Hello,
I’ve an issue unlocking the POCO X3 Bootloader. Please help if you can.
Below are the device details:
• Model – Xiaomi POCO X3
• MIUI Version – 12.0.2
• Android Version – 10
Below are the things I have done:
• Setup Mi account with my SIM Card option
• Turned on all Sync options available – Notes, Contacts etc
• ‘Find my Device’ is also working
• Mi account is successfully added to the device from Mi Unlock Status page
• OEM Unlocking & USB Debugging, USB Debugging (Security settings), Install via USB.. these options are enabled in Developer settings
• After this on connecting the app to Mi unlock tool, I’m able to sign into the Mi tool, after clicking on unlock, it goes to 99% and then throws this error.. couldn't unlock please add your account in miui settings
• I have also tried factory reset, and I have also tried making another Mi account with another SIM card.. the situation is still the same.
Please advise!
Under developer options there is a section where you need to add you Mi account details. Have you done that?
There isn't an Indian variant for POCO 3 NFC yours is Poco X3, it's another phone.... Sorry

Are you sure you did it? It is 2 options below the OEM unlock option in Developer section. You have to use mobile data only and you have to receive an ”your account is bond to your device” (or something like this) message.

Welcome to the club. Have been facing the same issue since date of purchase (2weeks now). And you are not alone , almost everyone I know with Indian variant has the same issue. Waiting for poco to fix this. I've tweeted them about it, I suggest you do the same

I was waiting for someone to create a thread. I am also facing the same issue while following all the steps and it saying "Added successfully. Mi Account is associated with this device now.".
Mi Unlock Tool throws an error at 99% and complaints the device isn't bound to my Mi Account.
Also, one more interesting thing I have observed is that instead of a device name in Mi Cloud like "Redmi 5", it shows "M2007 J20CI" which is not Poco X3 ?
I have tweeted ( twitter.com/vasanthdevelop/status/1318798136987430913 ) to Poco about allowing us to unlock the bootloader and releasing the kernel sources.
i am also having the same issue device is added sucessfully to mi account over mobile data but mi ulock tool gets stuck at 99% saying bind your mi account to device.

Poco X3 NFC aka surya model number is M2007J20CG. On the other hand the Indiana varient aka karna model number is correctly M2007J20CI. On my international model it also displays my model number instead of device name in MI Cloud so that is not the issue I think.
Try use mi unlock tool mod version or old version.
There is a bug with trying to unlock Karna (indian version)'s bootloader.
A fix is apparently coming, I'd suggest you join the poco x3 official group on Telegram, and you should be able to get updates.

I tried joining a Poco X3 Telegram group where they just made fun that I couldn't unlock the bootloader ? is there another group? Could you give me the link to join the group? ?
This is now resolved I believe
Yes karna bootloader bug seems to be fixed
My karna got instant unlock 2 days back (probably because I tried to bind account almost a month back)

? Congratulations! I was wondering, even if I unlocked my bootloader now. We don't have many ?* stable (daily-driver) custom ROMs that work with Karna.
Still getting this error on Indian variant purchased last month. Any suggestions guys?

I also still can't unlock it. Did you unlock? I'm on latest 12.0.5.0 and have same error. Is Xiaomi/Poco aware of that problem? Did they respond somehow to it? Somone mentioned any reason? They promised launch day kernel source realase (another story) but what is the use of it bootloader is locked? Pathetic
We should spam this people to make themb do something with that

Hi,
Is anti-rollback enabled on redmi note 6 pro?
Can I safely downgrade to MIUI 9 from MI UI 10 without any root or flashing process.
Applications provided by my company do not work on rooted phones and customer roms like lineage os and hence I am desperately looking to downgrade to MI UI 9.
In MI UI 10, I am unable to set separate notification ringtones for each app which is difficult for me.
For example in GMail app, under Setting -> Click on account ([email protected]) -> > Manage Notifications, the notification sounds can only be enabled or disable, but the notification tone cannot be changed.
The GMail app notifies with the default notification sound set in MIUI->settings->Sound and vinration->Default notification sound
Hence, I want to downgrade to MI UI 9 as I do not know if this will ever get resolved in MIUI 10

I called up xiaomi customer care here in India and found out the device is anti rollback enabled, so the device cannot be downgraded to MIUI 9 from MIUI 10.
The downgrade to MIUI 9 can be done by visiting the Xiaomi service center and it will cost Rs. 150 plus taxes to get the downgrade done.

