Is it worth it to buy zenfone 7 over the pro? Is the OIS so important? - ASUS ZenFone 7 / 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Does the OIS justify the overpricing for photo quality or the non pro variant is more worth it?

worth the upgrade?

guys m rocking vivo nex n now thinking to upgrade is oneplus 7 worth extra 10k to 12k?
should i upgrade?
If you can buy a cheaper Oneplus 6 or 6T, better buy those models. Oneplus 7 isn't worth it. I upgraded from Oneplus 6 and I'm very disappointed. Camera is better in Oneplus 6, vibration no improvement, no headphone jack. fingerprint scanner is preference. Battery improved a bit but my Oneplus 6 can last a day already. No substantial speed difference if you don't play games. Not worth it.

I would agree with this. Just happened I had vouchers and upgraded from the 6 to the 7.
Tried the 7plus for a day. Yuk. Selfie camera popped up in my pocket when I had a Duo call come in. Always thought that was stupid. Screen was nice but too many curves.
Just sold my 6 and wondering if I should send my 7 instead ?
If only pixel 3a had 6gb of ram and 128gb or space. That will be a better buy

To buy or not to buy

I'm considering buying 6gb 128 gb version of this phone or the nokia 8.1. Is note 7 pro worth buying, considering I like stock like experience so will have to flash a custom rom as against to android one in nokia 8.1. Is there something that I haven't considered? Specifications wise sd 675 vs 710, there isn't too much of a difference. I have been reading a ton of reviews and both have negatives.

considering you like stock experience
i recommend you to buy mi a3
pros
better camera 32mp front triple at back
in display fingerprint
stock rom
cons
but u have to give up the display
as note 7 pro has 1080p fhd but a3 has 720 hd+ only
sd 665 vs sd 675

Camera doesn't figure in my scheme of things. Not into selfie's n all. Nowadays every phone is focused on multiple cameras. I looked into mi a3 as well but found it lacking overall as my main thing on phone would be media consumption. As a user above suggested, lets wait for redmi n8 pro. Maybe by that time something else comes along that really interests me.

should I upgrade to the 7 pro McLaren edition from my 6T?

I can upgrade my phone in like a month or so and TMobile just got the 7pro McLaren edition I was thinking of upgrading and wanted to ask if I should pull the trigger or not.
Wait for 8 pro
If you can't wait for the 8pro around June 2020, then 7pro for now...
8 Pro would be a downgrade for me, going from all screen to punch hole for camera

If the leaks are true I'm not looking forward to the hole punch display. But then it's do I deal with it for the 865 or just go with a one gen old processor with a bezeless design.

I could wait but I'm not sure if TMobile is going to axe it due to lack of sales like they did with the 7 pro.

I'm not American but from what I've read they only did that due to the Oneplus 7T because the 7T pro isn't for sale there

They have a deal with OnePlus to sell them in the states originally it was because of lack of sales of the 7 Pro but I think it was because they wound up carrying the McLaren edition.
Nooo, wait for 10 pro.. seriously what are you guys saying to him, wait for 8 pro wait for that, i mean he wanna change device now, and you are telling him to wait anyway mr OP in my opinion 6t is a great for now, but if you really wanna update device, then go for 7pro (not for 7t pro or Any McLaren) enjoy the whatever current device you have, and change it to Upgrade when you feel bored.. peace
I like curved screens, if they produce an 8 Pro 6.7" curved with 865 processor, 120hz, battery life and finally gives us AOD and proper Samsung features in the OS like edge lighting as well, it would be worth it, because you can botloader unlock and root as well.
Otherwise, will just be another Apple trick on users, minimal upgrade for a lot more money. Also, they need to get their camera game elevated up higher for $900 phones.
McLaren edition? Unless you can only find the 7T pro McLaren edition, then I'd just go with a vanilla 7 Pro(if that's what OnePlus is selling in your country) or vanilla 7T pro from their website. The biggest difference at least state-side is that the McLaren edition through T-Mobile has their implementation of 5G on it and depending on the variant of 7 Pro, it has more RAM. you won't get a massive performance boost coming from the 6T, but that's the phone my wife has, and the screen is a night and day difference( I just came from a 3T, so I can't really comment too much on performance, but her phone performs just fine compared to the 7 Pro) but it's worth it for the notchless display and that buttery smooth 90 Hz 1440p+ screen alone!
Lol everyone saying to wait... Might as well wait til we're on Mars, then you can get the Mars edition...
In all seriousness, upgrade. I picked up my 7t pro mclaren edition from T-Mobile couple of days ago and don't regret it one bit. The phone is amazing. I upgraded from the galaxy s8 plus. T mobile is running an up to $300 off trade in promotion.

