The only working as I expect is this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.netmanslab.sa - but it's rather annoying, asks form ma gps location, it's bloated with ads and also changes are lost after reboot (I need to enable it again). And most annoying - it blocks possibility to install applications from apk file.
So do you know any mod/app etc to adjust white balance (RGB)? It should start with system, it should be invisible.
Yes, you could try this...
This allows you to set the White Balance, Tint and Brightness of your screen...

All of a sudden my phone decided to enable the dark theme yesterday and I can't get it to go back to the light theme. I did not change my wallpaper - still on the default actually.
I've tried forcing it to go light under Settings > Display > Theme > Light but to no avail.
Anyone else running into this? How do I resolve without being forced into resetting the entire phone?

Try changing wall papers and reboot a few times.
Just tried that, but no luck.
The strange thing is that it's only the quick settings panel and volume/power panel. Folders are showing up correctly.

I also have the same issue. I had mine set to auto and it randomly switched over to dark.
I've been on dark theme since I got my Pixel 3 but this morning I switched it to automatic and my app drawer, and Google discover feed turned white based on my wallpaper but the volume UI as well as quick tiles stayed black. I switched for forced white, rebooted several times and it's still not completely white as it's supposed to be. Hope someone comes up with a solution.

I really don't know if this will help, but, have you tried removing or adding some of the QS icons and then rebooting. What the heck, worth a try I reckon.

That was a good suggestion, I also thought of that and unfortunately it didn't work. When you pull down QS and click the edit button there is even a reset option in the top right which I tried as well. Changed wallpapers several times, rebooted the phone both regularly as well as into safe mode. Still stays in dark theme. It has to be something server side Google accidentally did similar to recently when they accidentally switched all Pixel phones to battery saver mode over night. Who knows, hoping it gets fixed soon.

Bummer man. Hopefully the googleites will get it resolved for you all. If your bootloader unlocked, have you tried fastbooting the factory image. Or, factory resetting?
I'm glad I'm not alone. I ended up resetting the phone. Hopefully a fix is in the works cause I ain't resetting again.

Just had this issue this morning.
I figured it out that, if you go into Android Messages app, and disable Dark theme in that app, then the System UI changes back to the Light theme, (if that is what is selected, or should be using based on wallpaper)
I have already reported this to Google, and they had an engineer work with me to get a Bug Report sent to them.
OMG you're right. I just tried it. Looks like the Messenger update pushed last night to my phone doesn't address the issue yet.
Have a solution to this issue (one that will allow me to keep Messages app in dark theme). The problem is Settings > System > Developer Settings > Night Mode is stepping on Settings > Display > Advanced > Device Theme. The Night Mode setting in developer settings I had it set to "Always" and it was keeping the notification shade from turning white with the rest of the launcher stuff. I turned that to "Always off" and now in the display settings if I set the device theme to light, the notification shade turns white, if I set it to dark, the notification shade turns dark as it should.
Another workaround:
Instead of turning off dark theme in Messages, just toggling the Battery saver on off will do the trick
Had the same issue - this fixed it!
Stuck on Light Theme , Dark don't work
in Advance Display Setting, Dark Mode don't work ! It's Selected But, Setting Menu Still Light.
I also see this, and can change the system theme from the messages theme. Strange.
Another weird quirk is the lock screen font color is black. This seemed to have happened after updating the January security patch. Anything else have this issue?
Mine in nougat 7.1
Beta version latest on this date nougat 7.1
My phone is now updated to One UI 2, Android 10. I was expecting this to result in eg gmail app being in dark mode, but it is not. I've checked for the themes option in Gmail settings but it doesn't exist.
I also tried force Dark mode in dev options but this did not sort it. Also this did not seem to force whatsapp into a dark mode.
Have you tried a complete system cache clean up from recovery?
It is worth trying.

Tried this. Now have Gmail in dark mode (as set in display settings) Thanks for the tip [emoji1531]
WhatsApp still not in dark mode when force dark mode is enabled.
Most of my apps went dark except for Google one. Even my bank app did which i thought wouldn't because of the security factors.
But its not perfect Facebook and Mesenger seem to go dark but you get inverted colours on most of it, if i want to use them i have to turn off force dark mode.
I would like Google to bring back Dark cards for Google Feed and assistant.
Use #hex if you want to customize Some backgrounds like gmail, maps, Assistant ect.
When I turn on dark mode for Snapchat from my settings, the screen remains white in Snapchat and also the text becomes invisible. I desperately want to use dark mode but it's not available. Please help. I tried third party apps, but it's of no use.
My One Plus 9's screen's whites (e.g., on a white background web page) seem to be actually a bit off-white, like a very, very light gray. I took screenshots to make sure that #FFFFFF was being displayed.
I've tried playing with all the stock display settings but couldn't fix it. (I can make the very, very light gray look colder with the stock settings, but I can't make it be just white.)
I can fix it by pushing the white point to something around +0.10 with my ColorChanger app's custom mode option (root required), so I know the hardware can handle a whiter/brighter white, but I would like to be able to just set it with the system settings rather than having to make ColorChanger start on boot.
What display settings do you use in the advanced section under screen calibration?
Loose the color changer app. It can't begin to dial in the display. You can't do this by eye.
This smartphone should have excellent color rendering and white point. It's one of the best.
Make sure it's not a setting issue. Turn off Developer options for now and recheck all display and accessibility settings.
Either it's a software, firmware or hardware issue. If not running on it's stock rom start there. If already running stock, factory reset and be careful what apps you install.
-Or- find the app that caused it (preferred).
Book reading apps can alter white point settings permanently by altering hidden user settings. Uninstalling them sometimes doesn't undo the changes made by a poorly written app. Google Reader (I think it was that one) did this to me on my Note 10+. Had to reinstall it, change the setting in it, then uninstall the junk app once and for all... or factory reset
You get the idea.
Hmm. I thought I had tried all the advanced settings, but now I see that I can pretty much the same nice very bright white (and more neutral grays) by using the wide gamut settings as with my Color Changer. Don't know why I missed that. Should save a bit of battery life.
