Problem with custom rom on the Note 10.1 2012 - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So I tried to install a custom rom on GT-N8010.
Used Odin to flash ClockworkMod and TWRP.
I wiped cache and system.
Then I Intalled LineageOS 16.0 + Gaps: Some error while installing, so the instalation was aborted.
LineageOS 15.0/ResurectionRemix/SlimRom+GApps the instalation went fine. But on every one of these Roms the tablet is stuck in the bootscreen of the rom.
Between them I wiped cache and system.
Does someone have an idea what wnet wrong?

You need to read roms instructions .
Clockwork MOD No and use correct TWRP versions .

Thank you for the answer. But can you tell me/or send me a link, where I can read up on how to fix the tablet?
I could set up my windows machine in the sleep, but android, if they where asking me I would still use windows phone.

Xperia T (Lt30p) resurrection

Hi guys hope you can help,
After successfully installing Lineage OS on an old Samsung phone, I decided to try giving an old Xperia T a new lease of life. I followed this thread as a guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2000188
I successfully unlocked the bootloader and used flashtool to install the custom kernal listed on that thread. Thats where things got difficult, as upon restarting the phone it bootlooped. I tried flashing TWRP but couldn't get it to work so fastbooted CMD recovery, which works. I trying flashing Lineage OS as CWM13 is no longer available but could only find a Lineage 14.0 zip which I tried flashing off the exernal SD card (https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/mint/install) which fails and gives the following error:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/ubuvxbbi2a7wruu/IMG_20180304_094603.jpg?dl=0
I was thinking maybe its not compatible so was looking for a lollypop rom to try instead, but marshmallow or above would be preferable.
Now im no expert at this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Ok fixed it. Also downloaded AOSPs OREO OS and the latest twrp img. The error was resolved after flashing twrp with flashtool then in recovery under advanced wipe, select system, repair or change file system, Ext4. Then flashed OS, SuperSU and Gapps (8.1) and did a backup.

Constant Reboot

I had the official Lineage 15.1 installed with gapps pico, it was upgraded from 14.1 lineage with gapps pico + magisk 16 . Today I wanted to downgrade back to 14.1 so I flashed the latest 14.1 lineage with gapps 7.1
After booting it shows com.android.phone has stopped working and it restarts again to show the same thing.
I am able to get into TWRP recovery , can anyone please suggest me what should I do?
I dont have previous backup

Always do a clean wipe (wipe everything except internal/external storage). Always back up your previous system just in case. Sometimes it is better to flash Gapps right after flashing the ROM, sometimes it's better to flash the ROM, boot and then flash the Gapps.

[solved] Reboot to twrp when installing latest lineage16

Hello
Strange think for me, maybe not for you
I switch from carbon 8 and came back to lineage 16.
I'm not able to achieved installation with latest lineage 16, lineage microG or lineage17. Flashing the new rom works well, but after lineage home screen, the phone reboot to recovery.
With an lineage16 old version from 03/2019,install is ok and phone boot well.
I've suspected an old twrp version, but I'm on 3.3.1.0.
Any idea ?
thank you
it's the same with an old twrp version 3.2.
Ok, solved. You shouldn't install twrp as an app before rebooting to new os version.

Can't install Pixel Experience Custom Android 12

I have been struggling to install Pixel Experience Android 12 on my Poxo X3 NFC.
I had PE Android 11 before. When I tried to flash Android 12 I get following error
assert failed: update_dynamic_partition(package_extract_file("dynamic_partition_op_list"))
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1
Error installing zip file ...
What I tried
1, Install latest firmware
2. Format Data
3. Wipe data, dalvik, cache
3. Sideloading Custom Rom
Can someone help me to revive my device please?
Thanks a lot
Hello, on my wife's X3NFC I had to flash the latest Full ROM (12.5.7) via Fastboot.
Then I was able to install the lA12 PE. I don't know why I had to do this, but it worked.
She didn't like A12 PE and now A11 PE is running again on her Phone
Maybe (I heard about that) it works too, if you only flash the super.img from latest Fastboot-Image via Recovery.

