Hello Friends. I have Samsung Galaxy Gio and Android 2.3.4 on it.
I can't to enter to fastboot mode. When telephone in normal mode i try to :
adb reboot-bootloader. Telephone simply turn off and it's all. When i try:
fastboot devices -> (nothing find)
fastboot reboot -> <waiting for devices>
adb devices -> work normally. This commands i try in normal mode .
When I enter in recovery mode, adb normally work , but fastboot also don't work.
But I discover "download mode" in my telephone (vol down + home + power).
Label "Downloading" on black background appear and it's all , telephone hangs up.
Please help, How I can enter to fastboot mode and flash my custom image (i build gingerbread from sources) to rom????????????
Or via fastboot.exe i can't do this and I must to use ODIN?????????????
Surely no one encountered this problem?? I do not believe
What's wrong I do??
Shot in the dark but check to see if you have a power setting under settings for your device, if so look for Fastboot. Uncheck it. But i do not have your device

Thanks for answer, but I haven't power settings in my device.
Hi I have the following problem: after I flash Cannibal open touch recovery I could not flash any .zip file so I decided that I go back to CWM touch so I restarted my phone. Phone booted into fastboot mode with the following message no boot or recovery IMG so I decided to flash recovery with fastboot. I opened the folder with fastboot command flash_recovery connect the phone to usb but the command line always showed waiting for device. I unplugged the phone and tried to press the volume keys but nothing happened as if it freezes. I pulled the battery and try it again but no response. I cant connect phone to odin because it has broken power button and after I insert the battery it always turn on itself. Please advise me what to do thank you.
Seems your drivers have gone corrupt. Try a different system and use Nexus Root Toolkit.
I tried this option but without success. Phone does not respond to anything. No volume up or volume down. It´s just stucked on bootloader.
This link says that if you get <waiting for device> , then fastboot is not configured properly. Check out the link over here.
You may also try this command "fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.3-crespo.img" to boot into recovery without installing it.
no hope
The reason you cannot navigate in fastboot/bootloader is that your powerswitch is probably stuck in the "on position"...does your device immediately power on when battery is inserted?
The way i solved this a few months ago was to completly remove my powerswitch from the board power my device on..use quickboot to enter fastboot menu and input commands...
Also completely removing your power button makes powering on your nexus alot more complicated.
what i did was go to download mode (holding vol+ and -) and pluging phone in..this takes you to download mode
then you need to get a copy of a boatloader file to flash via odin which will reset your phone and power it on...pm me if interested i can provide you with files necessary
Hi,
I have a problem with my One Plus One. When I open the phone, there is only the "CYANOGEN RECOVERY" screen that appears.
I can access sideloading using the menu but it is not working. I tried to sideload CM12 and it is looping back to the recovery screen
More over, I cannot access fastboot mode. I tried to use adb to reboot the phone in fastboot mode but adb only sees the phone in sideload mode
The Power + vol up combinaison doesn't work...it will come back to the recovery screen
Any idea ?

Are you attempting to boot into fastboot with the cable connected? That's been known to cause issues, so unplug and try again.
Hi,
Background: I did it all a lot with my One+1/+3. I'm working with terminal & ADB command line tool. So all the enable unlock OEM. USB modes etc. are set up (I'm Android SW APP dev).
I have 2 quick questions.
Now with the Galaxy A6+ nothing works: So I get it there is no fastboot, and I'm able to get into the download mode (substitute to fastboot) only via recovery->reboot to bootloader. While I wanted to get there via adb reboot fastboot. OK.
Then I tried to flash recovery img.tar using Odin - everything seems good, but then adb reboot recovery - and I'm back in the default (useless) recovery.
Question number 1: Why flashing the recovery not worked?
Another shot: adb reboot recovery -> apply update from ADB -> adb sideload SuperSU.zip, again everything looks good, but then adb shell su - no root.
Question number 1: Why flashing SuperSu not worked?
Thanks,
Mike

You probably flashed the file correctly, where you messed up is you didn't use the correct booting procedure to keep the custom recovery, if you don't use the correct boot order, the device reverts to stock recovery.
Follow these steps to correctly flash the recovery .tar file via Odin.
1) charge battery to full
2) boot device into download mode
3) open Odin
4) connect your device to PC
5) place the recovery .tar file in the AP slot in Odin.
6) find the options in Odin, find the "autoreboot" option, make sure that option is UNCHECKED(it is easier if you do not let the device automatically reboot after the flashing process is done).
7) click Start in Odin.
8) Wait for it to flash and give you a green PASS.
9) After the flash is complete and you have a green PASS, disconnect your device from PC.
10) power the device off (or manually remove/disconnect the battery then replace/reconnect the battery).
11) press and hold volume up+home then power(or press and hold volume up then press and hold power if you don't have a home button), when you see the Samsung logo, release the power button but continue holding the volume down+home button(or just volume up if you don't have a home button) and it should boot into TWRP and you'll keep TWRP this time.