This close I would probably wait for the 8 Pro or whatever it will be called.
I upgraded from the 6T to the 7 Pro as soon as it came out.
The 8 will have the SD865 and like the 7T McLaren, the x55 modem.
Presumably the 8 will be unlocked for all carriers. I'd wait.
Upgrade to the 7pro Bro and you wont regret it. After seeing that hole punch the Oneplus 8 lost all appeal for me. The design of the 7pro will stand the test of time with its "True" screen to body ratio. I still would get the 7pro over the McLaren because of the lack of any significant changes that would justify spending an extra $250-300 and the 7pro already has an established development platform.

TMobile dropped the 7 pro in favor of the 7T pro McLaren edition. I'm really not a fan of the hole punch display so I think I'll just grab the McLaren edition when I get the chance

Same lol............ I.... can't.... Stand.... Punch holes, tear drops, notches, and aggressively large bezel dimensions. It's why I didn't get pixel 3 & 4 XL's or any recent Samsungs. But to be fair the 4 XL only had the bulky bezel up top. But still it was one bulky bezel too many for my investment. Pleasing design is a pretty big deal for me ?.
Get the 7T Pro McLaren .

I mean, there's nothing wrong with it. you'll get the added bonus of T-Mobile's implementation of 5g at least. I just know that they had a massive sale this month and I was able to get the original oneplus 7 pro through OnePlus for 550(8 GB, 256 GB model). I think they're practically sold out at this point though.
There's also that macro motor in the camera as well, that I would love to have, but hey, I'll save the money instead. it's also a personal choice too as I don't have any attachment toward the McLaren brand, so I don't really want the branding on my phone.
tl;dr. if you want a good solid upgrade, you won't go wrong with the 7t pro McLaren, it's just if you can find it, the 7 pro is likely cheaper, and about the same, minus the branding, the macro motor, and the RAM(depending on the model)

Best gcam phone camera+sd under €450 at EU Amazon?

Looking for a phone available at the European Amazon with the best (gcam) camera under 450 euro that has sd card support. However, I am willing to spend up to 700 euro if it is really worth it. I would have really liked the Xiaomi Poco x2, but that one is unfortunately not available here. So currently I am thinking of the Realme 6 pro and the Oppo Reno 2. Do these two have good gcam support? Are there any other phones within my price range + sd with a better camera and gcam support?
I would also appreciate a headphone jack, infrared, OIS, telephoto cam and decent sound through earplugs, but not as essential as my few earlier mentioned preferences.

P40 pro and watch gt2 and 27w wireless vs P40 pro plus alone

Which option is better, the p40 pro (256) and the 27 w wireless charger and the watch gt2 or the p40 pro plus alone.
Better in terms of? Value? If value for money then the P40 Pro and the bundle, you'd get more use out of it than an extra bit of zoom and 40w wireless charging IMO.
I also think the Silver Frost looks better than the P40 Pro Plus's ceramic back.
You can get p40 pro as low as low 650-750eur in Germany. P40 pro plus I assume is 1300? Value wise p40 pro is better
It depends on what your market is, ive got the p40 pro plu the gt2e and I love it! if you're going to buy from abroad maybe go for the plus but the Pro offer is class and for me I cant see how I can benefit more, but I would only truly know if I had the plus, its a tough decision but either way its an awesome result
