Hello
I think after update to 10.3.5 my device
slowed down. On early Android 10 or Android 9 works much more responsive and fast.
Is it my opinion only? I have just a few apps, not games. What official update is fastest?
You should post on Question and Answer
Did you try a full reset? It always fixes issues
Switch to custom rom its much better in terms of performance and battery.

Flashing rom won't void your warranty. Just use msmtool to reflash stock rom before giving it for repair.
I'm on Paranoid Android and its my go to rom on op6.
If not PA ,i would go for LineageOS then Pixen.
I prefer lineageOS over pixen because of screen calibration. LineageOS is like oos little bit warm while pixen and rest others roms are too much saturated for my liking.
So i would suggest you try PA or if you're comfortable with little saturated screen then pixen.
Btw Paranoid Android has system wide app lock(like oos).

Hello, i got a little question, what is the best option for the Oneplus 6, stay on OOS or install a custom rom ?
My last phone was a Nexus 6P and i always run it on a custom rom but i don't what option can be better for OP6.
What you do whit your phone ?
Thanks for reply !
Try them both out and see which you like better. I've had my OP6 for a few weeks now, stock rooted and I'm loving it.
I tried few custom roms, usually on every phone i do. But now i returned to OOS, feels much better to me.
Same here rooted stock OOS
Rooted OOS. I've tried LOS, Havoc, Liquid Remix- always end up reflashing OOS
I am also previous Nexus 5x user. Going to flash pixel experience rom soon. Would update you about my experience.

Hey can you post back here after?
I had a really great time using Omnirom, super smooth and lightning fast. Can't remember what made me go back to OOS, but I think I had 2-3 hickups, tho I believe those were gapps related.. OOS is just so damn good to be honest, running it + radioactive kernel at this point.
Definitely OOS especially for the battery life.
Oos had everything i need and more than other custom roms (gaming mode, alarm with phone wake ecc), i've tried all the custom roms but i always end to flash back the oos.. for me it's better, but you need to try roms first to say what is better for you

I actually was on the pixel experience rom for a few days. It's a great rom, very well done, and no doubt one of the better alternatives. However, I just didn't like the stock google pixel experience (that doesn't mean you won't). I personally prefer how Oneplus does things. OxygenOS is just a real good experience (and everything works of course). Needless to say I'm back on stable OOS as of yesterday...with magisk and a couple of addons . I agree with others though; It's fun to bounce around and try different things. There are some really good rom alternatives for those that don't like OOS.

I tried MIUI, LineageOS, Resurrection Remix and Pixel Experience on my Mi Mix 2s. Here my experiences:
MIUI: Longest battery life and best benchmark results.
LOS: Daily updates
RR: Many options to customize various things
PE: Preloaded with Google's crap
With all 3 custom ROMs I had battery drain (~13% per night).
After testing these 3 custom ROMs I chose LOS, but without Gapps. No more battery drain (maybe the Gapps were responsible for it...?) and a nice, clean and often updated ROM
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions concerning LOS, RR or PE

Thank you for helping. I tried AICP and RR but found many bugs like with Bluetooth headphones so I went back to stock miui with xposed modules that allow me to customize it. Still haven't tried LOS
P3R for stock Google experience. It's also the fastest rom out there with great battery life.
For in between either aosip, arrow, bootleggers or syberia.
Havoc for a ton of features.
We are missing some info here. Best rom for what? Battery, performance, features, pixel like look, cleaned not as many features..?
Evolution X for features
almost every rom for battery (just need the right tweaks)
aosip, arrow, los for cleaned not that debloated style rom also balanced
pe, p3r, Qdp6 for pixel like experience
really you are the only one that know what you want, focus on your goal

I already tried some of the ROMs and calling them all daily drivers is far from the truth. I think you are miss interpreting what a daily driver is.

Yes that's why I am back on stock lol. I will try more later this week when I don't have work.
Bootleggers 4.2 (with canting kernel) is for me a daily driver since three months now. No 13% drain over night or something like that. (standard 2-3% i think).

I also had ~13% battery drain overnight with all custom ROMs I tested (LOS, PE, RR). Solution was to go Gapps-free (no Google Services at all). Since then I have no more battery drain (0-1% overnight) and 8.5 hours SOT... I'm satisfied with LOS now

Yes, such as the stock ROM. Don't know why I should be running anything else since the phone is still officially supported.
I'm on ElementalX though.
Full stock at present, will be switching onto lineage 17.0 once support ends.
Pixel Dust 9 CAF, the 8/15 build. The best ROM I've used, with one minor faux pas: a tiny brightness slider at the bottom of quick settings shade. Otherwise, excellent theme-ing and perfomance. (Set the cpu governor to "sched".)
LineageOS with magisk and twrp
What r u guys rockin?

twrp but unrooted atm.
I am pretty happy with Oos on my 7 Pro, it's complete, stable and super snappy, but the one thing I want from Aosp roms is the AOD. I don't know if any of the custom roms is stable enough, bugless and as fun as Oos? What are your experiences and did you return to Oos or sticked to one of the custom rom?

I really enjoy custom roms, like HavocOS for examples, however I and a small number of others experience a WiFi connection drop out issue, which forced me to come back to OOS.
However, running xXx magisk rom, xposed (for gravitybox to get features back) and a custom kernel (Arter or Bluspark for example) is absolutely the best for me right now. The phone is nippy fast, everything just works.
And this wifi bug occurs with all custom roms?
If only Mwilky can integrate AOD to his magisk rom....

Ye wifi prob is almost in all ROM expect carbon ROM at least for me I didn't face any issue...
I for one never had the wifi issues on AOSP. I thoroughly enjoyed the customization, battery life, and quickness of AOSP roms but had to go back to stock because I kept deleting all my data by not flashing DM Verity to stay decrypted. Had to protect myself from myself lol.
I just replaced my Mi 8 Pro - great phone - too rare to get any real community support - was running Havoc on that and it was a great zippy setup (SD845, 8GB RAM etc) with the OP7Pro. My reason for doing so is it's the only (bar Android One and Pixel) phone mantufacturer (read Android distribution) that I could envisage running wihtout unlocking the bootloader. and flashing a ROM. I need a clean (locked bootloader and not rooted) device for reasons I wont go into in this thread, and Oxygen OS was the only choice for me really. Love it, and have been using it since the rocky beginnings on the OnePlus One after the Cyanogen bust up.

Me I am still hesitant, it's all for having an AOD that doesn't eat 5 to 10% of battery. I am using Taichi on oos but it's a battery eater

I would forget sometimes tinkering while intoxicated. If do decide to go back to custom roms I'll just stay encryped now that I got a fill of which roms I prefer.

Its well worth it Bro. MSM Xtended has the most features and Bliss Rom is my second favorite due to the extreme amount of SOT i would get with and both are just overall better in every aspect in comparison to stock. The only feature I missed from stock was the app lock.
Just wondering if by now there is a rom better than the stock OOS? Thanks!

What you mean with stock android ? GSI make many problems and there is no other vanilla android available
I have been real happy with Resurrection Remix for the past week plus. Haven't found any bugs and it seems to be quicker with battery battery life than stock.
x2, what he said. Also the rom is 1.4gb vs 2.4 OOS. Am rooted, Pokemon go and my bank app work, YouTube vanced
Lineage
Im on crDroid. What should I say. Its perfect. Fast, battery efficient. Tons of working features and the developer is really interactive.
Tried most of them, crdroid is the best.

Well, my stock experience was limited to my days of Pixel 1. But, I have read in several forums that stock android do come with its fair share of issues. In that case, you are right. There seems to be no android flavour (to-date) that is bullet-proof.
