Any custom ROM available? - Honor 9X Pro Guides, News, & Discussion

Hello everyone,
I've run into a new Honor 9X Pro (weird circumstances ) and now I'm thinking about selling the device or using it as a little gift for my gf
I found several howtos to unlock the bootloader and intall e.g. TWRP, but are there any non EMUI custom ROMs around? In a blog post I found the info the custom ROM forums for Huawei and Honor devices online seem to be pretty dead...I thought because of the google ban, the custom ROM scene should be more a live than ever?
Any feedback appreciated!
Thanks

Can somebody guide me?

Hello guys.
I'm considering to buy this phone since it packs some great hardware, it looks great, it has a big battery and now has official CM support!
(I lost my Xperia T a couple of weeks ago so now I am looking for its replacement)
Given the various versions (Verizon, global, developer edition), I am wondering if somebody could show me which threads are related to rooting the European version (Razr HD), changing the recovery and installing CM?
Thanks a lot.
I have some experience installing custom software to my devices (LG Optimus One, LG Optimus 2X, HP Touchpad and Huawei Mediapad), but Motorola is not know to be very developer-friendly, so I would like to check how it works before I do buy the phone.
Thanks in advance.
This guide should help:
http://www.andromods.com/basic-how-...ootloader-motorola-unlocking-tool-online.html
Follow their link to the Motorola unlock tool and make sure you have the correct drivers. Once you have the bootloader unlocked, you can push a custom recovery in fastboot, then flash SU binaries, ROMs, and whatever else you want.
EDIT: Whoops, missed the part where you said you don't actually have the phone yet. Well, in my opinion it's still a pretty simple process if you've flashed custom software on your previous devices.
Thanks a lot.

HTC Desire 620G Dual Sim

I recently came into the possession of a HTC Desire 620G Dual Sim (it was my father's) Android 4.4.2, Kernel 3.4.67, Chipset Mediatek MT6592 (Online is liste as android 4.4.4 but that is a lie). After days of searching the web and reading countless forums I came to the conclusion that this is a very unpopular and abandoned smartphone. I really want to change the android version on this phone, I know how to root, I learned from this forums. The only problem I have is that I can't find any android versions ported for this phone, I need anything newer than 4.4.2, I would like 4.4.4 or lollipop as i heard it runs better. I checked all custom androids none has support for this device, I cant even find this phone on the clockworkmod and TWRP list of devices. What do I do now? If I can't even install a custom recovery on this phone? So to sum this up, I need a custom recovery mode for this phone and a ported android version newer than 4.4.2. I would appreciate any help.

Hi, even if my answer has nothing to do with what you asked, you seem to have the abilities to make a backup copy of your stock rom, that's waiting that you still have your stock rom in that phone and it's european model.
Could you please be so kind to make a backup copy of your rom?
And by the way, there's at least one russian guy that has cooked one rom for this phone, even if it seems to have some issues yet.
Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm very sorry I flashed MIUI v5.8.27 Beta, a rom found on these forums ported by a guy, maybe the same guy you speak of. I regret it now, I need the stock rom back, I liked it better. I did found something over the web a stock rom but I'm to wuss to try it because there is a chance I'll brick my phone and this is the only phone I got. Do you want to try that stock rom? I'll find it again for you.

That's very kind of you. I have in fact found also a stock Rom, but is not the same the version as my phone's, plus is a Rom for phones sold in India and I bought mine at in Europe, so I prefer not to "risk" this time.
There are some sites that really have all the roms, but they want money to let you download anything, is quite "strange" and I will not say anything else about that.
Sadly, HTC doesn't provide free download for any of their devices, like they used to do and I am not sure about what could happen if I download and install one of those branded roms that can ba apparently downloaded.
Finally, what I want is simply recover the "normal" functionality of this phone, because after rooting, I lost the camera function, the whole system became absolutely unstable and getting worst, so now it resets itself without warning just like that and it's not providing any acoustical messages anymore, so I know I will never root again a phone with any of those "tools", I will do it old style, connecting with a command line terminal.
So maybe that Rom you're using may fit the bill for me, but I couldn't find a way to install cwm or twrp on this phone to install any cooked Rom and I've been really out of this chores for quite some time to know enough to find the right way to do this on my own.
So thanks for any help you can provide and I think it would be really nice to provide this Rom here because it's more than one person who needs it and apparently no one really cares about this phone, there are several people with these problems.

Hello, Community

Hi all,
i just got my P9 EVA-L09 today with B137 preinstalled. Had today "moving day",as you know, coming from htc one (m9). First problem was nfc connection and google nearby option. All i did was to no success. So got the classical move. I also saw threads about unlock with dc and rooting with SRK- tool. so i have a question: if i unlock bootloader with dc-tool, i am able to get locked status for warranty, after? How is your experience with that tool, and is twrp permanent and fully operational? So thanks for your replies and i am looking forward to a better experience with this phone than i had on m9.
Again Hi, and nice to be here...

About stock roms

Hi, I recently updated from Android 11 to 12 and I want to go back (reasons). I have a Moto G31 bought in the Philippines.
My question is mainly about stock roms if I were to flash the firmware:
- Would I be able to get it to be identical to when I bought the phone? i.e all the same few preinstalled Moto apps and it would still go through all the normal Moto updates again?
- Would the warranty (according to the device itself) be intact? also, in other words, would the phone itself know it was different from when I first bought it?
- Would a stock rom from say Brazil be different to the one I should have on my Phillippines model (assuming they both have the exact same version number RRWB31.Q3-46-85)?
Thank you in advance for any replies
You are not the only one wanting to go back. I have found the correct ROM for me (eu) but not the correct instructions. The Lenovo forum has several pages in the thread for Android 12 problems on the G31 and people are pretty upset. There is another thread here too asking for help on rolling back the ROM, and I hope someone here on XDA who is knowledgeable can help.

Realme 10 Pro+ 5G

Hii,
I want to install custom rom and custom recovery on my device.
But, I didn't found any recovery or rom all over the XDA forums.
I can't even find my device name (Realme 10 Pro+ 5G) on XDA forum.
Is anyone knows what to do..?
Please help me.
Thanks alot.
Also waiting for this. Have found bootloader unlocking tutorials on Realme community pages, stock ROMs in case of bricking the ohone, but still no global ROM as of yet.
I have found a way to root the phone, but sadly there are no Custom roms or Recoveries at this point of time. Also, there is no way to reinstall the Stock Realme UI.
Been waiting for a Cutom rom Development for long. But, I think this will be one of the devices that are forgotten in the custom development sector