This not worked:
1. From download mode my only option to exit/reboot is power & vol down, and then it reboots into Android.
2. There is no option in Galaxy A6 Plus to remove the battery.
3. Anyway, the correct way to enter into recovery in Galaxy A6 Plus is also Power & vol up, not just down as you wrote (In both cases you end up booting into recovery).
4. Then, after it booted into Android->power off->boot into recovery: For a moment I see blue screen with Android logo, and then in goes to original recovery, printing the following:
#fail to open recovey_cause(No such file or directory)#
#Reboot Recovery Cause is [UKNOWN]#
Support SINGLE-SKU
Block-Based OTA
Supported API: 3
# MANUAL MODE v1.0.0#
Performing factory reset and repeating this "dance" gives same results.
I repeated the same with various links to TRWP versions, Some of them intended for A6 (not A6 plus):
(a) Some of those originally intended to A6 Plus failed on Odin, and some succeed.
(a) Some of those originally intended to A6 failed on Odin, and some succeed.
But regardless, in all Odin success case, the mentioned in the beginning situation repeated: No way to shut down from download mode->Boot into Android->Boot into Recovery with above message.
When rebooting into download mode, the following is printed:
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED) (in red)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-A605G
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: OFF
OEM LOCK: OFF
WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (0x20c) (some pointer to bytes in Hexa)
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB) (in gray)
RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A1, P1 (in gray)
RP SWREV: K 1, S 1 (in gray)
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE (in blue)
DID: some Hexa string
download mode !! (in yellow)
Thanks,

I corrected my typo, it was supposed to say volume up+power to boot to recovery.
When flashing recovery, you have to boot into recovery mode immediately after flashing the recovery, you can't allow the device to boot to any other modes before going to recovery, if it does, it reverts back to stock recovery.
Try this
Flash the recovery via Odin, make sure the autoreboot option is UNCHECKED, after it is done, disconnect your device, then press and hold volume up+power, hold it long enough and it should power down, keep holding them until it boots again, when you see the Samsung logo, let go of the power button.
One thing I need to mention, are you sure that your bootloader is unlocked? If it isn't, you can't flash TWRP on the device.
Also, your battery is removable, you have to remove the cover and you'll see a ribbon cable connecting battery to mainboard. You can disconnect that ribbon cable then reconnect it.

I tried "press and hold volume up+power, hold it long enough and it should power down" while the phone is in loading mode - not working. The only thing that triggers something is volume down+power (reboots into Android.
Yes the bootloader is unlocked.
It's seems impossible to open the back cover.
Thanks,

Ok, another trick is this.
Flash the recovery .tar file in AP slot, this time you want the autoreboot feature to be checked. When the device is flashing, pay attention, when it's done, it will automatically reboot the device. You need to be right there waiting and ready with your finger on the volume up button waiting to press and hold the volume up button when the device starts the reboot, if you time it right, it should boot into TWRP.

Hi! I'm new here and also had the same issue about this phone (A6 2018). The problem is it won't turn on yet I can still enter into recovery mode and Odin Download mode. Question is what should I do?
Hi Guys,
So I've just pulled my old TF101 out of the drawer, charged it and it wont boot at all - it just hangs on the Asus screen.
If I power it on holding the volume down + pwr button I can get it to a screen which says:
FASTBOOT MODE
PRODUCT_NAME - K010
VARIANT - K010
HW_VERSION -
BOOTLOADER VERSION - WW_K010-12.10.5.11-20151225
IFWI VERSION - 209.05
SERIAL NUMBER - EA0KCY176118
SECURE_BOOT - yes
FASTBOOK CMD WAITING...

I can select Normal Boot, Power Off, Recovery Mode, Restart Bootloader.
If I try Normal Boot then it just hangs at the asus logo on restart again
If I try Recovery Mode then it comes up with a red ! and says "No command"
Power Off and Restart Bootloader both work as expected.
Any ideas how I can wipe this and get it rebooted back to anything - Stock or anything as long as its android and working
Has anyone got any ideas how I can get this to boot into android?
