Hi Everyone.
I'm currently using a refubrished Galaxy S8 plus, the model is SM-G955U.
As you can guess this is a phone destined for the USA market but currently I'm using it in Bangladesh which is in another continent.
As a result i didn't receive any updates after purchasing the phone and whenever i try to download update manually it says, "Registration Failed"
Can anyone help me to update my phone? I have attached screenshots in which you can see the current software version of the device.
Also if updating to official Samsung software isn't possible then can anyone suggest me custom ROMs for this model!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You should get updates automatically irrespective of your location. Try the site https://firmware.science/ and select your phone and firmware version and follow the instructions .

Failed registration may be because of the fact you aren't using a US SIM card.
U models also.. don't have much custom ROM abilities. It's a locked Snapdragon. You can use firmware sites to be able to download updates respective of the model number.

I live in europe and I would like to know if one of European firmware can be installed , i mean V500EM firmware;
and if yes how it can be done?

There shouldn't be an issue with the Korean version. Just debloat it with adb and you'll be good.

the seller told me that in addition to Korean bloatware there is also a booting logo, whit adb can i deblot also booitng logo? (i don't know this adb program i never used it)

No you can't debloat the booting logo, but it's literally just a boot logo. Not like you can customize it with European firmware

?? I said you can't change boot logo. Just use app inspector to find packages that you want to uninstall and debloat with adb.

the two phones have identical hardware the korean model only has the extra digital tv

They don't have identical hardware because there's regional hardware locks that prevent cross flashing. They are tiny fuses which can theoretically be blown somehow in 9008 mode but that requires the firehose.

Hi guys how are you? i'm waiting for my v50 to arrive (bought imported), i wanted to know a version of the lg flash tool for him, because i saw that it is possible to downgrade the korean rom with operator apps to the version without mobile operators (of the same model, V500N), if have send me the link here please, with the dll and everything that is necessary, thank you in advance!

I don't think you can do cross flash actually, but you can just uninstall all the bloat
I have the LG V50s HK version. Can the firmware be changed to the Canadian firmware without any issues?? Thanks in advance for any help.
