OP 6 stuck with no IMEI/MEID/BASEBAND/MAC address - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi,
My OP6 is stuck and keeps restarting. I have flashed all stock roms via MSMtool from hydrogen OS to Oxygen OS 10.3.5. Even tried fastboot rom flashing with no luck.
Flashed stock OS via twrp still nothing.
I do have a backup of my EFS partition but flashing that via fastboot/terminal makes no difference in any stock OS.
I have searched every topic related to this particular error but didn't find any fix yet so was forced to create a new thread.
Need urgent help, it has been 3 months now and nothing worked. Few times my phone did boot properly with IMEI and other details but after few days same error( Don't remember what I did which fixed earlier)
Also, I did visit the repair shop but they didn't find any motherboard or IC damage whatsoever.
Experts/Mods need your help.

If you've efs backup which is uncorrupted, modemst1 & modemst2, flash modem files via fastboot, flash twrp image, flash twrp zip installer, reboot to recovery, wipe all partitions & flash OOS and simply reboot after flash, if your efs backup is not corrupted already, it should boot up fine

Unfortunately it didn't work for me. Now when I'm flashing oos 9 and above, 10.3.5 via MSMtool from unbrick thread..the OEM unlocking is greyed and can't unlock bootloader.
I hope I find a solution as nothing is working, how to verify if the EFS backup I have is not corrupted? Also, I do have a QCN file for IMEI backup will that be of any use?

Have you tried 5.1.5 oos? Even if it is an old android version, it should save your device and as far as I know it does not change anything if the bootloader is off.

Yes I tried, Oneplus_6_A6000_international_Oxygen_OS5.1.5_22_O.09_180517(MSMTool) still no imei/meid/mac address and frequent restarts.

Is there a fix for restoring EFS partition if the backup is corrupt?
Msmtool won't fix it? Flashing persist is also of no use

Guys any fix for EFS PARTITION? If it's corrupted

Your bootloader is locked????
Try to unlock it using command "fastboot oem unlock" , without commas in fastboot mode
See if it unlocks it?

Mi4i stuck in fastboot mode . Long press power button still takes to fastboot.

Hi guys my mi4i is stuck on fastboot. If I long press power button , It again reboots to fastboot mode.
Tried flashing a stock ROM with MiFlash tool , from command prompt and in both cases flashing is shown as success but still I'm stuck in fastboot.
Surfed a lot and flashed TWRP from fastboot. I'm able to boot into TWRP recovery but my internal stoage is shown as 0Mb and when I try to flash any custom rom it is showing error 'unable to mount /system , /data , /cache' .
Guys please help me out here this is driving me crazy.

You probably messed up your internal partitions. Well if you can boot into fastboot mode, then all hope is not lost. Use the Miflash tool to flash the stock MIUI ROM in fastboot mode.

I already did that and MiFlash always shows success after some 200 odd seconds and the device boots right back to fastboot.
Try flash fastboot rom using the same version that you came from. Or use famous stable one like 6.6.10 fastboot rom and reflash. Or using older miflash tool. If possible verify the md5 to make sure your file is not corrupted. There shouldn't be any issue if everything is done correctly.

I think there is 3rd party plugin software that integrates md5/hash calculator in the details tab in file properties windows, though it has been long time since I used it.
Md5 is a sum to calculate whether the file u have is the same as the one in server, though it is very rarely corrupt, unless ur Nand or hdisk is faulty. I think just flashing global files via miflash should fix ur problems. If the miflash does not flag as corrupt, your ROM is fine.

Fastboot loop - device won't load recovery

Hi all,
so after system update of OOS which ended up in a boot loop and losing the TWRP recovery (back to stock)
I was trying to get TWRP (back again) via fastboot I was able once to get TWRP loaded once and was even lucky to able to load the Nandroid backup "successfully".
but unfortunately, after restarting...nothing... always getting back to fastboot main screen with no success of booting normally or into recovery mode.
also, not able to re-flash the twrp.img to reach again for the backup.
is there another way to get back TWRP and load my backup file? by using fastboot commands?
I just had the same issue.
I managed to fix it using a fastboot image https://drive.google.com/open?id=1fqvjJ-lC7w2wtcxYwlbmZ4pRW60psODV
After the flash completed I booted into the OS then rebooted back to fastboot and from there I was able to use fastboot command to boot into TWRP
Had a similar issue after installing a rom a while back. Posted about it here https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/help/stuck-fastboot-trying-to-install-omnirom-t3849882
Google the mega unbrick guide on the OnePlus forums. Let me know if this helps at all. Or give the other link posted there a try as well.

