Samsung s9+ exynos question - General Questions and Answers

Hi everybody.
I'm new to the forum and in the world of roms.
Though I did root my first smartphone, an Acer.
when I was looking for a way to ban Google out of my life I soon came to /e/os.
I decided to look for a good phone thats supported by eos. At first I ordered a fairphone 3+, but because I found it a bit expensive for what it was I canceled that order and did go for a s9+ with exynos chipset. Because it's listed in the eos supported devices. But now I did read somewhere that after u flash a Rom on this phone, official updates are no longer supported..this is a bad thing isnt it?Can someone tell me more about this please?
Thank u

CECT KA09...

Just wondering if anyone is messing with any of the CECT mini-phones? I just got one and think hardware-wise it's fairly capable, but the OS is lacking and kind of flakey. I think it'd be a rockin' little phone with some upgraded firmware. I inherited a Wing from my son and have been very pleased with the firmware re-flash I've found on this site... I'm assuming the developers on this site would be able to come up with something if there were interest???
Welcome to forums
As we dedicate only to HTC devices I donĀ“t think you will see some development for a copy of an iphone
Thanks for the heads up. Guess I should have got another HTC phone. Live and learn.....

Pls Help on Rom Flashing

Hello lads... I am new here and i have a hard time figuring out what to do...
Here it goes.. I bough an Iphone clone almost 1 year ago and i want to flash it.. the problem is that i only know its brand (its a Daxian x999+) and it has WM..
I dont know what tolls to use and furthermore wich OS is compatible... any help will be great
After a quick flick through the forums I'd say you wouldn't have much luck here, particularly as the main focus is HTC Phones. I don't know how compatible the hardware on your phone would be with anything manufactured by HTC. You could always try searching the forums with "Daxian" and see what you can turn up, there seemed to be a little bit of discussion but no real solutions.
Best of luck.
I doubt very much, in fact im pretty sure, that you wont find any roms that will work with your device im afraid, your best friend here is google......

Sharp IS01

I'm wondering if anybody can help me with rooting a Sharp IS01. It's an Android phone recently released by au in Japan and there is a re-branded model shortly coming out with Docomo.

Please post here if you find out anything. I'm interested in the possibility of upgrading Android on new Sharp phones. Especially if this can help use the gadget (not really a keitai) on another operator, not just DoCoMo.
Don't know if it's locking or just plain incompatibility, but the IS01/SH-10B seems to be stuck with 1.6 and the Netwalker, for example, with Ubuntu 9.04. Same thing goes about older devices running WM.
IS01 has been rooted.
Have you got anymore details or a link?
Can't you use Google?
It's possible to install a ubuntu version on this device?
I tried to find something on google, but i find only a few links to xda forums, where someone ask about this device, and many links to articles to the launch of this device on japan, etc etc, but nothin useful.
Got something but it's in japanese and translated pages are a little weird (bad translata I think).
I wonder if someone here will start some project....
New year, good news
Someone ported froyo on this device, but like usually tha page is full japanese so I can't understand nothin.
Use google translate
www44. atwiki .jp /is01 rebuild/
The adress is modified because I'm a newbie and i can't post links, but I think this news will be userfull fot the is01 owners.
I hope mods can forgive me this time (and even my horrible english)

Help for choosing a new phone

Hello. First of all, I'm really sorry if this isn't a good place to find this new topic. I wasn't sure where should I create this topic. Anyway, I want to buy a new phone. But I'm not sure which phone should I buy. I want the phone to be not so big (smaller than 5.7" phones) and new, also with great software support (I want it to have enough custom things, like roms, kernels,.... in case that the phone's official support will end at someday anyway. It would be good if it has good camera and good sound quality, too. Is there such a phone available? Thanks in advance for helping me.
No one? At least please move my topic where more people can see it.

OK. I'm sorry. I didn't know where should I create the topic.
i dont know much about phone models..... but yeh what i know is
if your going to buy samsung then be care to buy an international version... because international version develop more roms....
and if you like ROMS/Custom Roms then dont buy a new phone .. because new phone's take much tome to struggle to present a custom ROM... else if u stuck at any situation you may less likely to find solution...
My thoughts are the LG G3, LG G4, or Nexus 5X. They all have pretty good audio quality and updates were not a problem from my experience. Also pretty good with custom software.
