i need to downgrade my phone from pie to oreo but in the tool should i choose download only or firmware upgrade or format all+download. because the first time i did this i was trying to downgrade my phone from pie to nougat and i chose download mode with preloader unchecked. It successfully flashed but it wont turn on. So i sent to a local repair shop and they fixed it and then i tried to upgrade from nougat to oreo but this time i chose firmware upgrade. So it flashed and it booted up. So what i want to know is that if i am downgrading my software should i choose download only or firmware upgrade

After flashing phone witch generic no branded firmwere 4.4.4 phone doesn't finds update. What do I need to do?
Try to download the original firmware for your phone using the Xperia Firmware Downloader:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...perifirm-xperia-firmware-downloader-t2834142/
Just select your phone model number and the brand, then click in the right side the firmware version.
Later use flashtools to pack the firmware:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/noobs-guide-create-stock-firmware-ftf-t2188129
(Go to step 3)
And flash the new ftf file with flashtool too.
Sometimes the best way is to download the firmwares manually from the forum and flash it, because some brands don't give the latest firmware to our phones (like mine). With this way, you will have the latest firmware, rooted and with dual recovery just flashing the zip file, but first you have to prepare your phone:
Use this guide to flash the latest rootable firmware, root that firmware and install the recovery:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
then go to development section and download the latest firmware for your phone. Download a preroorted with recovery version to allow the manually updates later:

Even you can use some custom Roms like Existenz.
Greetings and sorry for my english.
Any way to Downgrade to lollipop
i tried to flash lollipop by odin but fail
My phone : j700f
Hi.
This is is what I did.
Install TWRP, if you haven't, then install a CUSTOM lollipop ROM from this forum.
If you want stock lollipop, flash it via Odin - after flashing the custom lollipop ROM.
Good luck!
Not working
first flash stock MM then flash stock LL then flash custom LL
Try it again, and make sure that the auto reboot box and F.reset time box is checked in Odin Options
Make sure you flash your country frimware. Else it will fail in odin. And use latest odin.
Bro you need to download latest lollipop firmware
I had the same problem and it was solved by fresh firmware of latest date
Goodluck ?

bro, do you flashed latest 6.0.1 if not try flashed latest version and after that make factory reset and wipe cash. also if flashed 1 file firmware not work with you so you have to flash 4 file firmware of your device.. you can use samfirm tprograme to find your 4 file firmware. and every thing will be fine
Hey Guys
i was running on Nougat latest may security patch on my device but I wanted to Downgrade to Marshmallow
Here is my phone model number
Model S6-g920F
I downloaded firmware from latest marshmallow firmware from Sammobile and tried to flash through Odin
After successfully completing the flash the phone is on bootloop.
Can anyone tell me how to downgrade without causing a bootloop
So I've rooted my phone a few weeks ago and that seemed to break OTA. Is there anyway to bypass that or always need to flash the newest firmware manually?
You have to flash it manually, because an OTA Update could brick your phone if you have modyfied anything in your /system partition.
The only way is to go to updato or something and flash the full firmware then, right?
Yea samfirm or a firmware site, and flashing via Odin should do it
