. Had the same issues with both nano and stock GApps. Wiped and reflashed a couple of times.
I feel like I might've had some sort of weird wifi-related issue with a previous release, but don't remember getting stuck like this. Can't make it through any of the initial setup (even when I try to do offline).

Had the same issue and, due to the comment of @Kaijones23, tried to fix it by using MindTheGapps. With this package, I could pass the "getting your tablet ready" step but was then stuck in a setup loop. Whenever the setup came to the speech activation step (which I wanted to deny), it jumped back right to the beginning.
So maybe MindTheGapps isn't the right choice either?
Additionally, today's update introduced a strange flickering of the display color temperature. Everytime I tap the screen, the color changes. It is almost as if nightmode would constantly toggle (this is unrelated to Gapps and happens also when flashing only the rom itself).

mind the gapps will work and i will fix the problem next update, you can turn it on night mode cause that stops it from flickering

@Kaijones23 I tested the 10-27-21 build and wanted to let you know about a few things:
• My SDcard is detected at boot with no issues
• NewPipe isn't working, when you attempt to play a video it gets this black and white glitching and NewPipe stops the video with the error "Unrecoverable player error occurred" (Haven't seen this issue in other apps)
• As somebody else stated there's this weird bug with "LiveDisplay" that causes the screen to flicker between white and orange (you acknowledged this issue above)
• There is a persistent notification from "Android System" that says
"Serial console enabled Performance is impacted. To disable, check bootloader."
It can be disabled if you disable the notification channel for it.
• When "Advanced restart" is enabled and I use the reboot to recovery option it hangs on the Amazon screen with "=>RECOVERY Mode..." in the bottom left corner.
Click to collapse
Yes. I tested the 27 Oct beta.
I had same issues for videos with newpipe and YouTube.
Mind your gapps work on my device.
Confirm that SD card is detected on boot

Yes, we're aware of that issue already. My patch only fixed the fdsan error (and after that, some apps like VLC started working). The newpipe crash is completely different (needColorConvertWithNativeWindow). As kai suggested already, you can use Vanced youtube in the meantime (since it's working now).
Thanks for the amazing work and brining this device back to life.
On the 20211028 build, I noticed that we are spoofing the device fingerprint Pixel 5. I tried SafetyNet test which came back as failing the basic test. This is needed to install apps like Netflix and Disney Plus.
I tried the standard HideProps and they all seem to fail. I wonder if there is something related to the ROM.
Upon seeing this thread I have elected to pull the trigger on a 2021 Fire 10. Thanks for all your work on this - though I'm long out of touch with my java skills (used to maintain the GS3 for Ground Zero Roms), I will at least be more than happy to beta test.
Cheers, and stay well

Bugs
VoLTE/VoWIFI (Samsung's implementation doesn't work on AOSP)
Various camera limitations (no [email protected], 4k recording and 64MP)
Camera apps that use the CameraX framework produce ~70mb JPEGs
Installation instructions
Make sure you are on OneUI 5 firmware before flashing this ROM, otherwise the installation will fail!
NOTE: Usually, installing a custom recovery and vbmeta requires you to use Odin (Windows) or Heimdall (Linux/Mac). However, as Heimdall is often troublesome, you can also use Odin4 (Linux) which works by far better and easier than Heimdall. See the Odin4 XDA thread here.
Recommended
Follow the guide on the LineageOS website: A52 4G | A72
Alternative way (TWRP/OrangeFox)
Make sure your device's bootloader is unlocked.
If not done before, download vbmeta.img from the LineagOS website (A52 | A72) and pack it into a tar file.
Make sure to have the latest available version of TWRP/OrangeFox installed.
If wanted, backup all your necessary partitions (super, boot, data, EFS) before flashing this in case something goes wrong.
Download the lineage build for your device from the link below and optionally download your preferred GApps package too.
Flash the LineageOS zip using the "Install" button.
Optionally, flash Gapps right after.
Format data in TWRP/OrangeFox as the very last thing, otherwise you may end up in a bootloop if coming from stock ROM.
Wipe metadata and cache partitions. This only has to be done once when you install LineageOS.
Reboot

FAQ
Can I root my phone with this ROM?
Yes, just install the latest version of Magisk.
How can I pass safetynet?
Follow this guide.
Automatic camera flash doesnt work!
That's an issue with Lineage's camera app. Use GCam or any other camera app instead.
Reserved.
Excellent job, as always!
Great work. Good to know that there's active development for the phone I plan on using for the next few years.
I need a guide on how to become so pro

Wipe metadata and cache.
Nice Job @Simon1511 , I use GCAM Mod and NikGapps Core A13 and it works in the ROM. Also packed TWRP + vbmeta disabler to be flashable in ODIN to make it easier for user that starting from stock rom.
very good but there's a glitch I've experienced since 19.1, if you use FOD while screen is off then you can't use quick settings pulldown, it'll just open the notification panel the first time you do it
Wow that's awesome!
Do you know if I can backup data in TWRP 3.7 while on 19.1 and restore it after updating to 20, and keep all my apps and settings?

I'm not sure if backing up and restoring data makes much sense, you could just backup your data and then dirty flash LineageOS 20. In most cases that should work fine, but I can't guarantee anything.
Ah yes, makes sense. I'll try in the coming weeks
Plesse report your results.

You can use Migrate to backup your apps (with data and settings) and restore them on A13.
Anyone else getting a System UI crash when unlocking with fingerprint? it restarts the apps everytime you unlock in scenarios where it'd use the new A13 FOD animation but nowhere else
The brightness error persists, does it go up to the maximum in this version?
quickly detect the fingerprint? on a12 it was very slow to detect
Does safetynet pass?
Update
14-11-2022: A52 (MEGA) | A72 (MEGA)
Changelog
Code:
-Latest LineageOS sources with November security patch
-Switched to using latest clang
-Switched to R RIL blobs to fix signal strength indicator
-Replaced LineageOS livedisplay display modes with AOSP display modes
-Added tap-to-show AOD setting (Settings->System->Gestures->Touchscreen Gestures)
-Improved auto brightness behavior with high screen brightness
-Selinux Enforcing
-The stock camera app now supports using aux cameras (ultrawide, macro, tele cameras)
-Limited proximity sensor range in which the sensor activates when touching the screen
Rom runs really good on A72 but the fingerprint sensor stopped working all of a sudden. Is it common?
