Hello, is there any stock Android without Google services that I can flash on a Nokia 5.3? Something like Lineage OS maybe? Unfortunately I haven't found a suitable version for me. Or is there a universal version?
I am also waiting for LineageOS for #nokia5.3. So, I just removed some of the google thing in my phone using ADB.

Download this official Oreo Stable and flash it using MI Flashtool.
Then use this to root and Magisk

Here you go, simple install
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/development/tool-aosp-8-0-ql1515-dec-8-2017-t3722184
It has been pull out officially due to bugs.
The tool recommended is working okay and I am grateful for the work, but you cannot lock the bootloader without issues after using it. Therefore I agree with the recommendation of @RAJEEV And would also highly recommend to use either the MiFlash tool or one of the by Xiaomi provided scripts for flashing.

Hello XDA forums,
I've recently required a global version of the mi 10 ultra after a phone swap. I'm not flash/bootloading/ROM toting gunslinger and have no clue about this software installed on the phone called TWRP.
From my research I've found it's a bootloader that allows the device to be used in other countries and gives access to Google play store.
But I just wondered whether going back to stock is an option, and if so, would that present any issues i.e. lose assess to play store.
If there is a simplified guide or any guide in general I'd be more than happy to look at it
Kind regards

Thank you for clarifying that for me having spoke to someone via the Xiaomi forums, they stated that it is used on the mi 10 ultra to by pass the Chinese stock ROM and allow Google play store.
The thing I'm lost about is what ROM am I currently using and how do I update it? Would you be able to direct me to some information to troubleshoot this?
Kind regards,
Alex

Ah no I was wondering whether TWRP is vital to it's operation, as I've tried to factory reset and for some reason it is still retaining the previous owners information. I'm thinking it's due to TWRP

Basically Yes, you will lose access to the playstore as China does not allow it on their phones. The 10 ultra's sold to people outside of China had a cutdown version of Google services put on but it did not have location history or find phone and other parts. If you do go back to stock Chinese, you can find playstore app in their version of appstore and if you install it, you can get full Google services again.
If you have the Xiaomi EU ROM installed and you live outside of China, then that version is your best bet. It comes in 2 versions, weekly or stable and both are still updated, so make your choice, stock ROM is available here.. http:/mifirm.net and do a search for cas or mi 10 ultra and install the latest fastboot or recovery ROM if you have twrp recovery installed ( you probably will if you have the EU ROM) or pop over the Xiaomi EU forum for the latest info here.. https://xiaomi.eu/community/forums/xiaomi-mi-10-pro-10lite-ultra-10t-pro-lite-10s.204/ and here for the weekly ROM.. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-12-0-12-1-12-2-12-5-stable-release.56191/ and the weekly ROM here.. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/21-6-16-17.61822/ .
All the info on twrp and the ROMs are on the Xiaomi EU forum but there is lots of help and advice here once you make your choice of where you want to go. The 10 Ultra is a dam good phone with the latest EU ROM installed.

Factory reset by formatting data partition.
Itll say type yes to confirm.
So I just found out Google disabled devices running Android 2.3.7 and older to use Google accounts out of security reasons (at least according to them). Is it possible to bypass it? Thanks.
Use a custom ROM which had a newer version of Android. If your device is running 2.3, then you'd probably be able to find a 4.4 Rom, if your device is, for say, a samsung

well the lg l3 e400 only has 384mb of ram, so i dont think its possible to even operate it with android 4 + google play functionality. This is coming from someone who tried android 5+google play on a samsung s1 (only 500mb ram), let me tell you, it worked well without google play installed, but once i installed it, it was sluggish and i couldnt manage to sign in.
if you still want to try, you can find many android 4.0-4.1.2 roms here:

find whichever one works the best for you (has the least bugs and best performance)

basically means that theyve stopped google services support for android 2.3.6 and lower.
and tbf, why not?
the minimum api for newer apps has become android 6, meaning if your phone is older than android 6 (or in some cases, 5), it wont be able to support any app updates.
So basically, devices on android 4.4 and lower may still be able to sign in, but you wont be able to use/update quite a wide range of apps (e.g. youtube).

Hi Guys, are there any version of a degoogled rom for our HV10? (latest version possibile, 11 or 12).
I really like to use it without gapps package
thanks a lot!
I don't think any de-googled rom is available. Honor after restricting the bootloader unlock killed all the development for this device.
You can try removing Google apps via debloating using ADB

I agree with you, unfortunately this device is not only old but hard to unlock (I used DC an paid for this :\ ) and this make the HV10 a scrap ... for me it's a shame, because I found this a great device now that's running an ASOP
anyway, thank for your answer
Hello everyone, my friend has this phone (Honor magic V and I would love to know if is it possible to port a rom from another phone with the same soc to this one, I once have ported rom from Mediatek to another Mediatek device but I have never tried porting on Snapdragon based device, can someone please enlighten me?
The main reason for this is to get Google services working on this device as I have searched everywhere for the way to install Google apps to no avail
Anyone?
To the best of my knowledge, it's not possible to install Google Play Services on that phone.

I have honor magic vs (chinese version sadly) its still on android 12 magic os 7 and cant install play store but for sure global rom(magic os 7.1 ) has gms integration possible. Now the problem is if chinese devices will get an update based on removal of global restrictions or not. chinese people don't use google for obvious reasons.
ping me if you have any update. I am also trying my seller to get international rom for mine.

I will, but I am losing hope as no one is willing to guide me on how it's done (the porting stuff) on snapdragon based soc, I have been doing it on mediatek but I am totally new to this snapdragon world
