my first post after trying everything
I am currently on BLN-TL10C01B380 EMUI 5.01 Android 7 on my 6x BLN-TL10
AFTER I messed up by running a OTA on rooted and unofficial unlocked previous EMUI/Android version.
Well, device is back alive BUT I lost the OEM Unlock function in developers and what's worse the external SD card is bricked. Apparently pin codes are lost after a full wipe, update to different android version and any previous used external card won't be accessible anymore.It is asking for SDcard PIN though but the one I used is getting rejected. ..
I tried several recovery apps on mobile and PC but no success. I removed the extSD to be save and now this !!
Additional problem, I need ROOT back ! I tried multi tool, paid services etc.... NO OEMUNLOCK option visible. I even tried official unlock but got told I have to visit Huawei Center. Which I cannot since I am in Swaziland/Africa.
A rollback is not available for this model. Could I use firmware finder? Move to older version?
Any help is greatly appreciated
No advise? Am I the only one? ... no phone isn't stolen either.
At first relock bootloader.the phone will be reset factory.then oem unlock.and again bootloader unlock and root the phone

I know that my device is bootloader locked (Was on O2) and I would like to root it. However I would like to keep Android 7.11. Is there a temporary root for it? I know there was for Android 5 and 6.
Also someone else on the forum managed to get their bootloader unlock to yes. If there is a paid for utility that does that I would pay for it.

Soory i am so late to answer but kernel codes for nokia 5.3 are now available on their official site....this can b3 used to unlock the bootloader

Hi, can you post a link and more info for this? I've seen that there is the GPL source code for some phones on the official nokia website, but I have no idea on how that can be used to unlock the bootloader. Maybe you can link to some guide available online?
I also need it to unlock the bootloader, and root, for the Nokia 2.2 (for which there is no source code on nokia's site, but maybe other phones' code could be useful instead).

Bootloader unlocking option is there in the developer settings itself. But is root available for this device?
The thing is if you do try to unlock the bootloader it doesn't work the unlock command

when trying
fastboot oem unlock
you'll get
FAILED (remote: 'Failed to unlock, decrypt failed!')
because you need first to do
fastboot flash unlock unlock.key
so you can then unlock the bootloader
fastboot oem unlock
So the main thing is to generate that key. Nokia officially unlocks the nokia 8 but not the 5.3. I'll start checking their kernel which is freely available at

Hi, i too, need the unlock code for my Nokia 5.3; its a very common phone sold in supermarkets also i noticed. Maybe Hikari Calyx who did amazing job here with difficult 2.2 Nokia can help with this one too?!? =D ....

I don't think there is really a "unlock" partition it is probably just a file system that is made by the bootloader , checking the kernel source code is going to be useless as the unlocking mechanism is controlled by the bootloader , maybe using QFIL in 9008 mode and then flashing a modded devinfo (Same thing used in the Lenovo tab 4 10 , due to the bootloader unlocking option being greyed out)
We need someone with an unlocked Nokia 8 to dump the DevInfo through QFIL before and after unlocking the bootloader , we can use this data to see if DevInfo partition controls bootloader unlock state.