I installed MIUI fastboot rom. Then I tried to flash PE A12 rom without any issues. But after successful completion, phone reboots to bootloader (Fastboot). Can you tell me what I am doing wrong?
Can you please give me steps to install PE after you've installed MIUI fastboot rom?
1st installed latest MIUI via MiFlash
Booting successful into MIUI
Flashing TWRP in Fastboot-Mode
Booting into TWRP, install ROM, wipe Caches and format data.
Reboot Phone
i'm in this very predicament. Still on PE11 Plus Edition and can't flash PE12 giving me the very same ERROR. Can someone pls post the sure way to get this done properly? Links to roms that must be flashed first would be very appreciated...

My story and a couple of questions

Hi All,
I have a new-to-me Oneplus 7 Pro. I have been trying to get Lineage with MicroG running. Well it has been quite the adventure and I have it to the point where I have Lineage running fine, and go to reflash TWRP and have bricked the phone, which takes a bit of time to get back to the point of having Linage running again. Specifics:
Lineage version: lineage-19.1-20221219-microG-guacamole.zip
TWRP Versions: I have found that twrp-3.6.1_11-0-guacamole.img works since my phone is at Android 11.
My questions are:
Are TWRP versions tied to Android versions?
When I am trying to get the last version of TWRP installed I have tried 2 approaches:
fastboot flash recovery
fastboot flash boot
Neither worked, phone always ends up bricked. I have used:
TWRP-3.5.1-guacamole-Nebrassy-3.img
twrp-3.6.1_11-0-guacamole.img
twrp-3.6.2_11-0-guacamole.img
I also have tried to boot the images 1st using: fastboot boot twrp-3.6.1_11-0-guacamole.img
and that bricks things.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Ray

If you look at the official installation page for your phone, you will see that Lineage OS 20 and 19.1 are supported. So you should reinstall Lineage OS 18.1 again, and then follow the steps on this page. Don't bother reinstalling GAPPS until after you upgrade it.
If for whatever reason you don't want an Android version higher than 11, let me know.
I specifically don't want GAPPS or anything remotely Google related. I had tried OS 20 and found that I had a problem installing apps - probably user error, but I don't need the latest and greatest. I am currently at Android 11.
I will read through the instructions, although the number of tutorials I have gone through is craze.
Can you tell me what the relationship between TWRP and Android version is, and are you able to sus out what I did wrong with my efforts to get TWRP loaded over the lineage 19 version I was using?
Thanks
Ray

So I guess you don't want GAPPS, just MicroG. Definitely read through the instructions I gave you, as they are the official installation and upgrade instructions.
I would recommend installing Lineage OS 20, because it is the version that is being maintained right now.
I will attempt to guide you through the steps, but I need to know what your situation is right now: Is your bootloader unlocked? What OS do you have installed right now? What recovery are you using? etc.
I appreciate your help. Currently I am looking at a freshly updated phone with Android 11, and Oxygen 11.0.9.1.GM21AA.
The phone is a GM1917
Bootloader is unlocked and I am in developer mode. I have adb and fastboot loaded on my computer. I also have a working version of msm as I have bricked this thing 6 or 7 times...
Several times now, I have done the following:
Install TWRP
Install Lineage
Try and reflash TWRP <-- consistently fails at this point, gets stuck in a boot loop in the bootloader screen
Thanks
Ray

"Try and reflash TWRP" what do you mean, update the OS over TWRP?
I mean trying to re-install TWRP after installing Lineage

OK. Can you try following the installation instructions and skip the unlock bootloader step? Do so at your own risk, because the steps say you have to be on Android 12 first. If you do follow them, just make sure you follow them very carefully.

To my knowledge the guides that are provided on the TWRP site don't work for Android 12 and 13. From what I've heard, you have to root your phone and then install TWRP through Magisk.

Yeah, but I was just saying how they should probably reflash TWRP instead of how TWRP's site says to, which doesn't work

This build uses Lineage OS Recovery instead of TWRP.

I know, but TWRP can be installed with Android 13 custom roms according to the TWRP thread.
