Hi ,
I am a new android user and have never used odin before. My ATT S8+ is on CRD7 software right now which I downloaded from Samsung science firmware website. I would like to know how I can update to latest ATT release so that I can receive OTA updates in future. Would appreciate if someone can provide me with download links and steps to install the software.
Thanks,
Unless you have modified the phone in some way, you should not need to do anything to receive OTA updates.
Hi.
I have a G955U Galaxy S8+ AT&T Factory Unlocked on Android 7.0
Baseband Version: G955USQU1AQC9
Android Security Patch Level - April 1, 2017
I no longer live in the US, and currently in the Philippines. Phone works great and the signal is too and all, but I cannot get OTA updates. Every time i try to update it says that its up to date.
I have tried different ways to update it that i read online, The latest one that I have tried is following the steps given from this Thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s8+/how-to/sprint-released-oreo-s8-s8-flashing-t3915872 but it gave me this output https://prnt.sc/oqjnp6
My phone is not rooted or anything just a normal phone. I am just trying to update it to the latest Android Version 9.0(Pie) , I just made this thread for the reason of maybe someone can help me on updating my phone.

Hello,
I need help with my S9+ from ATT. It is still stuck at Android 8.0. I am no longer with ATT and am no longer in the US (Asia now). When i try to do a software update on my phone, it says it is already on the latest update.
How am I able to get the latest update? I have yet to try Odin as I am new to it and am scared that it will brick my phone. Is there any firmware and guide on how to put it to my phone? If successful updated to android9.0, how am i going to get oneUI and subsequent updates?
Is it also possible to make my att phone into a phone that is directly bought from samsung store? So that I am able to get updates directly from samsung?
Please advise. Thanks.
Regards

Hello! I have an T-mobile version of LG v60. It is permanently unlocked and it has the V600TM20n update. I tried researching on internet about the LG V60 variant, and I couldn't find much information.
Can somebody tell me:
If it is possible to prevent the updates from applying during midnight?
If Android 11 version is still 'root-able'?
If not, is still possible to revert to an older version of Android without losing carrier unlocked status?
My main concern is that these updates will disable my ability to root the phone. Thanks.

Yes,youcan turn off auto updates in settings.Yes,A11 is still rootable. And,yes you should be able to downgrade and you won't lose carrier unlock.

Turning off auto updates and settings does nothing to actually prevent the phone from updating on its own.
Some of us tried preventing Android 10 to 11 but it didn't work. Is anything different for Android 11 to Android 12? If you did get it to stop can you detail what you did? It would be quite helpful.
If you are rooted and unlocked, your phone will not update. It will "error" out everytime.
You will continue to get the nag screens, but the phone won't update. That's been my phone's behavior.