Np. I cant remember exactly but i think it wiped the phone. You won't be able to restore that backup unless you happen to have copied it externally from your phone before the brick.
Let us know if you manage to get it all fixed and going again. Know its frustrating having your phone bricked. Pretty much brought it back to its factory shipped state from what I remember.

Help on my TWRP bootloop phone

Hello, newbie here..
Need help!! My phone keeps booting to TWRP whenever I turned it on, connected it to PC, or even when I connected it to my charger.
It happened after I mistakenly uninstalled a system app (it is an app named Freeshare). I thought it was just a sharing app like MiDrop or ShareIt, but clearly that was a mistake.
Now I just can't seem to boot into the system, not even able to enter into the download mode.
I've tried a method that I found in here, like entering a code in TWRP terminal (it was "dd if blablabla", i forgot. Lol), to no avail.
Haven't tried to flash the stock rom or stock boot since I can't find any zip Stock Rom for my phone (my phone is Gome Fenmmy Note).
Does anyone have an idea or know how to fix it?
Thanks in advance
Did you flash MISC partition?
Give a try on this (plese, method #2 only): https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...omi-redmi-note-9-xiaomi-redmi-10x-4g.4209299/
Or you can try to FORMAT the misc partition inside the TWRP.
Or did you flash TWRP to boot partition ??
TWRP needs to be flashed to RECOVERY partition.
If you flash TWRP to boot partition, your device will boot forever to recovery.
If yes, you need to flash the original stock boot.img

You don't need to uninstall a system app for disabling it completely.
If you've uninstalled a system app, you've modified your system.
1. Did you unlock bootloader?
2. Did you flash vbmeta with disabled verification?
3. Did you root your device?
4. Did you debloat your device?
You can't modify your system before the answer for all questions be YES.
Probably you need to flash the SYSTEM again.
(Only system should be enough.)

For questions 1,3,4 the answer is YES. For question 2, I'm not really sure.
Okay, so I need to flash the system again. Can I just flash the system.img through TWRP? Since it won't enter fastboot or download mode. Since once I connect my turned off phone to PC, it will immediately reboot to TWRP.
Sorry, if I'm asking too much. Please be patience.

If you can enter in fastboot mode, you can flash the rom easily.
But it requires unlocked bootloader.
If your bootloader is locked, you need to flash using SP FLASH TOOL.
Just download the stock rom, extract it and flash using any of the flashing script (if available).
Good luck

Stuck at TWRP splash screen

I recently updated to MIUI v12.5.1.0.RCDMIXM using a recovery zip through TWRP. A few days later I decided to flash Magisk by patching the boot.img from the same zip and flashed using fastboot.
Everything worked fine until I rebooted to recovery using the Magisk app. Now it's stuck at the TWRP splash screen, can't even reboot or enter fastboot with power and volume buttons because it will always try to boot to TWRP.
What do I need to do to fix this?
This is where I got the TWRP
Just erase/format the MISC partition.
This partition holds a "go to recovery" parameter.

You said "fastboot", so you need the fastboot ROM.
SP flash tool does NOT need the device to be turned off, it just need to REBOOT.
If you try to flash while a reboot to another reboot, it will works perfectly.

Are you still in 12.5? Do you also use a custom recovery in that version?
Just managed to access a laptop and got to fix the situation. Turns out I can still use adb even though TWRP is stuck on the logo screen.
First tried the `fastboot erase misc` command but misc partition doesn't exist on the device.
Tried `fastboot continue` but won't let me use the command and `fastboot reboot` just makes it go to recovery and get stuck again.
I flashed Orange Fox Recovery and it was still stuck at it's splash screen. So I went back to fastboot and for some reason `fastboot reboot` worked now and booted to system, further restarts are normal now.
Now I'm curious, why won't custom recoveries work with MIUI 12.5? When I tried accessing root, every folder (ex. system) is in this format [1;34system[0m, does it have something to do with that?
Still trying to get the stock recovery, but there's no fastboot rom file for this version yet...

Magisk v23 works just fine, just patch the boot.img file of your ROM version and flash it with custom recovery or fastboot.

Theres one TWRP that doesnt have a splashscreen, in that one just block and unblock the screen while on recovery and it'll work fine. BUT your internal storage isn't going to be accesible, its encrypted and (for some reason) on 12.5 twrp cant unlock the storage, you'll have to do everything on your sdcard

I thinks its because they cant unlock the storage, they keep trying and just keeps stuck on trying.