Hi,
I am not spreading mis-leading information. I have actually confirmed with the xiaomi helpline representatives in India that RN6P is anti rollback enabled and it cannot be downgraded to MIUI 9 using recovery ROM.
In case you wish to clarify the same from your end, you can call up the Xiaomi India helpline on 1800 103 6286.
Hope this is what you were looking out for, if there is any other clarification I can help with pls do let me know. Thanks.

Yea but they're wrong. Redmi note 6 pro comes with ARB 4 out of the box. The newest Verizon's are ARB 4 too. So it'll work. Go to MIUI forums and search, people have done it
Hello guys, i've buyed a mi note 3 to a guy, the cellphone was appearing a error with find phone or something like that.
I updated him in hope that the error was fixed, but to my surprise the phone was linked to another Account, is there something i could do to remove this account and use the phone? or i was just played fool?
Thanx for the attention!

i,'ve send them an email, just waiting, no response yet.
The phone was link to a previous account you can't do anything legally correct now. If you have unlocked bootloader you can use a custom rom or use ramdon programm to pass the security part but they aren't for free.
I was looking to buy this device but I want the miui dialer and messages app instead of the Google one which comes pre installed. Anyone here using poco X3 Indian variant and able to use miui dialer on with native call recording please reply.

Yes, I understand that Google dialer is present on the device but anyone tried or able to get the miui dialer by installing rom like miui EU version or any other way on poco x3 indian version?

Searching exactly for this (Mi dialer because I want Call Recording too) I think that just stock Indonesian rom or custom rom xiaomi.eu are the ones that uses Mi dialer. I'll pretend to test Indonesian fisrt. Currently I'm in Turkish stock version and it has Google dialer too.
I think you can flash eu rom. It has mi dialer. I will be able to unlock my device tomorrow. Than i can test. Mine is also poco x3 (Indian variant)

Hi. I am currently using elite rom. It's based on eu rom. This & eu both has mi dialer with call recording option.
Yes I did flashed the Indonesia rom and locked it. Name only changed to poco x3 NFC but codename is exactly same name as karna after flashing. Miui dialer and messaging works perfectly . Native call recording works also. No problem. You can buy it ,unlock the bootloader and flash this rom
Hey there, I had the same problem until now.
My device is poco X3 indian , its codename is karna
I have successfully flashed Indonesia rom on my device and locked bootloader
I have got the mi dialler and mi messaging working perfectly fine now
If u are going to flash the fastboot rom make sure to choose the 12.0.7 version and make the flash file folder name simple like " poco " to avoid any issues while flashing .... U can try it out too and share your experiences....
Here are the pictures attached
Thank you

Actually I too flashed Indo and locked bootloder, andn when I checked it made play store uncertified with locked bootlodder , I cant do anything to solve this , so I unlocked the bootloader and flashed back the indian rom to my device, I think the problem is only there for our device ( poco x3 ) , other device doen't seem to have this issue .
Hi,
I'm waiting for my Poco X3 NFC global version to arrive. Will I have to wait the 7days in order to unlock the bootloader ? if so, is there a way to unlock it instantly ?
Thanks Poco users !

thanks jerry rig the language
Well yes but actually no
You have to wait 7 days don't remove the mi account from the device you want to unlock or you will wait 7 days again
Make sure you use the mi unlock tool to start the 7 days count down

I have read that the indonesia version of the ROM for Poco F2 Pro is more stable than the EEA one.
I also read that the indonesia version has the call recorder.
Are there any other differences? Network management type?
Thanks.

Use the INDO V12.0.4.0 version which is super stable
I am now on INDO V12.2.2.0 and it has many bugs, GPS does not work, recent app, battery discharges fast ...
I will return to INDO V12.0.4.0 and disable the update so as not to update.

Will I lose anything by going from EEA to Indonesian ROM? Like bands or languages or anything?
I'm in a process of unlocking the bootloader and downgrading from Android 11 to android 10 and I'm wondering which ROM is the best. I think a call recorder is a nice feature to have. I had it in my Zenfone 6.

I'm using a very strict banking app and I'm afraid they wouldn't like each other. Many users of my bank's app complained about that, but their developers always know better. Sometimes it doesn't even work with stock ROMs on some devices stating that they are rooted.

The main reasons why I'm going back to Android Q are:
the full screen not working in A11 (status bar always visible),
phone not streaming audio to the car head (stopped working after upgrade to A11)
and annoying animation when minimizing an app and going to the home screen (can't be switched off)
Are these bugs fixed in the eu ROM?
