Weather Widget Google feed doesn't appear - Google Pixel 3a Questions & Answers

HI Everyone, I've got a pixel 3a with Android 11. My " problem" is that I saw a lot of yt videos (especially pixel 3a reviews) , where is shown a weather widget in the google feed page (the left page in the home screen to let you undestand) . In my pixel doesn't appear. Never. There is a reason? Is just some setting, or somekind of server rollout (?). Thanks for your support, and sorry if my english is not the best, but it's not my original language.

New to EMUI - Q about Look and Feel with Google Maps

Hi all,
i'm totally new to EMUI - First device is the Honor 8 now - before more or less proud owner of a HTC Deside, Galaxy Nexus, Nexus4/5, LG G5 - Compared to the device history i have i am pretty impressed with the Performance - Battery Life and overall "add on" functionality when it comes to app controll and so on. Nonethenless i have one question i was not able to "solve" here for the moment. As far as i can see the "Banner" is used for the headsup notification from "stock android" - As these are themed i have some "strange" appearing things like the google maps navigation when it comes to turn by turn instructions (the green headsup/banner notifications when a turn is ahead) - simply is cut off somehow.
i think this is maybe a general problem to emui theming and cannot be solved except finding a theme that goes well with my needs? any advice for google maps? ^^

Yes I have the same issue... guess we will have to wait until EMUI gets an update that fixes that problem

[Completed] [Info]{Update}Nova Launcher updates application, counts Google Pixel style features

On the eve of its fifth anniversary, software firm TeslaCoil Software announced that it is launching a new update for its Nova Launcher application. The update, which was released on Google Play Store, has been under extensive beta testing for a while and is now available for all users.
According to a report on Android Police website, Nova Launcher is one of the most popular user interface skins for Android users. A full change log of the update has also been released by the company
The log counts additions, such as swipe to open drawer and search bar (similar to what is available on Google Pixel smartphones), a new search view with tabs for frequent, recent, and new applications, timeout-styled screen lock method, double-tap swipe gestures, Android 7.1 launcher shortcuts, dock backgrounds to draw under the navigation bar, and a quick start interface to change major settings easily.
With the update, Android users can now make their launchers look similar to the Pixel Launcher. The website claims adds that with the new update, Nova Launcher comes with a cleaner interface. It states that though the new gestures come across as a bit unusual, it helps a user in gaining a quick access to more features without deranging the UI with extra buttons.
The app can be downloaded both from the developer's website as well as Google Play Store.
Google launched its Pixel smartphone at an event in October this year. The handsets are the first to come without any OEM branding. Pixel and Pixel XL are available in aluminium and glass frames in three different colour variants - Very Sliver, Quite Black and Really Blue. Both run on the latest Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box and support Google Assistant already available on the company's VPA assisted messaging app Allo.
Pixel XL sports a 5.5-inch QHD (1,440x2,560 pixels) resolution AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 and an integrated Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor on the back. Pixel, on the other hand, comes with a 5 inch screen with full HD display, with the remaining configurations remaining the same for both. The battery on board Pixel is a smaller 2,770mAh.

[Bug] Google Photos v3.2 & Edge Sense

Hello everyone,
I found a serious problem together with some users from HTC Taiwan fans group.
How to reproduce:
1. Set Edge Sense shortcut as short squeeze to launch HTC camera (the default);
2. Screen off;
3. Use Edge Sense short squeeze to launch camera;
4. Take a photo;
5. Tap on the photo you just took (on the bottom right corner if in portrait mode)
6. Delete the photo
7. And tell me what's happening on your phone. "Ta-da", lol
Personally I think it's another compatibility problem between HTC and Google Photos. Before v3.2 it's the lag problem while deleting unsynced photos in Google Photos, now it seems Google fixed the lag, but introduced another problem... If you guys have some thoughts, do share down below in the comments.
Thank you.
Update: happens on HTC 10 too if using shortcut to launch the camera.
Me too. I experienced this problem before but I can't replicate it and find the cause until I read your post.
Thanks for sharing.
My phone also has the problem when take the photo then tab on the latest photo to review, however, the screen shows the black screen with camera icon then switch back to camera app again.
I have to tab on the latest photo icon again to review the picture.
Anyone experience this?

Definitely is Google photo update.

Google Assistant on ANY language (barely)

Im using my phone with hungarian primary and english secondary language (Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 8.0.0 not rooted) and Google Now main language is us english adn secondary is hungarian. Recently i donwloaded te original Pixel 2 launcher form apkmirror and i installed and set it as my main launcher after that is launched weather with the widget added the shortcut then i reset launcher 3 for ma main launcher.
After all of these i am abel to use Google Assistant with US English lanugage even if my phones main language is hungarian. After a few hours later it becomes unavailable but if i do the same steps with the pixel launcher and weather it becomes available.
Every time when I launch weather with that shortcut the Assistant gets available for a short time.
Now it seems its just a bug but i really hope that it will be available soon with english on any phone lanuage. It woul be really nice.
(The assistant works as well as with english primary phone laungage.)

Weird Missing Icon / Language Issue?

Not sure if this belongs here or it's Oneplus 6T specific. I have received my device back from manufacturer repair and before restoring, I have rooted with Magisk etc. I am running Android 10. I then went on to set up my device as usual however I noticed a weird issue when:
1. Exploring Titanium backup preferences, the 'Star' icon is missing and is instead displaying a white rectangle with a cross
2. The different languages in Swiftkey also show the same icon instead of sample text from that language
3. Google translate also shows the same icon instead of the translated text in native language.
Has anyone experienced this before and is there an easy resolution? I don't want to wipe as it took an age for 300 Apps to download from the app store
